Niks fantasie, dacht Louisa. Er gebeuren hier vreemde dingen en er zijn maar twee verklaringen mogelijk: óf ik ben gek, óf het spookt hier.

Louisa wordt drie maanden uit logeren gestuurd bij haar oom en tante, die in een oud, statig landhuis wonen. Zodra Louisa aankomt, gebeuren er vreemde dingen: Louisa krijgt, gewoon overdag, griezelige droombeelden van mensen die ze niet kent en beelden van gebeurtenissen. Steeds meer en steeds heftiger. En haar oom en tanten lijken ook niet zo blij met haar komst.

Langzaamaan begint Louisa een verband te ontdekken tussen de droombeelden. Ze vermoedt dat er in het verleden iets vreselijks is gebeurd. Maar juist als ze op het punt staat de puzzel op te lossen, krijgt ze ruzie met Alex, haar enige vriend in deze vreemde omgeving...

Stephen Paul Lambert Mary Elizabeth (Paul) van Loon (Geleen, April 17, 1955) is a Dutch children's author and singer of self-described 'children's book band' Paul van Loon & Andere Snuiters. The main body of his work consists of horror stories aimed at younger audiences. An avid reader of 'adult' horror authors as H.P. Lovecraft even when he was young, he felt there was not enough in the genre aimed at children. His most well-known works are the series 'Dolfje Weerwolfje' (Dolfje the Werewolf) and 'De Griezelbus' (The Horrorbus). Van Loon has been writing for over 25 years and has written over 100 books. His work has been the basis for 3 films and 2 television series.
His books are not only sold in the Dutch-speaking Netherlands and Belgium, but are also available in other countries including Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Spain and Japan.

Ho letto "Improvvisamente ho avuto gli occhi azzurri" per la prima volta da bambina, e da allora è uno di quei libri che ogni tanto torno a sfogliare con un pizzico di nostalgia.
A mio avviso, è fatto davvero molto bene. Nonostante sia pensato per un pubblico più giovane, credo fermamente che abbia una profondità e un'autenticità che lo rendono adatto a lettori di tutte le età.
Lo consiglio assolutamente!

Paul van Loon, autore del brivido per i giovanissimi, propone un romanzo dai capitoli brevi e ricchi di colpi di scena, un'avventura estiva tra fantasmi e misteri del passato da ricostruire. Lo stile del testo è semplice e presenta espressioni colloquiali e slang vicine agli adolescenti (almeno a quelli dell'uscita del libro, 1992) e tra un una visione, due zii inquietanti e e un po' di magia, l'autore lascia a spazio a temi più profondi come bullismo, razzismo e alcolismo, lasciando anche ai lettori più giovani uno spazio di riflessione su come si possa essere persone migliori.

Ich habe das Buch als Kind gelesen und fand die Geschichte damals schon super. Sie zieht sich nicht über hunderte von Seiten in die Länge, ist nicht mega tiefgründig, sondern erzählt auf 156 Seiten Louisa's Erlebnisse bei ihrer Tante und ihrem Onkel, sowie den merkwürdigen Geschehnissen rund um die Villa in der sie wohnen. Ich habe es auch als Erwachsene erneut gerne gelesen. Ein gelungenes Kinderbuch.

Amusant, maar enigszins voorspelbaar kinderboek.

Louisa komt bij twee vreemde familieleden terecht als haar vader op reis moet, maar ze ontmoet gelukkig ook een nieuwe vriend. Toch klopt er iets niet in het huis waar ze nu woont...

Sfeervolle illustraties, leuke personages en een goede spanningsboog, maar wel een tikje voorspelbaar. Jeugdsentiment. :)
