Donut Disaster

A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors.
And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder.
*A laugh out loud standalone cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore* All books in the series can be read individually but are best enjoyed in order.

My name is Lottie Lemon and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, aka dead pets, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owners impending doom.

It’s Noah’s birthday, and I’m throwing him a surprise party down at Honey Lake. But before we can dive into that donut tower of a birthday cake, I happen to stumble upon another body. Someone very close to Noah has been murdered. And to top it all off, my relationships with Noah and Everett are about to change forever.

Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see dead pets—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in the occasional ghost of the human variety, a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.

Living in the small town of Honey Hollow can be murder.

Ugh...

Okay, I've been with this series since book #1 and quite frankly I am a little tired of it. One, I don't think she should have made the series a stand alone series because it becomes soooo boring reading over and over the same stuff time and time again. Second, I think by now she should have picked between Noah and Everett or they have a nice threesome. At this point I don't even care. Third, I think she gets dumber each book. Like when she sees an animal she makes it known to everyone before she finds out if its real or dead. Then always letting the killer she knows its them. Hello! Ugh!? So frustrating. I think its time for me to hang up my Lottie Lemon hat. I don't read to be frustrated. I get that in real life.

Addisons writing drags me in like Lottie lemon knows how to keep her customers coming back to her delicious baked confections. I am so in love with the characters of these books both the living and the dearly departed.
Lottie has a knack for solving murders, her love life though is still up for questions.
All through the books I find myself talking out loud to the characters, they feel like old friends every time I open a new Murder in the Mix book. Not to mention I want to spend time in Honey Hollow!
I always like to add for these books that yes they are stand alone novels, but I can not suggest enough that you hold up back up and start from the beginning. Trust me, it’s so worth the back ground information.
Till we meet again in Honey Hollow, I’m going to try and decide if I’m team Noah or team Everett!

Addison just keeps winning with the Murder in the Mix series!! In her newest addition, Donut Disaster, the suspect list is higher and mightier than we have seen yet!! The characters keep growing, and we keep learning more about them. Along with the recently deceased and the suspect list, that is.
I have said it before, but I will most certainly say it again. I tend to pride myself on being able to figure out who the killer is before the big reveal. Donut Disaster had me fooled, BIG TIME. By the time it was all said and done and the killer was revealed, I was shocked!! I had it all wrong! Definitely worth a read, or two!! I gave it two! 5 stars for sure!! Addison keeps killing me with these books, I cannot seem to put them down!!

Seriously, donut pass this book up!!

Another fantastic book in this series

I’m completely in love with this series and I always anticipate the next book. Lottie has a great life in hilarious and fantastic world. She can never make up her mind about her two love interests and while it would be nice to see her finally choose one, it doesn’t detract from the books.

Donut Disaster by Addison Moore is the 12th book in the Murder in the Mix series. This series is about Lottie Lemon. A baker with the abillity to see dead pets and when she sees them awful things are about to happen. I really like this series! As always Addison Moore's writing is amazing.

Okay, so maybe it's a good thing that she still has these guys wrapped around her finger because of how this all ended. It's been a while since I read the next book, and that's the only one I've read before I dove into books 1–12 recently. So, let's see how much I remember.

You donut want to miss it!

Donut Disaster is the 12th book in the Murder in the Mix series from Addison Moore who never fails to deliver crazy antics, a romantic roller coaster ride and a suspenseful mystery. Poor Lottie once again stumbles across a body in Honey Hollow and must race against time to figure out whodunnit. With the help of her spectral associates and some of her real-life best friends, Lottie dodges mischief as usual while on the hunt for the killer and yet somehow juggles two sexy-as-hell love interests vying for her attention as her one and only. This series is so unique and special that continues to surprise even the most diehard of readers to Addison's work. I can't wait to see what happens in book 13 because book 12 certainly delivered the goods. Don't hesitate to check it out because you won't be disappointed.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Okay, so I've made it to book #14 in this series, and I feel like I need to post a review for all the books I've read up to this point. These books rea all set pretty close together, so it's almost like you're reading one big, long story or watching a TV drama or soap opera. There are some really fun, interesting things in these books, and some other things that are problematic.

Things that I like:

The setting - Honey Hollow is one of those adorable little towns that exist almost exclusively in rom-com books or cozy TV shows. Think Stars Hollow, but in Vermont. It's the kind of town that has absolutely no major corporations in the downtown area. No McDonald's, no Walmart's, nothing. Everything is family owned. Every business decorates for whatever event/holiday/season is coming up or going on and everyone in town is always at every event. I'm here for that. If I could find this kind of town in RL, I would be in heaven. I'm sure that some place, somewhere, is like this, and I haven't found it yet, so that's why I'm saying it's almost exclusively in books or shows. But I do really love this little town.

Most of the side characters - I love Keelie and Meg the most of the side characters, but Lainey, Brittany, and even Cormack are fun and have enough quirks to keep them interesting. I'm not saying they are perfect, but they are a lot of fun and I want a friend group just like them.

The premise - I'm not going to do spoilers for any of the books, but this isn't really a spoiler, since it is literally the first paragraph in every book. Lottie's power is really cool and something different from the normal cozy mystery realm. She sees ghosts of pets and people who are there to help her solve a murder of someone they are close to. Love this idea. It's really what sets this series apart from the other cozy mystery type stories. The fact that her powers do grow and shift, and her reaction to them, is something that seems like normal reactions.

Everett - I really like Everett. He's understanding, has his own demons, is a calming force on Lottie, and really cares about her. He tells her things that he's hidden from others in the past, which just shows how much he cares for her. And he's willing to give her time to figure things out on her own. He also supports her in everything, but mostly in her investigations. He knows she's going to do whatever it is she's going to do, so he tags along to make sure she's as safe as she can be in the situation. He doesn't try to fit her in a box of his own expectations, but lets her be her own person, which is very refreshing.

Things I'm on the fence about:

Lottie - Yes, the FMC herself. First of all, I do like Lottie. She has a lot of good points, and she genuinely cares about people and is fiercely loyal to her friends and family. She is stubborn and keeps going, no matter what obstacles are in her way. I like that part of her. However, the other part of her is a complete mess. The woman cannot make up her mind about her love life and frankly, it's pretty darn annoying. I get that it's easy to be attracted to two different men at once, but if she actually sat down and looked at how each of them treats her, she would be able to make her choice. That part of her makes her seem kind of airheaded and jealous all the time. I really don't like that treatment of her, even though those are normal emotions and behaviors, and she is relatable. But given how focused she is in her business and the other parts of her life, it's almost like the author is afraid to make a choice for Lottie and make someone mad. Which just leaves everything in a long, drawn-out romantic triangle that no one really asked for.

Things I really don't like -

Both of Lottie's mothers - Look, the backstory of Lottie's birth mom having been a teenage who got pregnant and left her to be adopted by her "parents" is good. Love the back story and the support Lottie gets from her adoptive family is great. But both of her moms act like they are mean girls in high school and the only thing they have to do is fight each other over who has which guy as a boyfriend now. After hearing about how much Miranda loved her deceased husband and spent 10 years not dating, to have her having a revolving door of dates now seems a bit of an overkill. I do think that people can and should have meaningful relationships after their SO's pass on, but her relationships seem so superficial and juvenile. Carlotta, on the other hand, has every reason to distrust men (that we know of. We don't get a whole lot of background on where she was and what happened for the 29 years she was gone), but she just jumps back into competing with Miranda for every man in her life. It's very 1980's soap opera-ish. And really, it's somewhat distracting to the main stories.

The constant repetition - There are certain words/phrases/paragraphs that seem as if they are just lifted from one book and dropped right into the next. Do we really need the first paragraph (which is also the blurb for every single book) about Lottie and her ability to see the dead? Couldn't the author think of a different way to work it in somewhere in the first chapter or so? Why don't we get any background as to why Lottie's powers are suddenly escalating? But nope, just the same "I'm Lottie Lemon and I see dead pets." every single story. Also, why does everyone refer to Lottie almost exclusively as Lottie Lemon? It's not like Lainey comes in and someone always says, "Lainey Lemon!" I'm sure there are multiple ways to keep putting her last name in there, if that's what the author is really wanting to do. And the shoulder shimmy and hip bump. It's like those phrases are used 40-50 times per book. The books are not that long at all. There is no reason for someone's shoulders to do a shimmy every other chapter or so.

Noah - I know this will probably cause some hurt feelings, but Noah is not a likeable character. He is controlling and stalkerish. His and Lottie's meet cute was cute. I enjoyed that. But then, Noah got problematic. I enjoyed the beginning of his relationship with Lottie. He was her pick, and Everett was there in the background, but I was fine with Noah. UNTIL Brittany showed up. Do you mean to tell me in SIX MONTHS Noah couldn't find one second to have a serious conversation with the woman he said he was falling in love with to tell her that his divorce was not finalized yet? Oh, his bad. He "forgot" to tell her. Just like he "forgot" to tell her that he put a tracker on her car. Is that even legal? Oh, and cameras pointing at her front door? Really? Hello, stalker. And when Lottie, who did not want to be the other woman, tells him that yes, she has feelings for him, but she is done with him because of his wife, he refuses to accept that. Instead of figuring out his relationship with Brittany (and Cormack -but that's next), he continuously busts in on Lottie and Everett. That really bothered me. Lottie set boundaries and eventually, when things had settled down, she and Noah could have been really good friends, but he refuses to accept the boundaries. He constantly interrupts Lottie and Everett, breaking in whenever they are alone and making snide comments about Everett. You know who doesn't do that later? Everett. When he tells Lottie to figure out who she wants to be with, he even says no to getting physical with Lottie so she can decide for herself between Noah and Everett. But Noah? Nope, Lottie is his toy and he can't stand other people touching his toys. And then, he "accidentally" gets engaged to Cormack and "can't find a way" to tell her that they are actually not engaged. He takes her on dates. Takes her to dinner. Takes her to relationship counseling. Let's Cormack throw them an engagement party. And through all of this, he keeps telling Lottie that "he just can't figure out how to get Cormack to understand." Idk, dude. Maybe stop taking her on dates? Slap her with a restraining order? You're a detective. Figure it out. OH, and that brings me the worst part of Noah (if you can believe that). He doesn't want a relationship with Lottie. He wants to own her and to put her in a box or on a shelf. The whole first part of their relationship is him telling Lottie to stay out of everything and be a good girl and get back in the kitchen. Look, I get she's a baker and he's trying to keep her safe. But there is ALWAYS a point in the books that he realizes she's far ahead of him in the investigation and all of a sudden, it's fine for her to be involved. As long as she follows his rules and does exactly what he says.

So, I read through the first 13 pretty quickly and have started 14. But I think I'm going to take a break, because the things I am annoyed with are slowly starting to outweigh the things that I like about this book series. Hopefully, when I go back and pick it up again, I'll be able to enjoy the stories once again.

Disappointment and getting bored

I have enjoyed her stories from the beginning from the spin off of the other one back about the girl who reads thoughts to solve murders but anyway it was interesting in the beginning with the two men and waiting for her to decide but it’s got to the point that now it’s boring and she’s starting to seem very selfish that she can’t make up her mind and I’m getting tired of that part of the storyline The detective guy I would have just left behind a wimp and just tired of his remarks and stalking and needy ways. I enjoy the mysteries of the detective stuff. ENOUGH

Addison Moore did it again. Donut Disaster has everything you could ever want in a book. Yummy characters, delicious men, a pinch of the supernatural and the cherry on top a little murder mystery. Lottie Lemon is a sweet and lovable character with two very steemy men fighting for her heart. Shes the best baker in town and as it turns out the best sluth around as well. Will she solve yet another murder? Will she make a choice between Mr. Sexy or Mr. Fox? You will have to read to find out!

Happy Birthday and Happy Birthday Redo

Donut Disaster, Murder in the Mix book 12, focuses on baker Lottie Lemon’s dual dilemmas: who killed Dr. Morgan, and which man should she choose now that Noah is legally divorced? The answer to the first question unfolds naturally—after many dead ends with many suspects, including yet more Elite Entourage members (quasi-prostitutes who escort rich clients to public events and get as physically involved with each client as he requests) and mistresses (some younger than 28-year-old Lottie, who recently learned her bio father is the mayor of Honey Hollow, her small Vermont hometown. A married father of 3 with a 16–year-old? Eew!) The killer is unmasked and, (SPOILER ALERT) despite his death being accidental, tries to silence Lottie before she can identify her. Lottie is drugged and dragged to the lake, and only the intervention of ghostly Cookie the giant dog saves Lottie from drowning.
The mystery of police detective Noah versus judge Everett proves more complicated. Both men are gorgeous, talented at kissing, and interested in Lottie!
Noah’s older brother Alex, an investment banker, comes to town to throw Noah a surprise party 3 weeks before his birthday. The Honey Lake Festival runs all August long, so it looks like a perfect setup. But someone else has a surprise of their own.
Lottie decides to make dozens of donuts, including a 3-foot donut cake like her sample at the wedding expo where her sister Lainey’s wedding planner was found with a sample of cake (book 11). She’s met Dr. Morgan, up for promotion to head of surgery at Honey Hollow Hospital, along with 2 girls fighting over him, and Dr. Drake, who’s next in line for the promotion Dr. Morgan is getting, and is unsuccessfully trying to decide whether Noah or Everett will win her heart. It’s an epic dilemma, and while her randy best friend Keelie and sister Meg encourage her to try both men on for size (wink), her bio father the mayor gives her good advice: don’t do anything rash, but wait a while and see what happens in your heart. Given his affair with Lottie’s underage bio mom, it’s surprising but welcome.
Meanwhile, Dr. Morgan is found dead (by Lottie, of course) with a half-eaten donut nearby (of course). Looks like Lottie’s adoptive mom’s Haunted Honey Hollow tours will see an uptick in business, as will the donuts in Lottie’s Cutie Pie Bakery—tour guests have a ghoulish interest in buying The Last Thing They Ate, which in the doctor’s case was a donut.
The party is a bust, but Lottie, Alex, and Everett (who’s getting along much better with his ex-stepbrother) want a redo, and they plan it for a night later on in the festival. By then, Lottie has met Dr. Morgan’s huge dog Cookie, who suspects everyone Lottie questions.
After the cast of characters moves Lainey and Forest’s furniture into their new house (and couples including Lottie and Everett find cozy nooks to make out in), the honeymooners return and praise their friends. Lottie’s mom—the one who raised her, not her bio mom—credits the new pastor of Covenant Church, who blessed the house before disappearing with her mom into a bedroom. Mom’s history of poor choices in men continues!
Noah reports that the doctor was drugged by injection and then shot with his own gun. Rumors of suicide run rampant, and despite the angle of injection being impossible to self-inflict, Noah elects not to let others know he’s classed it a homicide, thinking the killer will get cocky and slip up.
A long list of resentful mistresses and ex-wives, plus the mayor’s bratty daughters, are eliminated as suspects, to Cookie’s disappointment. But Lottie stumbles upon evidence that points to the killer (SPOILER ALERT) and accidentally finds herself alone with her. The killer admits to drugging Dr. Morgan, but says he began thrashing around due to the drug and accidentally shot himself with his own gun! She went back to the party and hoped no one would find him. She didn’t count on Lottie!
When Lottie gets out of the hospital, all drug effects gone, both Noah and Everett welcome her back…and so do every ghost, animal and human, she’s ever seen! Nell, her beloved grandmother and fairy godmother, who gave Lottie her many holdings in town in a will that’s being contested by her new uncle, warns Lottie that something dark and dangerous will come to Honey Hollow—and she’ll need all their help to survive. A grand setup for the next two books, which aren’t on Kindle Unlimited and must be purchased! That should cost this book a star, but it’s not the book’s fault or the author’s. It’s the publisher’s fault, but I can’t give them the 1-star review they deserve. Instead I’ll rate this book, a stunner that ends with a happy birthday party for Noah at the B&B and Lottie still undecided—it could take all 51 remaining books to reach that conclusion! The characters are well drawn and even the worst ones, like Cormack, the high school girlfriend of both boys who believes firmly she’s going to marry Noah, are humorous. Recommended!

Addison Moore seriously knows how to write such a grip hooking storyline that you can’t help but want more of each time you pick up her books and read on. Yet again, we are back with Lottie Lemon and she is in a bit of a crisis, but it’s nothing that she can’t handle. I love how Addison has created her, she’s pretty special and unique and you can’t help but fall in love with her. Addison has really made Lottie her own character and I love the adventures that she’s goes on. The story never bores me and I just want to keep reading as I get to end of each book. I have no idea how she manages to keep giving us all these amazing stories, but I know for a fact that this is only going to get better. I couldn’t find anything that I didn’t love about the book, the writing was perfect, the characters were amazing as always… honestly, I wouldn’t mind slapping Cormack, but if you’ve read these books, you’ll understand why. But other than that, Addison has done a great job and after that ending just, she has really thrown a spanner into the works as I have no idea what to expect from her next, but I know it’ll be worth it.

Lottie has just been dealt the news that Noah is finally getting the divorce that he wants, but whilst that makes her heart do a little dance, she has no idea how to process it all because things seem to be going well with Essex. Now that Noah’s divorce is final it opens up a whole new can of worms that she wasn’t ready to deal with, but now she’s got no choice to. Aside from that, she’s also gathering up everyone to help out with surprising Noah for his birthday, it’s a few weeks away but with Noah’s brother Alex turning up it sounded like the perfect way to combine a family reunion together. With that all under way, Lottie shouldn’t be so worried other than her impending love life, but yet again something catches her eyes and throws her whole life off into a complete mess, someone is out for blood….

Lottie Lemon is a baker who has one too many suitors and a knack for solving murder mysteries. She has this supernatural power that lets her communicate with the dearly departed pets or loved ones of the victim and they help with solving their murder. Though she may have a knack at solving those, her love life is a different situation. She is torn between two very sexy and smart men and she can't quite decide on who she would settle on! Oh, and the ladies that have been linked with the men before Lottie are quite enjoyable haha!

I have been reading this series from the start and the characters feel like my friends now! Every single one of them have a purpose to the story. Even the dearly departed are getting a spot in my heart! This has been no different from the earlier books. Every chapter is enjoyable and it is a page turner! Though it is a series, every book can be read as a stand alone.

Every time! Addison Moore is my hero. I really don't know how she whips up these books in no time flat! Each and every time, I am completely sucked in and fall in love with the characters.
The Murder in the Mix series has become a favorite of mine! I absolutely love Lottie, Essex, and Noah. Of course another murder happens and Lottie is right in the middle of it. Lottie and Essex are quite the team but I love how Noah never gives up and keeps fighting for Lottie. He fights for her heart and to keep her out of jail!
I am still hoping and holding out for Lottie to be with both Essex and Noah! Sorry ... Not Sorry, but I cant decide between the two and Lottie loves them both. I am really interested to find out what happens when Noah's divorce is actually finalized. Things are going to go down! In the mean time, I am here along for this roller coaster of a ride.

Donut anyone

Welcome or should I say welcome back to Honey Hollow where the relationships are just as confusing and hot as the Donuts in the bakery.

Lottie has found herself in tangled in another murder. But this time it’s a good friend of Noah and Everette’s. This one leads them on a merry chase and there are far to many suspects.

But Lottie is just as confused as ever as she can’t narrow done or can’t figure out who her real boyfriend is or she wants. As she is judgemental of her sister Meg and others relationship. She is the ring leader of the very thing she looks down on. Healing her heart doesn’t start with her relationship with Noah and Everette. It truly starts with her bio-parents and her life.

As you read she blames others for her failed relationships. But in actuality she is her own worst enemy. The series is actually great when you can get past her double relationships and the cat fights.

Donut Disaster is book 12 in the Murder in the Mix series, and this series is just so much fun! Each book is a stand-alone romantic mystery, but I highly recommend you read the whole series because the are fun books. Donut Disaster is the latest adventure of Lottie Lemon and her bakery, not to mention her love triangle with Noah and Everett. Lottie sees dead pets, but occasionally dead people, too, and it puts her on the detective path.

Addison Moore's books are well-written, light reading, and a quick, humorous, enjoyable ride. If you want to read this, but you want to catch up on the entire series first, you can easily do so within 2 weeks. If you have read Addison Moore's Murder in the Mix series previously, you will enjoy this story just as much as her previous books. If you are new to this series, and are a fan of fun, entertaining, quirky reads, this one is for you.

This is a stand-alone book but if you are going to read this one you will want to read all the ones that come before it as they are just as amazing and help you get to know all of the characters in this book.

Lottie and the gang decide to throw Noah a surprise party at Honey lake and of course, there is a body to be found. There are lots of people around so that means there are lots of people who could have done it. Lottie and the gang spend lots of time searching for the murderer. In the end, they catch the murderer as they always do. They just have lots of places to go to search, and lots of interesting things happen while they are looking.

All I can say is that you are going to enjoy this book as much as you did any of the rest..

First of all I have to confess that I´m not into paranormal nor into mystery romance, but I have read the 3:AM series from Addison Moore and loved it, so I was giving this book a chance. It´s very clear to me that Addison Moore is a very talented writer, as how can a mystery romance can be light and funny? Well, Donut Disaster is, and so much more! The main character, Lottie, seems to have everything in doubles: parents, sisters, adopted and biological, and even boyfriends! And amazingly it doesn´t sound obnouxious or fake and her character is a very down to earth even when she sees and talks with pet ghosts. I only wish I have had read the first books in the series as sometimes it was hard to memorize the same of the whole bunch of characters. If you enjoy rom com with a spice of mystery and paranormal this book is for you. Enjoy!

I could not wait to read this book and I was not disappointed! Lottie Lemon is back at finding bodies and accosting killers. She is really the only chance the deceased or their loved ones have at justice. I always enjoy the murder mystery part of these books but the love triangle has got me hooked! Lottie is still trying to make a decision between Noah and Everett. They are both so loving and understanding to her needs it is almost unbelievable. The love story line in this book was more of a feel good one that I enjoyed reading and it did not leave me on pins and needles like the last one. I think my heart needed a break anyway! Lol However, you will be left with a suspenseful cliffhanger. Something is brewing in Honey Hallow and I can not wait to find out all about it in the next book!

As an avid reader it is always great to find a series that delivers a quality storyline and characters book after book. In Donut Disaster Addison Moore delivers yet again! Each book in the Murder in the Mix series is just as good as the previous books. You want to keep reading even though you don't want to reach the end. Even though Lottie has a supernatural gift, her character contains depth and realism. The love triangle between her, Noah, and Everett takes twists and turns that can leave you picking favorites and holding your breath with the suspense of how things will play out. I can't wait to read the next book!

Honey Hollow’s premier Lottie Lemon is a renowned mystery solver. No crime stops her. If anyone can find the facts, she can! In this hilarious, disaster-filled (a good disaster!) delicious donut mystery, Lottie has a difficult time pinning the culprit in this book, and wow! Did we NOT see that coming! With he heart torn between two crime-fighting men themselves, the good judge and the good detective, Lottie’s totally got this right? Right. Maybe. Watch Lottie discover a few hidden secrets, handle a few twisted turns, and maybe keep her sanity? Donut Disaster can be read as a stand-alone and as an addition to the Murder in the Mix series, it’s even more delicious! Addison Moore has the reader guessing more in this one than usual, so be prepared for this adventure in Honey Hollow.

Donut Disaster (Murder in the Mix #12) — Addison Moore (19 chapters) October 22, 2021

It’s Noah’s birthday and Lottie has made a birthday cake of donuts for a surprise party. Unfortunately, a person close to Noah is the latest victim and Lottie needs to find the killer but quickly.

These stories are starting to run together and it’s not as much fun anymore. I can pretty much read half of each one by now since the writer includes the same nonsense in every book.

It’s tiring and taking me longer to read each one to get to the two I need to read in the Cozy Halloween book set. I think once I get to those books it may be the end to this series for me.

Sad, because I like the mysteries in these stories and the ghosts. But not the boy toy drama.

Two stars.

Fantastic read. Well written with a great plot and characters. I was absorbed from beginning to end. I love getting to visit Honey Hollow. Lottie Lemon has her hands full once again. She has a new bakery, a love triangle with Noah and Everett, she sees ghosts of deceased animals and on occasion a human ghost(the ghosts help Lottie solve the murders), and she usually discovers a dead body and then proceeds to solve a murder.....she kinda has a knack for it! These books can be read as a stand-alone but I Highly recommend reading them in order.....I love this series and can't wait to read the next book! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.

Suitable for ages 12+
Lottie Lemon is a baker in a small town called Honey Hollow. Lottie sees dead pets who warn her of a coming murder and stick around to help her. Lottie is also in a love triangle with Noah and his brother Everett.
This book was recommended to me by a friend and I liked the paranormal aspect of it. I did not like this one book though. It was repetitive, like the cheating thing was repeated multiple times, the Cormack situation was repeated several times and there were others. I liked the talking deceased animals, but other than that, I found this story to be uninteresting and dull.

I fell in love with Lottie Lemon, Honey Hollow and all the characters in the first book and I'm still in love with them. If Honey Hollow was a real place I would definitely have to schedule a visit. As is, it's not, so I will have to settle for visiting it through the pages of the stories, many times over. The characters in this series are amazing, witty, funny and sometimes relatable. I am really enjoying the journey that the author takes me on with each new story in the series and I look forward to reading many more pages/books. Well done to the author.

Lottie finds herself solving yet another murder, this time with the help of a Newfoundland. She quickly discovers who his owner was when she finds the body. She is then left to figure out did the killing and why. There was no shortage of suspects and it did take her some time to figure it out. Her love life is still in turmoil. Am patiently waiting for her to get on the path to her making a choice between the two. Everett and Noah both bring happiness and joy to her life so I am interested to see where this goes.

This is another great addition to the series. I am not sure how Addison Moore does it. Each book is awesome in its own way. They are not cookie cutter duplicates of the book that came before it. They may have a common thread, the love triangle, Lottie's ability to communicate with the dead, animal or person, and her penchant for finding dead bodies.  Each story is its own. You sink into them and the characters you come to love and can’t wait to see what happens next. This is one of these series that you are going to be sad it ends and will go back and read over and over.

There was so much in this book to love! Lottie, Everett, and Noah in their triangle romance have to work together to solve a murder once again! I can lose myself in these Honey Hollow Rom-com, murder-mystery, suspenseful storylines! Addison's descriptive writing seems to embed you right into the middle of the story so you are trying to discover the murderer right along with Lottie Lemon! That cliffhanger ending though?!?! Please release the next book out now!!!

This was my first Murder in the Mix book but I'm a huge fan of Addison's 3AM Kisses series. This book had a lot going on with a ton of continuing characters that add so much depth to the story. She does a great job filling new readers in so you can jump in and feel like you know what's going on with everyone, mostly lol. I look forward to going back and seeing what all I've been missing out on!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another murder at Noahs birthday party has Lottie back in investigative mode. Bit its hard to focus while her heart is splitting into. Everrett decides now that Noahs divorce is final that Lottie should explore her feelings for Noah once and for all. Things are definitely complicated to say the least! With a decision to make between two gorgeous men and a new murderer to bring to justice, Lottie is feeling the pressure. Yep, just another day in Honey Hollow for Lottie
