Into the Depth

Rate this book
Zoya Inayat is a young aspiring writer and poetess, dreams of helping the odd ones in the society to feel at home, to have a sense of belonging through her words. Being a girl who has always been a misfit, she depicts her sentiments in the rhymes she constructs, in the poems she writes.

"Life be a sea deep! So dive. Dive deep into the depth to understand the ever changing motion of the waves, let them teach you how to swim."

Into the Depth is a book comprising poems and short prose. It will take you on a journey into the depth of life which begins with constant confusion revolving around not knowing where the waves are taking you and why do they make you feel things you don't yet understand, then on the island of realizations of the bitter realities you will stop and discover the treasure of understanding, of knowing, of feeling. Then you will dive again in the sweet agony of longing for the one you love and the ferocity of your sentiments that drive you wild when it is for the right person. You will find a lover's sincerity, his sanity and madness all at the same time in these rhymes and verses. By the time the journey will end, you will find the beauty of tasting transformation and of gently embracing who you are.

Perplexity to Revelations to Yearning to Love to Transformation. Not just the journey of the author but the journey of every soul that speaks the same universal language of emotion.

First of all, an honest appreciation for the Author who has poured some unexplainable feelings, emotions, and nuances through irresistible writing in this prose and poetry book. I relate to this book a lot and I recommend to all those who love to read poetry and prose, and also to support Pakistani writers.
Reading this book was a pleasure and it leaves a great impact of words. It is written by a Pakistani so I am double proud to adore this.

The stages in this book: perplexity, revelations, yearning, love and devotion, metamorphosis. Every stage drives with a sea of magical words. The style is capturing, rhyming and wordplays meet to left me in a world of wonders. The Author defines stages of lifelike, heartbreaks, pain, happiness and many more emotions we generally face.
I am a big fan of poetry and I personally don't consider the formality of how it is written in terms of structure and style, but what is written that matters. It is written in a modern freestyle, easy to read and a pleasure to consume.

Quoting from the book:
Falling back into old conflicts,
Oh so cruel is the world's verdict.
What should I do?
Where should I go?
Distressed! Away from all eyes,
Was done with my own cries.
Isolation was the cure,
Told myself you have to endure.
