There is no pixie dust in faerie...

In faerie The Hunt is the top of the food chain, and me? I'm the head of the viper, or so they tell me. But that's a lie. Something is rising, a dread, a fear that cannot be named, and I'm about to dive right into the thick of it. Now, if only I can get the guys and The Hunt to work together then maybe we can all come out of this unscathed.

Join Eva and the guys as they adjust to life in faerie in this sequel novella to the For the Blood Series.

This was disjointed ... the MC is now immortal and is now changing , her morals and priorities are now not just her men, it’s to her hunt. It’s an interesting change ... but it really really needed to be longer to delve deeper into this aspect of the book, how the MC changing - it morphs the relationships and changes the entire dynamic of the last couple of books.

Stupid annoying pointless story. I thought this would be more a HEA glimpse but instead it worked to prove the characters are really not suited to one another. Not to mention how much it’s harped on the heroine is no longer herself. She’s the Hunt the Hunt is her, emotions are secondary. And then out of nowhere she adds to her harem from the Hunt. I just don’t get it all lol 🤷🏼‍♀️

I loved how Eva's inner conflict was described. And her guys and the hunt added to her conflict. But it was a nice conclusion for the question: what happens to Eva and her guys after the apocalypse is prevented?
I needed this conclusion. It was a short book (87 pages) but answered my questions.

Well I finished it. Not a lot to say it's 88 pages long. I liked the eagles. The author added a new member to the harem, which is stupid in such a short book. This world has gotten so crazy that I'm lost on what she is, who's who and what type of book this was supposed to be.

Being an immortal is changing Eva, dividing her between her men and the Hunt. She is even more irked by Caister's behavior, acting as if she was incapable of leading the Hunt.Only a mortal threat to Alaron, the Faerie, and the Hunt itself, makes her see the truth, accept who she is, and unite the divided halves of her self - all the while bringing an interesting and attractive addition to her company :))
I loved this fast-paced novella, an epilogue to the whole For the Blood series so to say, showing more of the life Eva now leads in the new world, with a new identity. Being with the Hunt is not easy, especially when she does not feel any respect, acceptance, or camaraderie from them. Yet being herself, she breaks the ice, reconnects with her lovers, and solves a problem in the last minute, all the while being the old Eva we loved and showing the new sparks of her immortal personality. I absolutely love the intersections of the world buildings across the series by this author, how it all clicks together, making it even more real, making the reader realize it is one complex world developing and revealing its history. Amazing read!

Kindle Unlimited.

There is nothing dystopian about this installment. It takes place in Faerie, with Fae problems, and Fae magic solutions. I see that this is a link between this series and the author's other works.

I liked getting a glimpse into Eva's new life, even if it felt a little rushed (hello, novella) and unnatural since we've only seen the characters in a end-of-world crisis before.

lovely novella from a favorite group

Spice: 3/5

A great quick story that shows us Eva and her guys learning to live as the hunt with the Fae. Fun read with good action

Nice ending to a nice series.

I liked this brief ending, but felt like this could be explored properly in a full book, instead of rushed like this in a 100 pages epilogue.

At the end of it all I think my fav guy is still Logan, followed by Elias.

This one of my favorite Debbie Cassidy series.

I was left a bit disappointed after the end of the third book, but only because I wanted more!! This story definitely delivered on that front (although I'd love even more of these characters).

I always enjoy DC, and this is a great little snack for a fan of the series.

I was so excited to learn that we would get a novella about Eva and the guys and how they are dealing with her being a goddess of The Hunt. I also don't think this is the last we will see of them either. This was a quick great read for any fan of Eva and her rag tag band of men.

I loved this quick book and new look into what was happening with Eva, her guys and The Hunt! I loved that Debbie did not leave this story line going after the last book. This book really shows that struggle that Eva is having trying to keep who she is and to be with her guys, but at the same time needing to lead and own The Hunt! Debbie Cassidy is so talented and once again I was dragged into a book that was impossible to but it down - highly recommended!

This is an overall review for the series!

It started off strong, I liked Eva and her strength, skills, and her loyalty to Tobias. Then it kinda went downhill the longer it went on.
Just more guys being added and more plot separate from the main goal, which was okay but felt very rushed, especially the relationships. The only ones I felt she had real chemistry with was Ash and they never even spoke. I liked Sage and Logan as well, but the rest felt so forced with minimal time together especially Caister. I was unsurprised about Tobias but nonetheless v disappointed, her entire reason for the whole journey was to save him and his *spoiler* death was so abrupt and brushed off.
Noah was also never mentioned again, another lowkey disappointment.
And the whole the Hunt thing, it felt so random and sudden. Honestly the entire last book was so rushed, random plots, random sex scenes, not even to mention a fully dubcon one with her and Caister literally being mind controlled into having sex while a perv masturbates to them. Fucked up but brushed off and never talked about again. Like, what?!

I get that not every fantasy RH must end in a HEA but I feel kinda let down and unhappy with the ending. It felt very unfinished and like a lead up to another book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

This is my review for the whole series.
I have to say for a series with four books, this felt very short and the size of the last book disappointed me immensely. The plot felt rushed, I did not like Eva and I feel that the characters have not been developed enough. Eva needed more growth to be a proper MC, the guys are all mostly a mystery (what we know about them: they were created in a lab, they shared a female once and they all have the hots for Eva). I wanted to see more of Noah, get a better insight into Jace and why he is such a push-over, find out what happened to the owner of the Vladul DNA, and how the heck did Franklin get to the idea of raising Eva in the chaos that was the outside world instead of the safe bunker.
So many unanswered questions...
Comparing this to the Chronicle universe, this is sub-par in both the plot and character development.
But if one likes the idea of "a virus makes the population go wild and kill those that are not infected" and wants a story that one can read in one sitting, then go for it.

This is a Novella and is a follow-up to the For The Blood series of books which need to be read in order prior to reading this

I absolutely love the fact that Debbie Cassidy listens to the fans in her Face Book group who wanted to know more about Eva and her guys new life in Faerie - This Novella finishes off the series perfectly. Its well written with a strong storey and grips you from the first page so that you literally cant put it down until you have completely finished it.

The storey shows Eva's transformation and how it affects her guys along wit her complex relationship with the Hunt. There is a certain amount of dark humour, tension and heat. I absolutely loved every moment of this book.

I also really love the fact that true fans would have picked up that this takes place in the same world as her Heart of Darkness series of books.

Totally amazing series!!!!

This series is amazing! Eva and her guys have been sent to the Fae realm, as she was made into the Goddess of the Hunt. She is afraid of losing herself to the Hunt and forgetting those she loves, but the guys intend to be her tether and not let her forget. Will they be enough? Will the Hunt ever truly be hers to command if she only has one foot in their world?

In this book, a taint has fallen over the deaths they have been reaping and the Queen herself sends Eva, the Hunt and her men to find out what has happened to a small village where nobody returns that is sent to investigate, including the winter king.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers. This book is great as is everything Debbie Cassidy writes. My only sadness is that this is the last book and I gobbled it up too fast! On to the next adventure!!

I just love Debbie Cassidy and her mind!! I really have loved every single one of her series, so when we get glimpse of them again I snatch it up. For the Blood series is so good.

Eva was made into the Goddess of the Hunt, so she was sent to the Fae realm with her guys. She is having to struggle with making sure all of her guys get her attention. Also struggling with being Goddess of the Hunt. The guys are there to help her, and seeing how they treat her just endures them to me. They have her back and she needs to just figure out how to get a balance between everything.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers. But as usual with a Debbie Cassidy book you will enjoy this short, and be impatient for the next great thing she writes.

Worst thing about reading a series, you can't stop reading until you finish the final book. Best thing... same reasons!

I loved this whole series, so different to the Nightwatch Academy but also some similarities in the histories.

I was disappointed that one character from the main series did not crossover into this novella - despite resigning myself there was a chance it may happen. It was frustrating and disheartening as his (& Eva's) feelings were realised before Eva re-emerged as the Master of the Hunt. One could also hasten a guess, Eva returned his feelings after that one enlightened dream they all shared in "For the Reign".

As some may choose to glance over this review, I'll hide the character so not to spoil the fun.

I love that we get to read a novella about this crew! I was really excited to read how their lives were after Eva took on her role in The Hunt. We were warned that she would struggle and it was heart wrenching and heartwarming to see her fight and rise above. This short little glimpse was perfect. I wish it was more, but it was still amazing. There was so much packed into this novella! Not to mention the crossover! Oh I am so looking forward to reading more, other series are starting to tie into each other and I can’t wait !! Debbie Cassidy does it again and kept me enthralled from the very first page(Oh you know what I am talking about!).

This is a novella but incomplete story for Eva imo

When I went into “book” 4 I had no idea it’d be a novella with only 87 pages. When finishing this book I don’t feel like Eva’s story is anywhere near over and yet it appears this is the last book in Eva’s story? Why? I don’t like when series get me hooked and then don’t tie up the overall story. I get there’s another series to piggyback this but what about Eva and her men?? What about her learning to be this person? What about everything else idk. It seemed a bit sudden. Overall I really enjoyed the series though, I just want more.

It was great to be back in this world, even for a short while. This novella showed us a glimpse of how things are progressing with the two aspects of Eva’s life. Sometimes things don’t go smoothly, and only until they must all work together to stop a threat will things get better. Well-written, an interesting plot, and great characters made this novella a fun interlude. This is a must for fans of the series. Don’t start here, however, if you haven’t read the others in the series. Start at the beginning for a great time! Highly recommend! I received a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I do enjoy a good bonus story to an amazing series that I wish hadn't ended so soon. 'For the Hunt' delivers with giving us more our our lady and her men and what is a new adventure and threat. Under 100 pages, 'For the Hunt' delivers a well rounded story meant to be a bonus adventure in the over timeline.
If you loved the 'For the Blood" series, you'll quite enjoy this add-on. If you have not read any of the 'For The Blood' full-length novels in the series, definitely pick those up and read them first to know what is going on before you dive into this baby.

This novella made me so happy because we got a peek into what happened to Eva and her men after she became The Hunt. She was struggling with keeping the balance in her life and of course, new drama unfolds. The author packed some juicy tidbits and action in this story. This is definitely a must read to get the scoop on what is happening. I hope this isn't the last we see of these fantastic characters and world.

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

For the Hunt is a novella that must be read after the first three books of the For the Blood series. After how the third book ended I was eager to see what Eva and her guys’ new life looked like and this novella gives us that. The story is a short, quick read but is perfectly balanced between action and romance, complete with steam. As usual, I am impressed by this author’s knowledge of folklore and how she weaves it into her original worlds, tying together different series and characters.

For The Hunt - For The Blood Book 4

Book 4 in this series is amazing. The story continues with Eva and the Hunt taking on a mission from the Fey Queen. Familiar characters and a mystery that needs solving highlight their quest. Can Eva and her entourage save a Fey City from an unknown force? What is this unknown force? Will everyone come out of this conflict. Happy reading. Well written and highly enjoyable fantasy world with very interesting characters.

Wonderful Continuation

It's a really awesome fantastical continuation of the For the Blood series. A new threat is on our group, and our girl has to come to terms with who she is becoming. I almost wish this was a sequel trilogy so we can get more, but it has a great story and pace.

This novella is a great addition to this fab series! Well written we have insight into Eva’s life and her guys as they adjust to life in faerie, to the troubles they face, to the danger, the suspense and action! As with the other books I got lost into this world and the story and it is just fantastic!

Fabulous addition to the series, well-written action, adventure, intrigue, and chemistry. Our favorites are back, and adjusting to their new reality. This quick read gives you an insight as to how they are coping with their roles. I loved it. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

Too short for me

I would have liked a longer book. I felt the danger was fixed way too quickly, no real back story or battle happened . They just left and nothing was resolved. I would have liked some action, a built of tension and it kind of felt like a bit of a let down compared to the other books. I think the story was rushed and it showed in how the book was written
