I treated myself to this cook book after I was given money at Christmas. I have already made: - Spanish Tortilla - Feta and Black bean tacos with homemade guac - Quinoa Salad - Peri peri halloumi burger - 15-minute Laksa - 30-minute red Thai curry - Squash, Spinach and Red Pepper pie - And one of their soups.
The food is so tasty and fresh. Involves quite a lot of prep, but in my opinion it's absolutely worth it!! There are so many more recipes that I look forward to trying and such a good variety of cuisine. Reasonably priced and well worth it.
* Hassleback potatoes with peri peri dressing and feta, * Tomato and roasted pepper summer salad, * 15 minute laksa * Shahi Spinach Paneer * Squash, spinach and red pepper pie * Fennel and tomato bake with Gouda and breadcrumb topping * Loaded BBQ sweet potatoes with tahini dressing * Big boy bhaji burgers * spinach and artichoke quesadillas *Roasted peppers mac n cheese with paprika and manchego
Interesting, some good ideas, beautiful photos. I dont give it 5 stars because the spanish recipes are off. I mean TEN eggs for an omelette??? And spring onions in a gazpacho? We dont often use spring onions, brown onions for gazpacho. Also, it says "manchego cheese isnt vegetarian and is expensive". Then I see it in the Tortilla recipe, I dont understand. Besides, we dont put manchego, or any type of cheese for that matter, in spanish tortilla. The rest of the book seems interesting.
This is such a great cook book. We have a lot of vegetarian and vegan friends and it is so nice to be able to cook great meals for them when they come round. We also love to cook with music so the idea of the Spotify playlists that compliment the food is perfect for us.
Some favourites from the book include the Peri Peri Halloumi Buger and the Veggie Satay Noodles.
This is ok. I will probably make 4 or 5 of these recipes. They are a bit repetitive on the ingredients for my liking. I can’t eat peppers so that excludes about 20-25% of recipes. That said, for a kindle 99p offer I have a few new recipes to try.
This is Jamie Oliver for students – and anyone else wanting to eat delicious food for very little money! Absolutely no surprise that Ben Lebus's wonderful tome has become a best seller
