I’m Bethany’s boss. I should have known better… But she’s the sharpest, hottest woman I’ve ever known.
My jealous ex-wife is threatening to take my kid away. I’ll do anything to keep my daughter. Even pretend to be engaged.
I accidentally blurt out that Bethany is my fiancee. Not my smartest move I’ll admit. But she’s agreed to go along with it. Can a fake engagement lead to real love?
The clock is ticking… Soon we’ll be forced to choose - marry or part forever.
Fake Fiancé Agreement is a stand alone romance with no cheating and a guaranteed happy ending.
I really like the four-way conversations between the main male character and his internal verbiage; and, the main female character and her internal verbiage. It was delightful "looking in" on their conversations and thoughts while engaging each other in conversations. This was truly a magnificent romantic comedy. There was just the right balance of comedy to romance, with the comedic parts of the story to flow smoothly with the romantic story line. I found their banter to be absolutely hilarious in parts. One statement the main male character used "recreational aquatic vehicle" was charming within the context of this story. Good Stuff!
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel from the author and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
This is an extremely wonderful read however once the plot hits be ending come so fast and leaves me breathless at how much detail is left out just to finish the book. This is the reason for the 4 stars. I would love to read more by this author however I'm too scared knowing that I will be upset at the lack of ending in pain to my heart.
What a delightful quick and absolutely adorable read! Yes there is a strapping male and an intelligent female navigating through the ups and downs of adult relationships but the stand out character by far is Skylar who in her own words is eight not stupid! If you want a super lite read to put you in a good mood, highly recommend.
I loved it ! I loved the humor between Brett & Bethany & also, Skyler, we can’t leave her out! Her humor was the precious humor of a child! I’m sure if you read this you’ll love it! The characters were all wonderful even Janice & Greg!im sure you will read it & love it!
Brett character seemed a bit unrealistic. For a self-made owner/ CEO of a multi-billion dollar company, his reactions or rather lack of actions towards his crazy ex-wife was unbelievable and emasculating. Overall, it was a cute story.
Loved this book it reads so very, it's conversational and allows you to read into the mindsets of the characters. This is a great read the storyline is interesting and keeps you turning the pages. This is a happy story little saucy but certainly not ott
A funny rom-com ebook about an executive assistant who falls in love with her boss. There is also a cute 8 year old girl involved and an ex from hell. Fun story. Some sexual scenes.
This book was cute. Not your typical Fake Fiancé scenario. I love the relationship between Bethany and Skylar. It ended with a happy ending after a fateful scare.
An employee falls for her boss and ends up in a fake engagement this book has hard ache, and laughs and of course the happy ending. I did enjoy reading
3.5 stars This was a little bit different to the usual fake fiance story. Bethany is Brett's assistant and there is a mutual attraction. I loved all the flirting between the two. Once Brett blurts out that their getting married, it speeds up the relationship. Both Bethany and Brett are really liable characters, I loved the banter between the two of them, I would have liked to have seen even more. The ending was very rushed for me, it was all over far too soon. Although I did like the epilogue.
A nice sweet romance that was very predictable despite the attempts at suspense. The editing isn't the cleanest, but there are no huge hiccups that spoil the flow of words. The passion is almost there, but not quite. There are moments when the dialogue clicks, and there are times when it just feels forced. The reader is never brought into the loop with the heroes ex either regarding her anger issues. Over all though, I enjoyed reading it and hence the 4 star rating.
The blurb on the book sounded good but I was disappointed once I read it. The book had potential to be a good story but it felt too rushed. At times the chemistry was there between Brett and Bethany and then other times it felt fake. The ending was disappointing because it didn't really tell me anything about the future. Did they ever have kids themselves? Just could have been a better book.
