Ten vignettes spread out over the course of fifteen years in the life of a Francophone family, the ethnic group that came over the border from Northeast Canada/ Quebec way. It examines family dynamics, the role of the Catholic Church in their community, coming of age. Think a Québecois version of The Waltons...though this book precedes the show by over a decade.
