Hitched: The Final Five

Rate this book
Five bachelors left. Four mystical families to meet and territories to explore. Four chances to avoid a supernatural war.

Kimmie-Jayne thought discovering the bachelors were supernatural was tough, until she finds out she has to spend the week with their families.

Now she’s whisked off to meet four of the most powerful families of Azar. If she can survive dragon lords, daunting angels, the intrigue of Fae court, and the Underworld, she’ll end up with the man of her dreams. Or so she hopes.

But nothing is as it seems in each of these households, and perils loom in every corner of the vast estates. As more secrets and betrayals surge to the surface, Kimmie-Jayne can’t deny that following her heart might get her killed.

Will the men she loves be able to protect her or will the supernatural world prove too much for her as she struggles to choose the final two?

***This is an upper YA/NA crossover with lots of schmexy bachelors and is best suited for age 17 and over. The steaminess factor does increase through the course of the series!

G.K. De Rosa has been an avid reader from a very young age. In fact, before she could even read, she tried fooling everyone into thinking that she could. At the precocious age of two, while living in Italy, she had memorized an entire children’s book in Italian and expertly turned the pages at the exact right moments of the story. As she grew up, she always enjoyed literature, no doubt having been instilled with a love of story telling from her early years in Catholic school where she was greatly influenced by exemplary teachers who taught her the value of English and Literature. Though she did not pursue writing in college and instead went for the more traditional route of International Business inspired by her love for travel and all things foreign, after a move to New York City, she found her creative writing side calling once again. She began writing a restaurant review blog, City Lights and Tasty Bites, detailing her other passion – food! The hectic hustle and bustle of the city, combined with long commuting times gave her the opportunity to spend more time reading and rekindled a lost love. After reading countless books in many diverse genres over the two years in New York City, and returning to her home state of Florida, she felt compelled to write something for herself. She had always felt particularly drawn to Young Adult novels and having been an eternal romantic at heart, a fantasy romance was a natural choice. She currently lives in South Florida with her real life Prince Charming and their fur baby, Nico the German Shepherd.

His fiery kisses sear a path down my skin, marking me as his.

Hitched: The Final Five is my favorite so far! We got to visit the bachelors homes and I was ecstatic to see where they came from and learn even more about the guys I had fallen for. I felt like I got to understand Azar a lot more and that I got to know each of the bachelors inside and out! And while I still have my favorites in this group, I feel like there's only one that felt right for Kimmie. I'm holding out hope he will be the winner of her heart. And that the others get their own books *fingers crossed*.
His intense eyes pierce into me, reducing my insides to a quivering mess. “I don’t know what it is about you, but you’re all I can think about. I see you in my dreams, in my every waking moment. You’ve left your mark on my soul, and nothing will ever change that.” - said by my favorite to Kimmie

This was another fast paced story with lots of action. This time around we get a ton of answers to our questions. Or clues, like when Lucifer said something I shouted out loud, I knew it! Ha! I absolutely adore this series. Hitched: The Final Five was so effortless to devour and I loved being lost in this world!

From 25 to five, Kimmie-Jayne has chosen the final group of bachelors as the star of the reality show Hitched. She’s now left with two twin dragon shifter brothers, a guardian angel, a demon, and a Fae Prince of the Winter Court.

However, Kimmie is no closer to narrowing down her heart or finding out who is trying to sabotage the show and hurt her. Now, she’s faced with spending several days with each of the remaining bachelor’s families in this strange land.

But even at the protected family locations, attempts are made on Kimmie’s life. It appears the show Hitched was going to be the event that unveiled the supernatural world to humans, and some factions are not happy with the idea.

Now Kimmie’s got to narrow the field and send three boys packing. Who will they be?
Wowza, this book was all action! I loved how we were able to see the guys in their homes as well as see the feelings they’ve developed for Kimmie. This book really picks up in all ways, including the slow burn. Can’t wait to see who the final two and one are!

This is just me having commitment issues

I don't know why, but this book just didn't do it for me. I was bored all the way through. I think we're all at the point where we've got our favourite guy, and we just wanna read about him. Personally I couldn't care less about each of the guy's families and realms, to be honest. I am rooting for Cillian, and even I was bored visiting his home. It's just information overload, and reading about five different realms with Kimmie trying to imagine herself in each one and not making her mind up about one is just frustrating, and boring.

Ryder's back, didn't even remember him to be honest. Lucifer is tossed into this book as well. Feels a bit like a chaotic salad. I will be reading the last one, to see who she ends up with, but remember that saying that's something like 'The anticipation is better than the end?' Or something like that? Yeah, not the case here.

I'm just here for the conversations Kimmie has with her stylists, to be fair.

My favorite book in the series so far! 5 stars for all the extra action, world building and romance. It was interesting to see Kimmie-Jayne explore her feelings despite not wanting to. I also enjoyed seeing the bachelors' vulnerabilities. I have no idea how she's going to choose! I'm extremely curious for the next book and have a feeling its going to be the most intense! As of right now I have fallen for 2 of the bachelors and one has me extremely interested.

Wowza. The 3rd book in the series is by far the best. Getting to meet the family members of all of the bachelors really helped developed each of their personalities even more. With so few guys and each getting their own time with Kimmie, you really got a sense of who they were and how her relationship worked with each guy. Each family visit went about how I expected. Nothing shocking but lots of interesting tidbits, some action, and some steamy scenes. The imagery was amazing and everyone lived in drastically different settings. The introduction of Lucifer himself was fascinating and informative. Lots of loose ends left dangling at the end of this book and a ginormous cliffhanger or two. I have a feeling as to who the Final Two will be (I could totally be wrong) but I have no clue how she's going to pick The One! I can't wait to read the last book and find out finally who will win Kimmie's heart.

One thing GK Derosa has always been able to do in her books is keep my interest. This series has done so more than any of her other ones (and that's saying something!), and I found myself reading Book Three wanting nothing more than to get to the end to see what happens!!

Kimmie Jayne has narrowed the field of fantastical bachelors to Five, but her troubles have only just begun. Each hawt guy has their own backstory, their own family drama, and they all give Kimmie Jayne reasons to want to be her chosen one... or not. Does she end up with one of the dragon twins? The gorgeous angel? The fae prince? Or will she do the most unexpected and choose the son of Lucifer himself?

Book Four can't come fast enough for me!

what to say about this book - WOW. I knew that it would be exciting for her to meet the families of the remaining 5 but I didn't expect this much excitement and questions!!! I don't know how Kimmie-Jayne is going to choose one of these guys :-)
I cant wait for the final book so that i can found out who she picks and if it is my favorite (which changed from the last book). This book was so good - once i started reading i couldn't stop - i just had to found out what was going to happen. Definitely recommended this series!!

Sigh. This book. Amazing.

This series just keeps getting better and better. I love me some dragon shifting twins, but I can't decide who I want her to choose! They're all so... sigh.

In this one, the stakes are higher than ever as Kimmie-Jayne travels to meet the families of the final five bachelors. Each has secrets, but the political turmoil threatens to pull her under. From the multiple abductions to injuries and meeting the devil himself, Kimmie-Jayne faces tougher challenges than she ever has.

But the hardest thing of all will be choosing which bachelor to give her heart to.

I can't wait for the final book!!!

OBSESSED. How is it that each time I get to the end of these books I am so upset because I didn’t realize I was so close to the end?! I love getting to know the families of the top 5! Again all the twists and turns are just so good and unexpected, I don’t know how Kimmie-Jayne will ever choose between these guys!

In the third book, we are down to the final five men. Who will she choose to more on? Things are not what they seem! This book (or any other in the series) didn't move me or change my life as a good five star would. It wasn't an amazing read, as a good four star would be. It was just book candy. Something fun to read that didn't make me think or really have to focus to know what was happening. Read this if you like: Reality TV, Magic, Human in a Magical World

The suspense is killing me!

Ugh, the suspense is killing me lol I do however know who Kimmie ends up with thanks to the new series which is where I discovered this author. It's still highly entertaining and has been an adventure but I really wish I had read this one first. I was warned about it prior to starting, I just wish I had taken it to heart. It's been an exciting and dramatic adventure for Kimmie Jayne though and I can't wait to see how it all comes together in the end.

OH. MY. GOSH.

When my heart recovers from this wicked lovely book I will come back and write a real review.

Sufficed to say that it was better than the first two and the next release is entirely too far away.

___________________________________________________
Kimmie Jayne is such an easy character to like and relate to... even if picking between 5 amazing supernatural beings is not relatable.

This book takes you deeper into their world and into the men's lives. You get to see each one of them with more one on one time and it is worth every page turn. The complexity of the storyline increases and you learn more about plot twists that had your mind reeling from the first book in the series.

G.K. DeRosa does not disappoint in her writing or her world building and it shows in the attachment you get to the characters. I completely understand why Kimmie Jayne has such a hard time deciding. I am equally stuck.

If you are a paranormal romance lover, this series is a must read! It is tremendously good.

Was a little less silly than the first two. Still a bit miffed with the way the story is told - it seems somewhat infantile. I am pretty sad a few of my favorites did not make it to the finish line - and i have a gut feeling that my current favorite guy will not last too in the race. (My hunch proved true and I am pretty bummed out about it. Love the cool as ice guys...)
Anyway on to the last book ~~~

Okay first off I'm not into the lip lock and hip rock with everyone. Though it's a bachelorette type story it kind of goes with the territory. I do appreciate the clean value in the book even with all the hotness. Really the only thing keeping me reading it the mystery of who really is in control and which hotty will get picked. I personally like two myself. I guess I am a little into the story.

Hitched: The Final Five is book 3 in the series and again follows on directly from the previous book. In this book, we delve a little more into the world of Azar and get to know the different realms as Kimmie-Jayne travels to meet the families of the final five contestants as part of the show. Some of the families give her a very warm welcome, while others don't seem so keen on the potential future daughter-in-law or the consequences of the show. It is now clear why the show is being filmed and why Kimmie-Jayne is being sent to the families in the respective territories. There is political propaganda behind the show, namely whether the supernatural world should reveal itself to the human world. Nothing has been decided yet and the producers and whoever their patron is, are hoping for a positive vote, but it is not yet clear what such a decision would actually mean for the two worlds and what danger it might harbour for the humans. On her journey, Kimmie not only gets to know the families better, but also sees what a potential life with the respective bachelor could look like. For most of them, this would mean a life in Azar, but with some she could also continue her normal life in her world. She sees what a life together would mean for her, but also for the men, and realises first-hand that not everyone is so enthusiastic about the show and what it means for Azar.

I thought it was great that we get off the island Mystic Cove and get to know other parts of Azar, even if you only get a small insight, it's still somehow realistic, because she's only with the families for a few days at a time and there's so much going on that she doesn't really have time to see much of the Azar itself, but rather concentrates on getting to know the families and spending time with the bachelors. You get clearer insights into the world, also on a political level, but you also learn more about the various species that live in it. In addition, some mysteries are finally solved: who was responsible for Aren Carter's death and for all the accidents that happened during the show?

It's an easy read, I find the author's writing style very pleasant and light and you can read her books really well and quickly, they are well written. I can definitely recommend the series, it's not a reverse harem, even if the show format of The Bachelorette makes it seem a bit like that. Again, book 3 gets 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5) from me and I'm now looking forward to the last book of the series.

The final five.

Once again G.K.DeRosa, keeps us on our toes as Kimmie-Jayne starts her bachelors home visits. From an Alpha’s Dragon’s Lair, to as close to heaven as you can get, then onto the snow & ice of the Fae Prince. Finishing not quite in hell but close enough. These last 5 guys had at one point been her personal guard, alongside the sexy vampire that is a constant by her side, Kimmie couldn’t be safer right ? Read to find out what danger befalls each family, as there security fails, with an ultimate final visit that will change Kimmie-Jayne’s reasons for continuing to film “Hitched” More secrets and lies are uncovered, the persons behind the near death experiences for Kimmie and the murderer of Aren are uncovered. Kimmie after spending alone time with her bachelors, is now more confused than ever, her heart has been battered and on the verge of being shattered. G.K.DeRosa certainly knows how to write sexy men, as I can admit i was drooling right along with Kimmie, I have my favourite, Kimmie has no clue. After the latest revelations she was left with another blow 5 must become 3, how will she ever pick, what if she can’t and what if she won’t even make it to the end of filming a show that is wrapped in subterfuge & political intrigue. This author will keep you guessing until the very end with the whiplash decisions being made. The world she transports you is a world of her very own and one you are happy to bask in, then sad when you have to go home. Excited to read book.4. To see how this storyline all comes more conclusions or more more mystery’s unfolds.

3.5-4 stars. Things are really getting down to the nitty gritty here in book 3. As Kymmie gets to visit with her final 5 and their families she gets a real feel for what a life would be like with each of them as well as discovering what some of them would have to give up in order to be with her. The author is finally working our final 2 together, slowly but surely. The reader really gets to feel Kymmie's grief as she has to make some really hard decisions. Its times like these you just start wishing this was RH. The heart ache is real here. Not to mention, now that the political machinations of both the show as well as all the players are finally coming to light its a wonder Kymmie doesn't take off running for the hills.

Even knowing the ending from the spinoff series doesn't help with all the feels here. I'm almost to scared to write the review for feel with giving anything away. I once thought it might be fun to be on the Bachelorette Tv series but that shoot is for the birds ya'll. After reading this series I just can't see how for the future you wouldn't always 2nd guess your decision. Allowing yourself to develop such an intense relationship with so many people.. its just a recipe for disaster. There are several things that were revealed in the spinoff that haven't even come to light so I'm really excited to see how the author pulls those aspects in all in the last book. We get some hints here in book 3 but it seems kind of last minute. I guess we will see.

I sped through this series!! I loved that we got to meet each of the final five's families in this book and learned so much more about how the guys felt about Kimmie-Jayne. The bachelors were even able to work together for her safety, putting that above their strong feelings to be the only one to protect her and be with her, which was super sweet and one of my favorite parts of the book! I can't say who it is, but I loved that one of the guys in particular got to stick around as her guard, since I loved him so much and was super sad he wasn't chosen for the final five! As I said in my review of The One, I am so impressed the author was able to construct such strong relationships between Kimmie and each of the final five, and it was totally believable that she had feelings for all of them. I experienced her heartache and confusion right along with her, despite guessing who might be the final two. This was such a wild ride that I immediately had to pick up The One! And there isn't just bachelor drama, but the intrigue of trying to figure out who was behind the "accidents" on set as well! There is a lot going on, but it never felt like too much to handle as a reader, and Kimmie's strong personality shone through!

Rebel Reviews:

In this book Kimmie-Jayne meets the families of the final five bachelors and tries to stay alive while doing so. Someone is still trying to stop Hitched from airing and the danger racks up for Kimmie-Jayne. Kimmie-Jayne heart is fractured and soon she will have to pick her top 2. Who will she pick when all the guys hold a piece of her heart?

I loved meeting all the final five bachelors families. I loved seeing how Kimmie-Jayne fit in with them and how they either were happy to welcome her to the family or not at all for her joining it. My favorite visit was to the Fenix and Flare(the twin dragon shifters) family. I loved meeting their mother and sisters. Shocking has heck was my second favorite visit which was to the Underworld with Ryder who has really grown on me. You learn so much more about the bachelors and what their everyday lives are like. It was so exciting getting to see more of this world. Just like the last two books G.K. DeRosa delivered twists that I didn't see coming and made me fall more in love with these characters. G.K. DeRosa's writing of Kimmie-Jayne is great. You really feel her emotions about these guys and how hard it is for her to date them all at once. I have picked the two bachelors I think are best for Kimmie-Jayne and who I think she has the strongest connection with. I really can't wait to see who she picks and I am so sad that I have only one more book in this series.

Kimmie-Jayne is down to the final five: Fenix, Flare, Cillian, Ryder, and Elrian. Now, it's time to meet their families. First up is Fenix and Flare's. I absolutely adore their sisters and parents. The bonds between them are strong and everyone cares for each other. However, not many approve of the mixing of humans and supernatural. Those who strongly oppose want to stop Kimmie-Jayne before she can continue.

After their family, it's Cillian's brother and sister angels, then Elrian's cold family, and Ryder's parents. Kimmie-Jayne tries to see who she can see herself living with for the rest of her life, but it's still hard to choose. Each guy has grown on her and each care about her. They all want to find out who is behind the attempts to take her life and will do nothing to stop at finding the answers.

I have my two that I think Kimmie-Jayne could be with, but I can't wait to see who she picks. On to the final book! If you can't tell, I haven't been able to stop myself from reading these.

Just when I think I’m safe!! The newest instalment brings even more heat and feels to the table!!

Kimmie-Jayne has chosen her top 5 and now gets to meet the families that go with them! Of course it wouldn’t be Hitched if there wasn’t any drama and there is plenty happening!! The guys are ever vigilant watching over her this time around and we even get to see an old favourite come back in a new role.

I’m still a staunch supporter of Fenix but all the guys are showing that they are serious and more than just pretty faces! The details that have gone into this book have definitely boosted this series as a whole in my opinion. We go from the land of dragons to the winter court to heaven and then the netherworld. So many different places and the descriptions in the book make the worlds clear in your eyes.

It’s so easy to imagine the characters and worlds in this series and that’s what makes me love it!! That’s right I said it! This is such an easy series to fall for-it has all the right components in perfect measure. I definitely will recommend this to friends and I will be re-reading them time and time again!

The third book in G.K. DeRosa’s Hitched series picks up with Kimmie setting out to meet the families of her final five choices. I loved seeing where each bachelor comes from and how their relationship with Kimmie could affect the dynamic of their societies, considering each bachelor is from an influential family. As for the guys, I think I’m just as torn over whom to pick as Kimmie is. The more I get to know them the more I like each one. I had a top pick in mind with Fenix going into this book, but then Flare is so carefree and loveable, Cillian is so sweet, Ryder is way more than meets the eye, and Elrian is not as cold and cruel as he appears to be. Now let’s talk about the last few chapters of the book for a second. I did not see the twist and reveal to certain questions coming. I had my guesses, but, wow. I can’t wait to find out more in the next book. Well done, Ms. DeRosa, well done.
