The a2B Change Management Pocket Guide is a practical, hands-on guide built around the ten-step a2B Change Management Framework®. It is designed to support change practitioners delivering hands-on organisational change.
About the Book: The Pocket Guide supports a programme approach to organisational change, starting with ‘change definition’ (strategy alignment) and moving through to ‘closing and sustain’ the change. The ten-step a2BCMF® is supported by over thirty concepts, models, figures, assessments, tools, templates, checklists and plans, as well as a roadmap and glossary. It covers the key change concepts such as sponsorship, communications, readiness, resistance and adoption. The assessments provide valuable input on whether the team should progress from one critical a2BCMF® step to the next. The illustrations are presented in colour to enhance the readers experience and depiction understanding.
Who is this book for: All too often change management implementation fails to deliver the expected organisation benefits or gain employee adoption. The a2B Change Management Pocket Guide is targeted at all employees going through an organisational change. It will help them to understand why organisations need to change, why they need to learn new skills and behaviours and that becoming involved in shaping the change can be more fulfilling for them and their organisation. This guide is of particular interest to change practitioners, HR professionals, and project managers, including organisational managers and leaders.

Great Change Management Pocket Guide for change management professionals!
I bought the pocket guide after buying and reading Volume 1. I have just finished reading Volume 2 – a2B Change Management Pocket Guide and I’m really impressed.
It’s a neat and tidy little pocket guide, well structured with easy to follow implementation steps. It contains a change management framework, models, a roadmap, great depictions/figures/images, as well as key change concepts, assessments, tools, templates, checklists, plans and a glossary at the back. The pocket guide is different from most academic change books as it supports practical change management implementation. I really like the templates, time lines and supporting guides that help the change leader navigate through organisation change implementation.
Once again the Leadership of change includes a free gift for all buyers. This time its an on-line CHANGE HISTORY ASSESSMENT that will prove very useful when assessing previous organisational change history. Many thanks to the author for this.
I am convinced enough to buy a copy for each of my colleagues and I will propose that my next change sponsor buys a copy for each employee involved in their organisation’s change.
It is now released so I bought it quickly – it does what it says on the cover. I now have on my kindle app a fantastic change management pocket guide to help me implement change in my day-to-day job as a change practitioner.
The “ten-step a2B Change Management Framework® (a2BCMF®) is supported by over thirty concepts, models, figures (colour), assessments, tools, templates, checklists and plans, as well as a roadmap and glossary.”
The pocket guide has the key change concepts such as strategic alignment, sponsorship, communications, readiness, resistance, adoption and sustaining the change. The templates and assessment are particularly valuable as I will be able to make data-driven decisions about the moving from one change step to the next. BTW the on-line ’Change History Assessment’ is free to purchasers of the book.
I will be strongly advising all my team to buy one and will recommend that the leaders of the areas we are implementing change buy one for every single employee involved in the change – an investment that will return many dollars! Keep going Peter F, cannot wait for the next book ‘Leadership of Change Volume 3 – Leadership Solutions Handbook’.
Very Impressive High Quality Content Change Management Pocket Guide
This pocket guide is very well structured and easy to follow for any employee involved in organizational change management implementation or a major transformation. It provides over thirty concepts, models, figures, assessments, tools, templates, checklists, and plans, as well as a roadmap and glossary. The assessments also provide valuable input and guidance on whether the team should progress from one critical a2BCMF® step to the next. The ”a2B Change Management Pocket Guide" provides a straight forward approach to understanding how change affects people and organizations, then offer forms and techniques to mitigate the effects. The guide will help the main project and program team to understand the sponsorship, change resistance and communication of people or employees involved in change. It also stresses the need to align the change to the organization strategy and the importance of previous organizational change history (a free gift for buyers of the book). I have already bought a few copies for the students I mentor as it will also help them understand the practical side of change management when they are writing their thesis!
I first met Peter when he delivered a Lean Change Management Masterclass in Moscow, Russia to a group of 16 high potential leaders from Royal Dutch Shell. Even though he was troubleshooting and supporting other major projects and training in the UK, Kazakhstan, Norway, Philippines, Qatar, Nigeria and at HQ in Den Hague, he still took time out to call and coach me to successfully deliver business improvement into my organization. I attended a DIGIT conference in the UK where he was speaking on “The Leadership of Change – 10 Change Management Lessons Learned” a while back and he told me he was writing the volumes 1 - 3. He was a great coach to me and a organizational change management expert - so obviously I will be buying his books. He was always very clear that the main difference between a successful project and one that was less successful was organizational change management. He stressed the importance of aligning the change with the strategic portfolio, being aware of organization change capacity amount other key concepts which I am glad to see he has covered in the pocket guide. Indeed, the pocket guide provides over thirty invaluable and practical change management models, a change management framework, figures, assessments, tools, templates, checklists, a change and communication plan and a roadmap. It also includes a very useful glossary at the back with the key change management terms. The design and layout of the pocket guide is of a very high standard and all the depictions and illustrations are very clear. The assessments, tools, templates and plan are accompanied with an easy to follow guide with step by step easy instructions to follow. I bought both the Kindle (has color pictures) and then the paperback as I found myself explaining the concepts at stakeholder meetings by sharing the pocket guide around the meeting table. The pocket guide paperback sits on my desk and I have the kindle version on my phone, and both are used regularly while delivery my projects. The a2B Change Management Pocket Guide is an invaluable resource for anyone involved in organizational change, be it the leadership team, the sponsor, change practitioners, an employee or someone going on change management training. The online free gift has also proved useful in assessing previous organization change history and I look forward to buying volume 3 – Leadership Solutions Handbook…
I am a certified Scrum Master and Change Management Professional so this was an obvious buy especially after I read and reviewed Volume 1 – Fables.

*****Authoritative and Practical Change Management Pocket Guide***** As a change management practitioner, I find this pocket guide to be invaluable for quick reference in work on the client site especially explaining some of the concepts to the key stakeholders that I am engaging during change implementation. I have already used the change sponsorship assessment in what is usually a very difficult conversation but the section on sponsorship was extremely insightful and helpful. The guide explains clearly each assessment; ‘what it is” - ‘why use it’ - ‘when to use it’ – ‘how to use it’. The guide contains an excellent change management framework, over thirty concepts, models, figures, assessments, tools, templates, checklists and plans, roadmap and a nice little glossary at the back.
