"A chilling international thriller, IMMINENT THREAT offers a rare and fascinating glimpse into the terrorist mindset."
Daniel Dick is the author of the international spy thriller, IMMINENT THREAT, which has been hailed as a pulse-pounding tale of suspense with a plot that is all-too-plausible and all-too-real; a novel that offers readers not only a gripping read, but a rare and fascinating glimpse into the terrorist mindset.
Having travelled to over thirty-five countries across five continents, Daniel has climbed the Annapurna Mountains in Nepal, journeyed into the Sahara Desert in North Africa, hiked through the jungles of Sumatra and visited the capitals of Europe. He’s also been woken by the Muslim call to prayer once too often in Morocco, Turkey and Indonesia. It’s this thirst for new experiences and knowledge—along with his commitment to researching the worlds and characters that populate his novels—that drives him and his writing.
The authenticity of his work has led many to ask if he’s served in the clandestine services. The answer is no, not in real life. But in his imagination? Absolutely. A lifelong fan of thrillers from authors such as John Le Carré, Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn, Daniel Silva, and many others, he eagerly pursued a career in writing. Graduating from university with a degree in literature and history, he has gone on to work as a scriptwriter and narrative specialist for interactive entertainment companies such as Disney, Sony, and Microsoft. This is his first novel.
I took a chance on an author whom I have never read and am so glad I did. Daniel Dick, as far as I am concerned, you are right up there with the best authors of spy, intrigue, and all the others categories that makes a book come to life. Please! Keep writing. I don’t know if you have written any other books because I wanted to get out this review (which I have never done) but will certainly research. Thanks for a great ride and good luck. Bill R.
I just finished Imminent Threat by Daniel Dick and I loved it. Immediately I started searching for any other books by this Autor but could not find any. I am s great fan of Daniel Silva's Gabriel Allan's series and Imminent Threat is in the same category and I hope that "Daniel Dick" write some more, I will be looking for them Miko
Very engaging story that had me turning pages from the start. What a great read this is. Very germane to today’s world, even rather scary. If you like thrillers you need to read this one. I sure hope Daniel Dick keeps writing because there are going to be a legion of readers waiting in the wings to read more. 5
Akil Hassan is a very human intelligence agent with believable motivations and willing to risk his career to save American lives. I found him a refreshing change from oversized pulp heroes of the genre. And I can only hope that such people still exist in our troubled intelligence services.
This was a very good read. Full of suspense and real life anxiety. It makes you realize how fragile this life we are living really is, not knowing when and where the next threat to our existence is coming, whether from home or abroad. Very good writing and kept me glued to the very end. I was a bit sad at the rushed ending but satisfied and look forward to reading the next book.
