I loved Sawyer and Gunner in the Rounding Third anthology! Seeing them grown up, years later in their relationship was exactly what I needed! They’re in love, mature, rational human beings in love and it was refreshing. No stupid misunderstandings. She trusts him. He trusts her. It was just a lovely completion to their story! Love how it was expanded from the original novella.

BUT!! What sets Clutch Endgame apart is that you get what comes after the Happily Ever After “I love you” Fade to black moment.

Jumping 4 years in the future you get what comes next for Sawyer and Gunnar. Reading about a solid couple, no rush down the isle, working together and in-love with each other was refreshing for the romance genre. Delving into the relationship instead of focusing on the built to a relationship is the part o loved most! I’ve read a lot of romance in the life and Clutch Endgame stands out amongst the masses. Loved it!!

This is my first book by Tarrah Anders, and I absolutely loved every word. I love to read sports romance novels, and I admit I am fangirling hard over baseball books at the moment.
What I really loved about Gunnar and Sawyer's story is that their book was mainly about them coping with the highs and lows of one person in the relationship with a high profile career.
These two seem to take everything in their stride, and it was great to read a heroine that didn't overthink every little detail. Sawyer ended up by being my favourite character because of this.
I was hoping that this would be the start of a series, but how this story played out I'm not to sure this will be the case.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Loved this book, a story about Gunnar a catcher for the hornets and Sawyer a marketing executive who meet by accident. This is a true love story dealing with the trials and tribulations of everyday life and sometimes long distance relationship. However these two make it work she turns him from a playboy to a family man.
I love how quick these two fell like love at 1st sight and they just made everything work and seem so easy. Definitely would recommend this book.

This is a beautifully penned masterpiece. Gunner and Sawyer’s story is about having a long term relationship, and the struggles they deal with being in the tabloid limelight continually. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more form this exceptionally talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.

Baseball… BASEBALL PEOPLE!!!

I love baseball! It may be America's game, and I may not be an American, but I am a baseball loving girl! Opening day is a ritual in my home, whether my Blue Jays are playing or not. My kid puts up with my obsession with the game, as well as my obsession with hockey, but that's neither here nor there.

Let's get to the real story here - the steam that came off the pages for Gunnar and Sawyer!

So, part of this story may be familiar to you if you were fortunate enough to read Rounding Third: A Baseball Anthology. If you weren't fortunate enough to grab a copy, sadly, it's now out of print but that doesn't mean all the stories have vanished. Maren Lee, Jess Bryant, and Lynsey M. Stewart have made their works for the anthology available to you and now Tarrah Anders has given us Clutch Endgame, A BASEBALL ROMANCE featuring the original story and a glimpse four years down the road at Gunnar and Sawyer's relationship.

This story is the best of both worlds - it’s the short, but very messy and very steamy - contribution to the anthology followed by a revisit to their lives four years later where they should be riding off into the sunset of fluffy happiness. Oh, there is fluffy happiness but fluff doesn't hook you. There has to be some kind of conflict, and it was headed at them from so many directions!

Gunnar Reynolds is the catcher for the San Diego Hornets at the beginning of the story. What brings he and Sawyer together is an Ultimate Fan contest promotion. Most people picture the winner to be a kid, but considering that Gunnar loves the cleat chasers and the rookie playboy life scene, he was ordered to tone down his antics for his Ultimate Fan's visit the next day. He could not have been less prepared for Sawyer Rotham if he tried!

Sawyer and Gunnar have an instant connection and by the end of his day with his Ultimate Fan, the steam coming off the pages is palpable. This is something that doesn't change in their relationship over time. In fact, they seem to get sweeter and steamier as the years pass by.

This is one thing I love about Tarrah Anders - steamy, romping, sexcapades! She builds beautiful chemistry between her leads and that leads them into some hotttt moments. If you don't believe me go read Your Neighborhood Bartender and find out!

In the shower…

In the kitchen…

In the bedroom….

Phew, this book was HOTTTTT! Even with the passage of time and the potential stress of being traded in the future for their relationship, it was still a romp to remember!

The only thing I could have stood for something a little more in this one? The resolution of the conflict during the whole trade/moving debacle in the future. The resolution to the conflict didn't really do enough for me. I felt like there should have been a definite singular person/entity to put the blame on rather than the paparazzi as a whole. The first media scandal they had during part one was cleaned up really well and I guess I was just hoping for something a little more in that department from the second seeming scandal. Being the external conflict, its resolution wasn't as important as the internal ones that pressed on their relationship and those had a satisfactory resolution so that works for me!

Favourite Lines -

"Are you calling my cock my brain?"

"Isn't that usually what men think with?" she retorts.

"Not all the time," I defend. "It's cock, stomach and then brain."

"I'm going to make myself a sandwich, you want one?" She calls over her shoulder. Ladies and gentlemen, I've just found the woman of my dreams.

"Furniture is a funny word. I love that too. Do you think that the word road is pronounced weird…? It should be ro-ad. I love words, they're nice."

"It snows in Boston. It's hot as sweaty balls in Arizona and it rains in Seattle."

Normally, he's eating healthy and on balanced diet, but when he's hungover, he will gorge out on all the good stuff.

"You sound like a Hallmark card, are you still drunk?"

"And hot as balls, don't forget the hot as balls part."

"Like a sweaty arm pit."

"Molten lava."

"Like a sauna."

"You guys are baseball players; you have to run those bases as if you’re chasing a fast moving cupcake."

"Yes, dear." He says placating me.

"Ah, look you're learning. You're definitely going to be a good husband if you can remember those two words."

Make sure you one click this one! It's sexy with laughs and some incredibly sweet moments tied in. You won't regret it and you'll love the ending!

I loved seeing how Sawyer and Gunner dealt with the struggles of a long-term relationship that involves travel, separation, and cleat chasers. This story was funny, sweet, and kept me wanting more. I only wish that we’d seen more of a comeuppance for the sh*t-stirrer in Phoenix, but the way in which it was handled was masterful. This way, we didn’t have any unnecessary drama or angst for anyone and the rumors were clearly seen for the bs they were.

And that epilogue! I had to laugh, because everyone woman knows that fear. To steal from Gunner, I loved this story like a baseball player runs the bases chasing after a f*cking cupcake.

I loved this story. Gunnar is a catcher for the Hornets baseball team and Sawyer is a marketing executive who won an Ultimate Fan drawing. Little did they know that the Ultimate Fan contest would change their lives forever. Gunnar has to learn, that while what the press says about his doesn’t matter to him it affects other people. Sawyer struggles to maintain her own identity while dating a very public star baseball player.
While they live their lives things change. Gunnar is going to be traded, but Sawyer doesn’t want leave San Diego. While they be able to find a compromise and stay together?

I can’t wait for the next story by Tarrah Anders

I have a mixed review of this book, I loved part 2 and it was perfect watching Sawyer and Gunner deal with long-term relationship problems. They were handled perfectly and I easily rooted for them to get through all the problems life threw at them. My problem with the book came with part 1, I felt like the start of their relationship was really rushed. I think she should have spent more time building up their relationship. The issues with part 1 made me want to skip it but I stayed with the book and I'm glad I did because I did love the later parts of their relationship! Overall, pretty good book!

I recieved an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review

This book takes us on a journey with Gunner and Sawyer. They met at the Ultimate fan experience. They hit it off right away. This book was amazing. It shows the ups and downs of being thrown in the tabloids. Gunner ignores it while Sawyer has a harder time dealing with it.
We get to watch their love blossom even with all that is tossed at them.
The story is packed with emotions. Some amazing one liners.. my favorite was sweaty balls and a$$hole drivers when talking about AZ.
Go grab this book and enjoy their story.
It's a homerun in my book

I love the expansion of this short story. Gunnar & Sawyer have instant chemistry. Aside from a wee bit of initial drama, their story is sweet...and steamy. Gunnar isn't just a dumb jock and Sawyer is strong and independent. They are both fairly level headed. Not a lot of superfluous drama with these two. Like actual adults are in a relationship, even if one is a reformed Cassanova. A very enjoyable read. I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This was my first book by Tarrah and she now has a fan for life.

Gunnar and Sawyer are so relatable. She won a fan experience and was paired with Gunnar. The two immediately have chemistry that's off the chart. As they navigate the trails and tribulations of learning how to deal with their careers and having a new relationship, curves are thrown their way. Gunnar is persistent in his pursuit of Sawyer and doesn't give up on her or their relationship.

This book was so enjoyable. Sawyer and Gunner's story provides readers with what I thought with a romance with very realistic feel to it. Both these characters were extremely likable and I felt that the chemistry between them was smoky and easy to feel. Sweet and fun but cleverly balanced with some rough patches and poignant emotions. This is my independent, impartial review.

This book was a great mix of baseball and romance. You find yourself invested in the team stats as well as the relationship between Gunner and Sawyer. It was great to watch their chemistry grow. I found myself not wanting their story to end. I was left wanting more of their future story. Who knows maybe my book wish will come true!

Gunnar is a pro baseball player, emphasis on the player. Sawyer won an ultimate fan experience and got to spend a day with him. They have an instant connection and this book goes through their next 5 years together. There are sweet moments, funny moments, tense moments and sexy moments.

Enjoyable!

The set up of the book was different with a part one and two. I have a feeling that part one may have been a short story and part two was like an extended epilogue.

That being said ... totally enjoyed reading this book. Characters were “real” to me. Loved their meeting and insta-love/lust. The chemistry was palpable and there was enough “trouble” to make you worry at first. What I really enjoyed was part two, the journey towards their forever after. We don’t have to guess .. did they stay together ... we know. The way they worked through all their issues together as a team .. couple goals! Their relationship to each other (loved their couple dialogue) and with their friends, employers ... adult goals! And the baseball scenes - it’s a behind the curtain view of the players and baseball lives we as fans don’t see. Thanks for a good read!

This was my first baseball book I've ever read, which is crazy since we are a sports obsessed family. Needless to say I am hooked. This book was so good, I couldn't stop reading. When I should've been cleaning my house or cooking I was reading instead. Tarrah Anders made the characters feel like they could be your friends or relatives. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't say much about the book but if you like sports, actually even if you don't you will love this book. You think one thing will happen then you are taken in a different direction. I can't wait to read my next Tarrah Anders book.

This was a quick and fun read. I thoroughly enjoyed the two main characters. The storyline was a bit rushed and the beginning was a whirlwind but part two of this book made up for all of that!
Their entire first encounter just seemed causal and like a one night stand. There wasn’t much description on what really drew them into each other besides he thought she was hot. Which disappointed me a little.
But you could definitely feel the chemistry and the love in the second half of the book. So I ended the book satisfied!
