What a way to finish!!!! Michelle knows just how to craft a story. This book will keep you on your toes all the way till the last page. Raven musg survive drinking from the grail if she wants to save her mom and Sage. Noah of course is always their by he side through it all. Of course thing never full goes as planned. Raven will be forced to do things she never wanted to do, but it may save them all in the end. Also make sure you check out the last page for the bonus epilogue for the next series you won't want to miss!!!

I have loved every book from this series and this was no different. I read this book so quickly in one sitting could not put it down! It was so easy to read. I'm not going to say anything about what happens in the story because I couldn't without giving spoilers. If you have read all the others you will not be disappointed by this book!

I can not wait to see what is in store for us in the Dark World.

I've loved the other books in this series and I was really excited to read this book, even though it's the final book in the series, which does make me sad! I was lucky enough to receive ARCs of the other books in this series and I received one for this book too! I had luckily just finished my current read, so I was able to read this one straightaway! After reading this book, I can say that it was the perfect conclusion to the series! It only took me a few sittings to read and the plot was developed brilliantly and had me desperate to read on and find out what was going to happen next! There was also a bit of romance in the plot, but it wasn't the main focus because there were bigger things going on! I did love that the romance was there because it developed further than I was expecting! There was some action in the plot too, which added a lot to it! The ending of this book also took me by surprise, but it worked to lead into the next prequel series! The characters were again amazing and made this book even better! Raven was again the main female character, and in this book she worked hard and had come such a long way from the girl introduced in the first book! Raven also kicked some serious ass and proved how far she had come and how much she cared about the people around her! Noah was again the love interest of Raven! There weren't any chapters written from Noah's point of view in this book, which was slightly disappointing, but he was still in the book a lot! He was also there for Raven and helped her and supported her! I loved that Noah was in this book and he did add a lot to it! I loved that this book was again written from a few different point of views! It was mainly written from Raven's point of view like the other books have been, but some chapters were written from Skylar, Sage, and Annika's point of views! I was expecting this because the other books have had several different point of views in them! I loved all the different point of views and they added to the story and made the plot interesting! It helped me connect with the characters more too! I'm really sad that this book is the final book in this series! I've loved this series a lot and each book has gotten better and better! I've also loved all the characters, so I'm sad that their story has ended! I do know that this author is going to release a sort of prequel series to this one and focus on a new storyline, which ties in with this series and will continue the story of a character that was introduced at the end of this book! I'm not sure when the release date for any of the books in that series will be, but I can't wait to read it once it does release and I hope that Raven and the other characters make some appearances in it! The cover for this book is also absolutely perfect for it! I love that it has the same cover model on it as the other covers and all the covers would draw me to check the books out and read the synopsises! Big thank you to Michelle for an ARC of The Angel Test!

After months of training, Raven is finally ready to compete in the Angel Trials. Having succeeded in the initial stages, she earns herself the right to drink from the Holy Grail which gives her Nephilim blood. Raven faces a moral dilemma however, when she discovers that in order to activate her Nephilim powers, she must kill Dr Foster, the witch who kept her along with the other gifted women in the bunker.

Before Raven has had a chance to activate her powers, Azriel appears, having used Kara’s abilities to locate Avalon. Now Raven must make a terrible choice and sacrifice one of their own in order to take on Azriel. Will she succeed in stopping the greater Demon for good and finally rescue her mother?

The Angel Test is the seventh and final instalment of the Angel Trials. While the book is told mostly from Raven’s point of view, there are a few chapters from Skylar and Annika as well as the welcome return of Sage. Raven’s true potential is finally unleashed as she undergoes the Angel Trials and finally comes face to face with Azriel. Half of the book seemed to be taken up with Raven’s training and her participation in the Trials that I did wonder how the author planned to wrap the series up. Following a certain incident however, matters were resolved quickly with the author (judging by the cliffhanger) even paving the way for her next series The Faerie Games.

This has been a thoroughly entertaining series and I was pleased that the author managed to tie up all the loose ends in a way that was satisfying. I look forward to reading further works by Ms Madow.

I received an advanced free audible copy of The Angel Trials which was narrated by Patricia Santomasso whose clear, concise delivery made it easy to differentiate between characters.

First of all, I just want to say thank you to Michelle Madow for giving me an ARC of this book to read in exchange for an honest review. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion.

The Angel Test is the seventh and final book in the Angel Trials series. Our story begins three months after the end of The Angel Secret. This series has been a roller coaster of cliffhangers, shocking twists and turns, thrilling action, supernatural characters, drama, excitement, and romance. A lot has changed for Raven since her birthday when her mom was kidnapped in The Angel Trials. I think The Angel Test was a fantastic conclusion to this series! I was excited to find out that there will be another spinoff series, The Faerie Games. I'm looking forward to reading it!

I don’t know how I read this entire series in 2 days without actually enjoying the books, but here we are. Maybe I was just trying to fill the urban fantasy hole left behind by Crescent City.

Light, fluffy, and at times overly cheesy. The series started off strong, but became dull over time as the author raced to finish it. Originally the characters were charming and relatable (a breath of fresh air in urban fantasy), but they, along with the plot, became boring and basic past the first 300 pages of the series.

All in all, I don’t think I was the intended audience for this book. Protag is 21 but this series is better suited for a 13/14 year old based on the maturity level of the writing and the low intensity plot.

This is my favorite book of the whole series! We met a lot of the characters in Ms. Madow's Vampire Wish series and that quickly sucked you in and you couldn't wait for more. Then came the Angel Trial's series. Every book gets better and better. It's a fast paced, thrilling adventure! All of the characters personalities fit together so well and the story flows so that when you are reading it feels like you are watching it all play out in front of you. Raven and Noah are definitely my favorite couple and even though this series is over, I know (hope) that we will get to see them again in the Faerie Games Series.

The Angel Test

I received a complimentary copy of this book and volunteered to review it.

Oh wow.
Raven is about to become a Nephilim but it’s not over yet. She still has to kill the demon that is threatening to overcome the world. Though safe with Noah and Thomas on Avalon, she has to make some decisions that make you cry in sadness for her.

I’m loving the interwoven connection to King Arthur that is written throughout that the reader sees comes to full fruition in this one.

Here we see Sage again and her actions are pretty badass leaving her with lots of responsibilities but plenty of satisfaction.

Although the last in this series, I’m hoping we’ll see Raven, Noah, Sage, and Thomas in the next series.

What a satisfying conclusion to this portion of the Dark World series! Another page-turner for sure. Can't wait for the next related series: Faerie Games. If you haven't read any of these in the Dark World collection, start with the Vampire Wish part of the series, then the Angel Trials portion. That way you have the full backstory. Michelle, is it too early to start asking when the first of the Faerie Games will be available??? :)

Wow, this series has been so good and I absolutely loved how it ended. This final book is simply amazing and I can't wait to read more of this world that is created in these books. It's a must read for all fans of the paranormal fiction. It has it all, action, adventure, romance, and a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you get more and more involved in these characters. You won't be able to get enough of this. I loved it!

Such a fitting end to this portion of the Saga! I'm desperately trying to think about what I can say that wont be a spoiler! There was so much that happened. So much amazing content. So many questions answered. There were also a few questions left open ended to tease us for the next set of stories.

Sentimental tear jerker. Wonderful characters. Delightful conclusion to this portion of the story. But still a long way to go before the demons are, hopefully, vanquished. I enjoyed it and how that you do as well.

I received a copy of this book as a gift. This is my honest review.

This series, this book took my breath away. I couldn’t get enough of Raven and Noah’s story, and when it came to end, I felt sad. It was as if I was saying goodbye to longtime friends. I have been read MICHELLE MADOW books since I came across her in 2012. Since then I have read and own most of her books, I even got some friends into her books. I loved all her books so far, however THE ANGEL TRIALS has been my favorite, at least so far. I fell in love with the series from the first book, and more I read, the more I got pulled into the story. THE ANGEL TEST fit the final book perfectly and it was another book that I had to force myself to put down, and it made me wish I didn’t have finals or I would read it more then I had. Through this series, I felt as most of my characters became my friends, especially Raven, Noah. The Angel Trials is a series that is impossible to fall in love with. Once you reach the ending, you will find yourself thinking about it, and wonder what is going to happen next. I couldn’t seem to get it out of my mind.

Raven and Noah were my favorite through the series. Those two been through so much, and it seemed that something always seemed get in their way of being together. I was rooting for the two of them from the start. It was clear how much the two of them loved each other. That ending, it fit the two of them perfectly, and I was smiling because I was so happy for the two of them. I know it is end of this series, but I couldn’t help but wonder what is in the store for the two of them next. Considering that Raven wasn’t the only one that had changed. So far, the two of them were my favorite couple, and I can’t help but wonder what will happen with them next. I loved that there were Annika point of view here as well, who was my favorite character from THE VAMPIRE WISH . I was happy for her and Jacen, they are an amazing example of true love. That ending, I couldn’t help but smile at that ending, but then how could I not. Despite being an ending of the series, I felt that there was another twist there. That is one of things that I love about MICHELLE MADOW novels, she always has you craving for more. I know already that this will be a series that I will end up re-reading in the future.

Fantasy. Adventure. Romance. Twists. How can you not want to read this book. Plus have you seen the covers? They are astonishing. I am hooked and cannot wait to see what is in store in next series THE FAERIE GAMES , and I am already wishing that it was end of August. If you love a young adult fantasy with twist, you should check this series out today.

Review:

Protagonist: Over the course of the previous six installments Raven has come so far from that scared human with missing memories she was at the beginning of the series. After months of training, she's finally ready to take on the Angel Trials and become the first human to turn into a Nephilim on Avalon. I've always loved the character of Raven and watching her grow in this series has been fantastic and this installment did a lot to honor how far she's come, both physically and emotionally.

Romance: So, at this point in the series the romance has sort of lost a lot of its excitement. Don't get me wrong, I love the romances that are featured in this installment, and with it being a finale there are a lot of milestones that are covered in this book. However, a lot of things felt like added fluff and felt more like fanservice than compelling, which isn't bad, but how some of the romances ended up was a little too neat and tidy for me.

World-Building: With this being the final installment in this season, there's a lot that needs to be shown and answered for. Overall, I felt this installment did a fantastic job of balancing new information, showing off returning characters *cough* Camelia *cough*, and setting the stage for where the series will go from here. In terms of how this world is expanded, well, it's not much. Instead, there are breadcrumbs that lead to the future and larger picture of this Dark World series.

Predictability: Going into this installment I had a very different idea as to how this story would be paced, instead, things kind of go out the window and all of a sudden other things are happening and I'm sitting there entrapped by the story wondering what will happen next. Seriously there are some great twists in this book. However, I will say that sometimes how everything pans out feels just a bit too convenient, and so sometimes, rarely it's almost as if I can see behind the curtain and I get pulled out of the story for a bit. It's never hard to jump back in, bit getting knocked out of the story can hit hard.

Ending: Going into this installment I didn't know how Madow was going to wrap this series up in one more installment. However, things actually "ended" earlier than I had expected. In fact, I really enjoyed how the author managed to really make the ending of this story feel like one battle in a much larger war. This is only the end of the second Dark World "season," sorry that term still sounds weird to use, and there are going to be like six or something so much like the Vampire Wish season sort of opened up this new world, the end of this story really starts to map out and tease where things will go after this battle.

Rating:

While I really enjoyed this installment and found it to be a great finale to this series, I did start to get a bit burnt out on the romance and while this book doesn't have a ton, some of what it does have felt superfluous, nevertheless I am absolutely pumped for The Faerie Games!

The Angel Test was a very fitting title to this finale in the “Dark World- The Angel Trials Series
The storyline started at a pace and just got faster and faster as Raven cranked up Her strength of determination to complete these dangerous trials. As the danger to her life gets more and more challenging all Noah & her friends can do is watch. Until the last one. Then more than Ravens life is at risk. I won’t give any spoilers. In the meantime Ravens Mom is made to betray her, jeopardising everything Raven & Noah have worked towards along with the entire mystical island of Avalon being put at risk. Sage is Still under Azazel’s power & the end is nearing for both the world and Ravens chance at becoming a Nephilim. Michelle Madow once again has given us Fantastic Characters, Riveting Descriptions which is sure to please fans of the fantasy genre. This storyline has been a fight from the very beginning. It’s been a journey that we have followed with anticipation, dread and fear. We became invested in the happiness of our main MC’s, cried when they was sad, watched them fall in love and laughed when they was happy, but mainly with every challenge we was there fighting alongside them. I will miss these characters, Michelle Madow once again made us care, she cleverly interwove characters from her previous series, and I hope with the ending of The Angel Test that at sometime in the future we may hear from some of them again.

The book is cotton candy

Really the entire series is cotton candy: spun sugar with zero nutritional value.

But even your most uptight human craves and enjoys fluff on occasion. Blue cotton candy at the fair is delightful. Cotton candy as part of a well-balanced diet, not so much.

It’s not winning any awards any time soon. If it does, DM me for my hate mail PO Box. Honestly, this is the loosest, lightest interpretation of urban fantasy I’ve maybe ever read, but ok.

Did I mention I two starred the first book, but kept reading the whole damn series? I did. The author probably hates me. Why dislike a book, but continues reading?

It’s back to that cotton candy analogy. The series arguably isn’t great, but it’s an easily digested hero’s journey. It’s empty calories, but I totally ate every bite. The fast pacing takes you on an adventure with the most sickly sweet happy ending. Ewww.

I hate that it worked, but the jokes on me, because it did. Thank the gods for Kindle Unlimited.

An excellent conclusion to this series with satisfaction insured! Besides answering all the questions, it also gives us a clue as to what to expect in the next two series to come in Dark World, and it's looking good!

It's hard not to jump straight to the next series and find out how it's going to play out. Luckily I have it all ready to roll! The books in the series so far are all easy to read, short and enjoyable, tho some plots are easily predicted, but there are still some surprises awaiting.

Those who like to read books about humans being thrust into a supernatural world and have to work along with Angels, Werewolves and Witches to fight Demons, please read this series. You may start with the previous series, the Vampire Wish, followed by this series and then The Faerie Games series and lastly, The Dragon Twins series.

At last Raven is ready to take the final test and hopefully become a Nephilim. All she has to do is run the final course and then drink angel blood to become a Nephilim. Easy - Yes? Obviously it sounds easy, but will it be? Everyone else who had done this had died from drinking the angel blood. She had to do this to save her mother and Sage who were being held by Azazel, the greater demon. If she passed this test, then she would have to kill a supernatural creature to gain her new Nephilim powers. Then she needed to kill Azazel. Again - easy. Or is it? Things with Raven never seem to go according to plan, so what was going to stuff up?

This was a really satisfying end! I wish I hadn’t already read the next series because it would’ve been really exciting going into it from this one. Didn’t realize it was a continuation at the time, but finishing this up reminded me of some things that I had forgotten about from the next series. As far as the series as a whole (and in relation to the other two), I have to say that I think Raven was my least favorite mc. I didn’t mind her exactly but I feel like I liked the vampire and subsequently fae stories more than this shifter/angel/nephilim one. Still good though and I’m happy to be officially on track with the happenings of this world!
