Emberly has already learned that danger can be masked by the most innocent of faces, and now she must continue playing the political chess match of her new life amongst the royal family. Saradin is out for revenge against both Emberly and Ardenia and the threat of war hangs heavily over their heads. Even as things are heating up between her and her princes, Suneel, Jett, Blaine, Hunter, and Flynn, Emberly must be careful not to let herself be burned by the flames and to keep her head clear enough to see the darkness hiding in the shadows. Blood, corruption, and a thirst for power are exposed as the secrets of the Guardians are revealed. Emberly must decide if the truth is worth disturbing the poisonous lies that weave through her world. Will all of her struggles be for nothing, or is there a ray of hope for The Valkyries’ Queen?
The long awaited sequel/conclusion to The Valkyries' Princes.
There are lots of twists and turns within the book that I didn't see coming, but I'm so glad to see play out. I also loved the budding relationship with a certain mom. It was totally adorable.
The story is written-well and sucks you in from the beginning. And I just loved how the world was portrayed. I could almost immerse myself like I was really there.
Overall, it was a fantastic read and one I would recommend highly.
I loved the first book in this series as Quinn wrote a different take on Valkyries which I love to read about. This second edition was a great expansion of the foundation she used set in book 1.
The characters are constantly opening up and we discover new things about each character. Emberly and her princes relationship is superbly written and I love the story of them. The steamy scenes where hot and also adorable in some cases.
The plot twists were seriously awesome in this book and I didn't actually get one of them which is rare for me so kudos to you Quinn.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
P.s. it doesn't end on a cliffhanger so I am not sure if there will be a book 3 but it would be nice to get some shorts for their lives and their daughters' later on.
I love love love this series. The premise is great and interesting. I wish this series would go on forever. I love Emberly, Jett, Hunter, Neel, Blaine, and Flynn. Although there was less action and intrigue in this book than the first, we saw the relationship develop between Emberly and her mates and how she worked through living court life. I actually wish there was more interaction with her mates. There just was not enough alone time with her and them (wink wink). All the questions in the first book were answered and some surprises too and I felt like that took up a lot of the bulk of the book. I actually felt like the author rushed through a lot to fit all the answers into 1 book and tie up loose ends when there was so much material to work with that she could have easily made a third book to wrap up the series. It would have felt less rushed.
The author definitely could have expanded on time with her mates and developing their relationship, the mystery of what happened to the queens and guardians, court intrigue and relationships with courtiers and ladies (aka the mates’ mothers), Emberly’s fight training and physical strength development, and the plot on how some one is always trying to murder Emberly. So much material to work with could have easily made a third book.
The first book felt slower and well paced, this 2nd book just felt rushed and packed with answers and revelations. The ending, although it is definitely an ending, still leaves you wanting more from this world and characters. Like you still did not get enough of them and this world.
I will always hope for another book in this series!
Wow! Perfect ending! Quinn Arthur’s created such an amazing world and I just wanted to go live in it and I wanted to be Amberley’s Best friend. Seeing how Amberly went from having no wings and being bullied and not having a say in her life and what she can do and being really scared to seeing her be queen and ruling with her guys and becoming outspoken, unafraid, The best, making choices, fighting back, and just taking her life back was amazing. This book really spoke to me because it shows how even if you have a defect or if you think you aren’t Worth nothing someone else will think you are worth fighting for and that you are worth loving and that despite your differences you can grow from them and become a new person, a better person. Quinn Arthur’s didn’t just make a fantastic fantasy reverse harem book, Quinn Arthur’s made a survival book, and inspirational book. The guys showed that even when you think you’re at your lowest and you think no one will come someone will eventually and that person will understand you and that there’s always someone out there that will understand you and be there for you. Quinn Arthur’s definitely rocks! Amazing duo-logy!
I do enjoy this installment but it wasn't what I thought it would be. I liked how the relationships between Emberly and the guys progressed, it seemed more natural in this one than the first and I liked how Emberly meet Lady Lydia and started to understand what it means to be Gaurdian more. A couple of things I didn't like was how the duel was issued very quickly and for no real reason, I didn't like how the Master Healer acted sometimes while I understand his position and how he wanted to learn everything he could he acted so unlike himself from the first and the last major thing I didn't like was how quickly the book ended, I wanted more from these characters and the last chapter and epilogue could have been part of a next book instead of rushed at the end. Also sidenote the whole king thing at the end seemed out of left field, even though it did make sense that it happened but it added to the rushed factor of the ending. Overall I did like this story and this world I just wish we get more one day even if it's not with Emberly and the princes as the main characters.
I love this book! I’m so glad Quinn Arthurs decided to continue this story. The Valkyrie Princes was supposed to be a stand alone but I guess she listened to her fans begging for more and she gave us this amazing gift. I’m so grateful for it. This book hooks you up from the VERY first sentence. Seriously, guys. And it’s such a great ride from beginning to end. Secrets are revealed, things start to make so much more sense. And the ending is just... it’s everything. This is a great continuation for the series and I honestly can’t express how happy I am with it. There are plot twists that will blow your mind and I loved to see the characters growing and becoming more. To see their relationship developing. This is one book worth reading.
This is the second book of Emberly's story and brings a conclusion to her story(unless there's something planned I don't know about). Emberly is already with the princes as we leave her last, but she's still meek and finding her way. In this book, Emberly really grows. She finds herself in more ways than one. Her relationships deepen and she deals with political drama and intrigue. I was very happy with how things turned out and I felt that she got what she needed, as did I. I would love to see another story many years down the road with someone else as the main lead... Overall I would recommend this series.
I would give it a 3.5? The ending, the whole book really, felt very rushed. She never really spent much time with any of the princes. We are told "this Prince likes the stars," or "this one likes books." That is all we really hear about them, other than the fact that some of them like it a touch darker. The time skip really felt like the author didn't want to put in any effort of detail.
For all of my criticism I did actually enjoy most of the book. I am glad the author was realistic about the main character's ability, or lack of, to fight and fly. She does struggle and is insecure, all of which make sense considering her background.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked how Emberly grew as a character even though she still had some self doubt. As with the last book, I loved experiencing the guys' devotion. Though I had suspicions regarding the plot twist, it made for a more interesting tale. My only criticism is that I wanted more. I am not sure if the author has plans for additional books in this series but I would love to see more of the kingdom if/when the magic returns and the differences under a matriarchy as opposed to a patriarchy. Overall, this was a very entertaining read!
Quinn Arthurs has written a great second book in the Jeweled Wings series, with The Valkyries' Queen.
Emberly’s relationship continues to evolve with the Princes Suneel, Jett, Blaine, Hunter, and Flynn. This story is filled with revenge, danger, mystery, magic, love and lies, as they try to discover more about the guardians.
With war looming on the horizon will they be able to help their kingdom?
I’m unclear if this is the final book or if there is more to come from this series. Luckily the ending of the story does leave this opened for either situation.
No spoilers of any kind included. I absolutely loved this book! I was sucked in before I had even finished the first chapter and I could not climb out until I got to the end of the book, where I was left wanting and needing more! Quinn Arthurs definitely has an amazing way of weaving her story because I am now impatiently waiting for more of her work. So it’s going to be a big HECK YEAH I most definitely do recommend this book because I really enjoyed reading it and I think you will too!
This is the second book in this series, and the first one definitely needs to be read first to understand the story, and avoid spoilers of the first book. It was great to return to this world, and these characters. Well edited, the plot was fast With a surprise twist I didn't see coming at all. This book ends on a happy for now, but I felt the author left it open to return to this world to see more of the side characters. I definitely hope for more books about these characters, and this world, as I very much enjoyed both of the books in this series.
The Valkries’ Queen is the second book in the Jeweled Wings series by Quinn Arthurs and it was perfect! This books starts off where they left off in the first. Emberly is getting used to being a royal and the duties to go with it, while her relationships with her princes, Suneel, Jett, Blaine, Hunter & Flynn intensify. The story captivates your attention right from the beginning full of drama, danger, suspense, emotion and passion. This series has everything I love in a reverse harem. I hope we get to read more about Emberly and her princes.
I loved this book! I did not want it to end. I love the relation ship between Emberly and Neels mum. I truely did not see that part with the king coming even though it hinted with the diary from the library. I felt as if we missed out on a big chunk of the story from the moment with the king to the babys birth but it wasnt bad enough to lower my rating lol. I love this series it would have been great as one big book instead of two parts. Recommended!

I loved this book. I was so excited that the series would be continuing because the first book was so different and new, a wonderful reverse harem. There were so many surprises that I was not expecting, I didn't see the betrayal coming. I loved how we got to see Emberley develop a relationship with a least one of the princes mums', Lydia is such a wonderful character. I am really hoping that there will be at least one more book to fully flesh out and complete the story.
Just like every other book by Quinn (because I’ve read every one) I was immediately sucked in and didn’t come up for air until I was done. Starting reading before bed and ended up staying awake finishing it until 3 AM! I loved TVP, but this one was even better! I was so excited when I heard that she was continuing Emberly and the guys’ story. And holy plot twist Batman!! Also, I have to say, I absolutely LOVE the budding relationship between Suneel’s mom and Emberly. Definitely a must read!!

I am so excited about this book! Loved the first book and this one even more. Just as many twists as the first book especially one huge betrayal I didn’t even see coming!! After finishing I had to go back and reread to make sure I had gotten it right. I kind of hope this isn’t really the end because I would love to see where this goes especially since there is now a new queen to look forward to.
Emberly and her guys are trying to figure out what it means to be a Gaurdian and how to navigate the politics in the castle. I liked learning along with Emberly, and seeing her grow more confident in herself. There are some twists that I wasn’t expecting, but were resolved rather quickly. I like the guys, but a couple times I sis want to shake them for being a little too overprotective. I think this is the conclusion to Emberly’s story, but I can hoping for more :)
Quinn Arthurs has done it again! This book will suck you in from the first page and won’t let go until the book is over. Quinn continues to develop a world, characters, and emotions that practically leap off the page. This is a wonderful continuation from “The Valkyrie’s Princes” which ties up all the loose ends we could possible want. I am thrilled with her writing and cannot wait for Quinn’s next book to come out!
This book picks up where the 1st ends. It is an amazing completion of this unique spin on Valkyries. I love the twists in the story that were unexpected, but made the story so much more interesting. This story focuses more on the story and the action then it goes on the sex times so if that is what you are looking for this is not for you. If you enjoy a good story political intrigue with a twist with a little romance on the side this book does not fail to deliver.
Such a pleasant single-day read. Non-explicit sex with all of her princes included. I was surprised by the group play but not disappointed. Jett and his kinks were a hot surprise :)
Emberly kicked ass, the princes honored their title of Mate, and the villain, evil plots, and forgotten truth were revealed. The villain, I was not expecting that but the story ended in a true HEA.
I would recommend the series but I wouldn't read it again.
Fantastic! First I was super excited that Quinn Arthurs has decided to continue this story, I thought it was just a freestanding book. I love Emberly and all of her men. Tesha is an amazing character as well. And holy twist I did not see that coming, you will have to read to find out! I love the world that was created and the characters are very well written.

I’m not sure if this is where the series will end or if Quinn has more planned, but this was a lovely addition. The characters as always made me laugh, touched my heart and got me 🔥! I enjoyed how the storyline played out and was shocked by a certain turn of events. Overall it was an entertaining and well written read.
Sooooo Valkyrie Princes was supposed to be a stand alone and I tried to be okay with it, but it was just so darn good and I absolutely loved all the characters so much. So you can imagine how freaking excited I was when it was announced there would be more. ❤️❤️❤️ I’m so in love with this story and I love Quinn anything she does is an auto buy for me
I've been waiting ages for the second book to come out and I'm a bit disappointed that everything happened so fast. But I'm still really happy to finely know what happened next. And for those who have read the first book it's definitely worth reading the 2nd.
Absolutely breathtaking! The transformation our hero makes in book two is admirable. The acceptance of who she is and courage to protect her loved ones above all else can't help but be remembered. The mystery of the past keeps you hungry for more. I couldn't put the book down. The ending to this was everything and more.
Anyone else get stressed out numerous time during this book? Just me? Okay. 😂 this book was AMAZING as always. Harper has a way of writing book that wisk you away to another world and you fall in love with all the characters. I’m sad this book is over as my heart wanted to know more! Such a good read!
Valkyrie's Queen is the second book in this I'd consider as a duet. It continues where the story left off last time with Emberly training to be a Guardian while trying to find records of her race. There was a twist that I wasn't expecting but overall, this was an enjoyable read and I love that I get to see a happy ever after for Emberly.
