About the author

I live in West Yorkshire with my husband, my grown-up step daughter and my babies, aged five and two.

I’ve been writing stories from as soon as I could write. As a child, I'd staple together pieces of paper and turn them into books to inflict on willing family members and not so willing friends. When I struggled to get pregnant with my first daughter, I found myself reaching for a pen and paper. My journal became my companion throughout my journey to conceive and eventually formed the basis for my first book, Warrior.

I've since been humbled by the many messages I've received from readers, saying that my book resonated and helped them.

Infertility is a subject close to my heart, and I'll continue to be an active campaigner for better support for those struggling with infertility.

In my second book and first fiction novel, The Unchosen Life, I explore what comes next for those who don't manage to get pregnant, stay pregnant or have babies. I think it's important to raise the subject and give the many women who don't get the happy ending they long for, something to relate to.

First and foremost, I just wanted to say to anyone who is dealing with infertility, you might’ve heard this before but I just wanted to say that you’re not alone. You might feel like you are while dealing with a difficult thing like infertility but you’re truly not alone, and this book made me realize that. @tori, you truly are a warrior for what you’ve been through and I’m so glad you decided to share your story. This book was a roller coaster of emotions for me, it’s a really wonderful and helpful book for women who are TTC.

What an amazing book. It’s a book that I think everyone should read wether you are battling infertility or not, to get more of an understanding of how it feels for someone who is. The amount of times I have been asked if I am going to have another baby because I am so good with kids I have lost count of. I luckily had my daughter young and didn’t find out that I had fertility problems (pcos) until after. Tori is so strong to share her story with us if you are looking for your next read make it #warrior.

Absolutely incredible book. A definite must read for those who are struggling with fertility issues. This book & Tori's story definitely helped me to feel less alone in my own fertility struggles. I didn’t expect this story to be diary entries, I’d have loved more fertility world stuff early on, but quickly came to feel comforted by this book and Tori’s story. Sharing the highs and low of fertility with a real life perspective that it’s not plain sailing and you have to dig really bloody deep when wading through the trenches.
