It was a nightmare. She couldn't believe it when she checked on her baby in the middle of the night just to find her gone! Although the police in her large Texas town were doing their best to search for the baby, they had limited manpower and couldn't cover everywhere. Emma wanted them to search an area where her family used to camp believing her daughter could be there but the police couldn't spread themselves that thin. So Emma went there to search for herself. Getting help from park ranger, Matt Thompson, she was thrilled when she found a clue. Will they find her baby before the traffickers sell her?

The motive behind the kidnapping was painful but it's scary to think it could happen to any family. As Emma and Matt search for Christina, their feelings grow. But this is NOT the time for romance. Finding the baby and keeping her safe is the most important thing for them right now.

I liked how independent Emma was. After losing her fiancee and finding out she was pregnant, she learned all about independence. Her baby was her world. She loved her to distraction. Matt was easy to like. He was logical, controlled and determined to keep Emma and Christina safe. His heart was enormous! This man who didn't want to have feelings for Emma couldn't help himself.

I highly recommend this action-packed romance.

Threats from the very start of the second Rangers of Big Bend story grabbed my attention, and the chance for more jeopardy continued to grow. My concern over what might occur kept me reading, and the desperation felt by a distraught mother had me feeling empathy. Lara Lacombe had me believing the many situations that her main characters had to face, as details and motivations are clearly described. RANGER’S BABY RESCUE has dangerous exploits, relatable characters, and a wide range of emotions.

After a tragic incident, the young daughter of Emma Foster brings her joy and makes each day brighter. But when Christina disappears one night, the determined mom plans to make sure the child comes back to her. Though the police in her large Texas town are helpful, Emma thinks the Big Bend area is where the search should be concentrated, and Matt Thompson, a park ranger, ends up assisting her in the quest to find the baby. As the two look for any clues, some surprising developments arise.

With danger always a possibility, my worry for Emma, little Christina, and Matt never diminished. Having a child taken would be truly terrible, and the circumstances in this story make the facts surrounding the abduction even more shocking. Any time something dangerous takes place, I feared for the safety of characters whom I quickly came to really like. Events become even more perilous as the story progresses, and I never knew how things would conclude because of so many uncertain factors. Lara Lacombe definitely kept me guessing.

Emma and Matt have both been hurt by painful past events, and each has their personal reasons for being wary about getting into a relationship. Locating the little girl and making sure she remains safe is their goal, and their frame of mind related to this venture makes these two vulnerable when it comes to how they actually feel toward one another. As discussions are held and views become known, Emma and Matt will have plenty of decisions to make. Lara Lacombe kept me intrigued on every page.

I voluntarily reviewed the book, and all comments are my honest opinion - Rating: 4.5 Stars

Ranger’s Baby Rescue
Lara Lacombe

Strong characters, Emma had to be, intense feelings, betrayal of the worst kind, and shelter in the storm in the form of Matt make ingredients for a spine tingling read from cover to cover.
Once again Lara Lacombe has created a story that shows how evil can invade your life which causes you to dig deep to get the courage and resolve to defeat the evil.
Couldn’t put it down until the end.

Having your child kidnapped in the middle of the night is any mother’s worst nightmare. Emma woke up and just thought something was off. She checked all of her doors, and they were still locked. She didn’t want to wake her baby, but knew she wouldn’t sleep until she saw for herself that her daughter was safe. She was horrified to find that her daughter was not in her crib. After calling the police, she set out to search for her baby. I think any mother would do the same thing. She had a hunch that her baby had been taken to an area that she and her family used to camp. Park ranger Matt Thompson agreed to help her search for her baby girl. I loved the bond that grew between Emma and Matt. Emma wasn’t a damsel in distress. I loved how independent she was throughout the book. She would have taken on a whole gang off thugs to get her baby back. You just don’t mess with a mama bear. I loved this action-packed book.

Emma Foster's baby daughter is taken from her crib in the middle of the night. Emma tragically lost her fiancé before she knew she was pregnant and little Christina is her sole responsibility. When she finds out who took her she has a hunch where he might be hiding her. Park ranger Matt Thompson reluctantly helps her search in Big Bend Park. Once he begins the search he is all in to find the baby and help her beautiful mom.

Once again Lara Lacombe has introduced characters who must work together to save a child.

4.75. The thing I really liked was that male wasn't an alpha jerk. The thing I didn't like was the main character didn't think the dude wanted to be with her and her child because he didn't want to be with his last girlfriend because she had a child ( a child she lied about and said it was his when it wasn't) like duh
