Victoria DeLuis is a short story author and novelist, who loves reading – everything – and writing paranormal cosy mysteries, light urban fantasy, supernatural romantic suspense, and the occasional sci-fi.
She was born and raised in South Wales, where she still lives with her husband, daughter, three overlord cats and a doting dog. This offers her a rich heritage and mythology to use in her stories.
This is the complete four books series in one package. Convenient for devouring on sight.
This was a fun series. The stories are well written and mostly easy to read. I found the bits of Welsh folklore woven into the stories to be fascinating, but at the same time the names can be something of a mouthful to wrap your brain around. The characters were well developed and quite enjoyable, with a stable couple and a smart and tough female lead. The plots involved some good mysteries with plenty of action and intrigue making the entire series engaging. Overall, I rather enjoyed these books and look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended.

Four connected novellas about Rune Witch (Ogham not Norse) Summer and her beloved Thomas. Each story has a small mystery that is it’s own plot, but they’re all part of an overarching story surrounding a mystery involving Summer’s past. With a diverse cast of characters, and some interesting magic, this has a rather unique take on a magical universe, and is steeped in Welsh mythology and folklore.
An enjoyable read for urban fantasy fans, and paranormal mystery lovers.
A very good read. This series will suck you right in and you’ll want to continue reading no matter how late it is or how early you have to get up. I look forward to more with these characters I’ll also read others from the author.
Not usually the type of books I read, but I thought I would give them a go - And I am really glad that I did. I will definitely read more books by this recommended author

This boxset was so good that I hope there is more to the stories because I am hooked. I admit I am only on the third book but I really love Summer and all the things she is enduring line being a private investigator, a witch and oh she's cursed did I forget that, but the books are so good and the story pulls you in from the very first paragraph and keeps you hooked.

A decent series taking inspiration from the paranormal/urban fantasy of the Kelley Armstrong kind and mixing it with witchy Welsh mythology.
Summer Daniels is your kick-arse feisty heroine, but in a nice twist she isn't on the prowl. She has a long-term partner in the steadfastly loyal Thomas, and together they investigate the magical goings on around Cardiff. But before long, Summer learns a terrible truth about her family and how it may be tied to fae magics that will only bring misery and heartache. It may even be why her beloved Nana died... Between solving kidnappings and hunting down murderers, they'll have to delve deep into the legends of the lands to find out just how one breaks a faery curse...
It's fun in an urban fantasy way, but shallow in terms of world building. Think TV episodes rather than full-on fantasy novels. Be forewarned if you like your paranormal mysteries: that mystery/PI element does vanish after book 2 as it becomes more focused on characters' backstories and magic. If you don't mind that and want some bite-sized stories that aren't set in the USA or full of (unclean) romance, you may well enjoy this one.
A fun series, with the bonus of having the whole set available to read at one sitting. I have always enjoyed DeLuis' books and this one is a good read. Weaving Welsh myths and fantastic creatures gives her stories an interesting edge, along with the action and romance.
This wonderful set of books kept me reading until I had finished them all. I so enjoyed reading the antics of Summer and Thomas and their friends and family. Enchanting reading.
I read them all in one weekend, the 4 stories are all fast reads. I loved how the mysteries had fantasy elements and mythology, too. The writing style was good and the plot kept me interested throughout the books.
