Our relationship is over. We've loved and lost. Or that's what we thought. It was one drunken night at his sister's wedding and we fooled around...a one-night hook up. And then we became XWB (exes with benefits) nothing serious--just for fun. There's no way I'd ever get pregnant right?
After years of infertility and miscarriages putting a major strain on our marriage, causing us to separate, imagine what a surprise it was for Carmen to find herself pregnant at the worst time possible. This is the premise for the story Bump: A Secret Pregnancy Second Chance ALPHA Bad-Boy Romance by Maggie Marr. All it took was getting drunk and hooking up after Dave’s sister’s wedding. One night led to two nights to a week then to just becoming exes with benefits, XWB. This arrangement was suppose to be fun, nothing serious; definitely not expecting a pregnancy to occur. Now Carmen had to decide if taking the new job and moving north was the right thing to do and not tell Dave about the baby. If only Carmen and Dave could talk and be honest with each other they just might have the chance they need for a do-over to make their relationship and marriage a success.
Ms. Marr wrote a wonderfully hot and sexy story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters, giving Carmen and Dave a chance at love, happiness, and babies neither expected. I highly recommend Bump to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Carmen and Dave love scenes are so sexy. They thought their marriage was over after going through some difficult times. They tried so hard to have a baby together but they ended up arguing all the time and Carmen decided to ask Dave to move out. Fast forward a wedding and soon after; hot sex with the “soon-to-be” ex. Their relationship then switched to “Ex with benefits” mode. As their pending divorce grows near; Carmen discovers she is pregnant. Trying to decide when to tell Dave becomes difficult because words and distractions get in the way. This novella was a beautiful story about love and a second chances. Loved it! 💕
Failing to get pregnant broke their marriage, with divorce papers already in the mail. But will their Exes-With-Benefits relationship lead to a new beginning or will it be more than they can handle? Can a unplanned pregnancy be a gift or a hardship? With awesome characters and a storyline that made me laugh as well as sigh this was a great read. Maggie Marr once again does not disappoint.
Wow I absolutely loved Bump and I lived the storyline as it flowed from the beginning until the end and you could connect with the characters pain and emotions. I was crying at the end. The others also stole my heart and sucked me into them.congeats on another Amazing book.
Bump was a great short romance that of course goes wrong before it goes right. Well written, Maggie Marr comes up with great ideas when put together with the series is an awesome storyline! I voluntarily received and read an ARC for an honest review.
Fantastic! Didn't want to put it down! A EWB that actually works out! Love Happy Endings! Maggie Marr is talented with just enough spice to heat things up! Classy!
I like the writing and the story. I read this on my phone through the kindle app. I did not like the how the other couples book were linked on the names. I would have been fine with it but it was literally every time other characters were mention. I tried reading another book from the author and ran in to the same issue. I will not be reading another book from this author
