More grammatical errors that are now beyond irritating. They are unacceptable. There are plenty of well written, interracial romance books with few errors. Too many loose ends that weren't tied up. Thin plot and subplots with too many holes. New characters introduced with little or no backstory. Book was too short to provide answers. Gratuitous violence.
Unbelievable subplots. Who is Irene Bolton and where did Joey meet her? Did the family really accept her? Did they trust her? Why was a hit placed on Nikki? Why didn't LaRoche mention that when he was in the safe house and said there was a hit on Teddy and Monk? How did Sal just show up? Had Teddy or Mick contacted him? If so, why wasn't more of his involvement stated in the story. No way does Sal's right hand man get away with so much without Sal not knowing? Why didn't Mr. All knowing Mick know what was going on? He knew that the other bosses wanted to get rid of Teddy! He knew Monk was Teddy's go to man. Why didn't he know who was taking his shipments and how it was tied to Monk's family? He didn't know! No way would be allow Nikki to be put in such danger, and certainly not Teddy.
Other loose ends. Why is Blair "Witch" still Mick's Executive Assistant? Was she not stirring up trouble when she allowed Gloria to go in Mick's with a lady in a supposedly compromising position? She did the same at the end with Nikki. Will Nikki be the one to fire her? I hope she beats her down before firing her. Will Nikki promote Gloria and bring out the best in her? Will Gloria accept Nikki's help? Will she allow her bitterness and envy weaken her? Will Mick and his kids get family counseling with Tony?
Why such a rushed ending that came out of the blue. What happened with Monk's brother and father? A two week vacation??? When will Teddy and Nikki get married or will they? Is Joey in for more heartache? Will Gloria resent Nikki being second in command to Mick at Sinatra Industries? Joey said that Nikki would end up being Gloria's boss. And on and on and on.
I just love, love, love Teddy and Nikki and Mick and his family, otherwise I would have rated this book lower for it certainly deserved it: errors and more errors, thin plot, undeveloped subplots, lots of loose ends and no answers which are carried over from book to book, unnecessary characters, etc.
This was a good read and yes I'm bias bc I love me some Sinatra and Gabrini action. From start to finish this book was action packed. I cannot wait to see how Nikki evolves and I love her relationship with Mick. I was happy to see Teddy find his center and show everyone what Nikki means to him. I just hope MM doesn't go off the rails with Nikki like she did with Tommy 's love interest and then she ended up putting him back with Grace. I still cannot read a TG book. I have digressed let me get back on topic. I loved how Mick put Teddy first without hesitation when faced with challenge from his syndicate. Joey and Gloria, I'm tired of them. Their jealousy has got to stop and now Joey has mama issues. Gloria has daddy issues. Wow. It is time for them to grow up. Crap or get off the toilet already!! Can they get any worse? Joey's relationship is a big issue for me. I'm not sure how MM is gonna work that out but it's a lot unhealthy and I'm not looking forward to that storyline. I know age ain't nothing but a number, but dang she is almost old enough to be his grandma. That is kinda sickening. Joey is telling family secrets to a woman he barely knows. Smdh. Joey and Gloria are ruining my favorite books. Please MM grow them up with sense and purpose or write them out. There is only so much messing up one can do before it becomes a bit much. Please dnt ruin these books for me like you did with the Tommy Gabrini books. I literally own almost every book in this extended series and I paid for them. I never hesitate to make a purchase. Anywho, this was a great read. I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for the next one.
Ms. Monroe, you have to fix this. Everything in this story is a hot mess. Please get a new editor and slow down on cranking out new books until they are ready. Nikki and Teddy are great characters, and I love them together. But the rehashed storylines without further character development is just too much for $5.99 a book. These characters deserve better and you are too talented a writer. #DoBetter Also, please stop referring to Nikki’s race and size every other chapter. She’s not fat, and even if she was... WHO CARES?! It’s insulting to the strong woman you created. Teddy doesn’t love her in spite of her body. He loves her because she’s a bad ass. It reeks of internalized fat phobia, and that not cute. Again, #DOBETTER
The first Teddy story had it all the second was good as well. This one seemed to star off very well then it lost its substance. Just running and winning no depth and rushed to the end. Hope to see Teddy and Nikki again, but this one didn't do it for me.
Nikki Tarver was thoroughly in love with Teddy T. Sinatra, the underboss to his father, Mick "The Tick" Sinatra's crime family. Teddy was thoroughly in love with Nikki. To top things off, his father was highly impressed with her as well. Even though they were engaged, they had not set a date due to problems coming up with the Sinatra Crime Family on the docks. They both felt that they were getting older now and was running out of time to settle down and have a family. Teddy was getting tired but when Nikki's life again was being threatened, he dropped his father's business to take care of his love. They both had a hold on each other, without a doubt.
Mallory did not fail to bring the drama, action, and mystery in this story. The plot twist at the end had me fooled. I was not thinking the perp was whom it turned out to be. I kept scratching my head trying to figure out this "who done it." I just knew it was the Rain Man. All of that to climb up the crime family ladder. Mikey sure was making a bunch of stupid decisions and I see why his father had to cover for him. He just did not realize what family he was dealing with.
I just love how the family stands behind each other and now Nikki was a part of this family through Teddy. I also love how both Teddy and Nikki have each other's back and support and protect each other, even if it means giving their life to save the other. They are the modern day Bonnie and Clyde. Even Mick gets in to protect Nikki, with his safety and protection suggestions which Nikki balked to at first but acquiesced to the need being in the Sinatra family now. She was forewarned by Roz. But V.P. in S.I. really? Teddy seems to be maturing in this story but wanting to get married???? Really??? I can't wait to see how this turns out.
3.5 ⭐️ I love Nikki Tarver. She has heart, but she can be tough, and she can be deadly if necessary. She will ALWAYS have Teddy’s back, and we see that she is Teddy’s #1 priority—no matter what. I really liked the fact that there was significant focus given to Nikki in this story. The woman has style, and we get a front row seat to witness Nikki’s true mettle. I want to be her when I grow up!!!
Maybe it’s me, but Mick seems to have been a little less strident than normal. The real shocker was Joey’s big announcement. Now that absolutely took me by surprise. Such great developments in this story!
Last, typically I give 5⭐️ ratings to Mallory Monroe’s books because I love the characters she has created. Because of this fact, I have been silent about the editing problems in her books. However, after much introspection, it seems that I have an apparent bias in this instance, when I have been very vocal about pointing out editing issues in my reviews of other authors’ books. Since I find this to be a bit disingenuous of me, I have decided to take off points for poor editing for this author’s books. Each book costs $5.99, one is published every month, and I have bought every book in each one of her series. You do the math—better yet, Ms. Monroe should do the math! These editing problems must be addressed—please, I implore you.
This segment of Teddy and Nikki, had my heart pounding!!! What a ride that was?! When you thought you had it all figured out...wham!!! There's another twist and turn. Nikki is a total badass by far. Out of all the Sinatra, and Gabrini women...She got it going on all by herself. She rocks!!!😁👍 Joey and Irene?! She's 53 and he's what?! 22/23?! Wow...I am speechless. Joey is looking for love, that he never got from Mick, his father. And he's looking for a mother. And I think he found both in her. Let the fun begins. Can't wait for the next book. The reason why I have 4 stars instead of 5 was because of all of the grammatical errors. They were so much. When Teddy had LaRoche in the safe house with his hands tied behind his back, and he slapped him. And LaRoche touched his face where he was slapped. How in hell could one touch ones face while your hand is tied behind your back?! Explain that!!! You need to get a better Editor. Way too many errors and misspelled words, in not one but all your books. Other than that annoying problem, I love all the series.
First let me say this Nikki is a gangster herself, this women was born to be by Teddy's side.I love the fact that not only did Teddy stand up to Mick but he let him know that while the job is important his woman is more important. This was just a really good story ,a wonderful addition to there series.I.love that we are getting a mature Joey but I want more for him, later down the line. Also I think its time for Gloria to come into her own ,she's put the time in and paid her dues.Gloria not only needs to become a boss in the business but she finally needs to get a love interest(wouldn't it be nice if it was Monk).I so look forward to the next episode in the Sinatra and Gabrini Family.
Mallory Monroe spends this tale with precision again. What can I say I love Teddy. Teddy is his own man and I love how he take care of Nikki! Life is good as long as they have each other. Wow another jaw dropping Sinatra/Gabrini saga! Keep them coming Mallory!
This was good. Teddy is maturing and Nikki is holding her own. I liked meeting Monk and hope that he is meant for Gloria. She needs a strong older guy and Monk is right for her. He is a man Mick would approve of and fit right in with Gloria and Teddy. Teddy is Gloria’s best friend and confidant. PlLEASE, finally let Gloria get a knight in shining armor. For a story line. Maybe while Teddy and Nikki are on vacation, Gloria gets in a fix and calls Teddy and he (Teddy) sends Monk to help her. Just an idea.
Oh and Joeys Lady friend!!! What the heck! Talk about a surprise.
This story was weak and had no substance. It could be summed up in 1 paragraph. I am disappointed because Ms. Monroe was one of the few writers out there who actually gave you characters with debt. In the beginning of the Teddy and his girl's story, a couple of books back, you really got a feel for them individually and as a couple. Not anymore. I was looking forward to getting to know them better, now I think I'm through with the series. So disappointed.
A Very Good and Exciting Interracial Romantic Thriller
Teddy Sinatra 3:: A Hold on Me is a very good and exciting interracial romantic thriller that earned a rating of four stars. Teddy Sinatra and Nikki Tarver are engaged. They have to fight for their love and their lives when Nikki is blackmailed. This episode of the Teddy Sinatra series is just as exciting and suspenseful the other installments. I enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys reading very good interracial romantic thrillers.
Another great read penned by Miss Munroe. I was on the edge of my seat chapter after chapter. I am glad Teddy is getting some relaxation time.the boy was over worked. I like Monk. Probably in the not so distant future there can be a series about him. Nicki deserve some happiness. Brave young lady and she is so street smart
Mallory Monroe knows how to weave and spin a story. The action, the thrills and the love all combine to create the perfect mix of romantic suspense. This one was a little shorter and ended more abrupt than I’m used to but it was still worth the read and I always enjoy catching up with Teddy and Nicki and getting a glimpse of the other Sinatras is nice.
Love Teddy and Nickki's relationship, she is an extremely strong woman able to hold her own in some of the most crazy, extreme, high stakes situations, which is why Mick respects her so much. Teddy's complex relationship with his father also plays a big parr. The Joey situation is funny can't wait to see how that plays out.
This book keeps you guessing even after you thought it has been worked out. Nikki Traver will always step up for her man Teddy by showing her alert and quick thinking when needed. Teddy's younger brother Joey suprising his family the way he did was not expecting that.
She did it again! Damn, there was so freaking much to unpack. All I can say is Joey, did not see that coming. Hopefully, his crazy will settle down and grows up. This development with Nicky, is going to send Gloria I to a tailspin no matter how much she smiles. I can't wait long for the next book. I feel like the little girl in Disposable Me. UNICORNS!!!!!
Action and a plot that was not obvious. Someone was trying to bring Teddy down. But his best friend Monk and his woman Nikki had his back. The only thing I did not like was the cover. People keep harping on her being a plus size woman but that was not reflected in the cover and it should have been. It really bugged me.
I have always liked Nikki and Teddy, they’re great together. Nikki always supports her man. Hope the next book have them married. Now with Joey and his love, he seems to be growing up. I hope he continues. Anyone who buys this book will have an enjoyable read.
Okay read... This was okay to follow but at some point the "kids" are going to have to stand on there own. Hopefully we'll get a new character out of Monk and see just what's going on with him in his world.
Another great read, my only issue now is,I hope that was not the last of the Sinatras? It is such a great saga and I have truly been thoroughly entertained with the series. Well written I recommend.
Lady you keep bringing the juice. I'm like a lady on crack waiting for your next book. Haven't been disappointed yet keep of the good work I'm your forever loyal reader.
Every time I think I have a favorite couple a new book comes out and change my mind and this story definitely pulled me in romance loyalty and love great!!!
I can't day anymore than brilliant. Recommend this story to read. Teddy and Nikki are a power couple of Mafia world. Fantastic. Next installment, can't wait.
