This Christmas, the villagers of Middledip are off on a very Swiss adventure…

Family means everything to Lily and Zinnia Cortez and, growing up in their non-conventional family unit, they and their two mums couldn’t have been closer.

So it’s a bolt out of the blue when Lily finds her father wasn’t the anonymous one-night stand she’s always believed. She is in fact the result of her mum's reckless affair with a married man.

Confused, but determined to discover her true roots, Lily sets out to find the family she’s never known – an adventure that takes her from the frosted, thatched cottages of Middledip to the snow-capped mountains of Switzerland, via a Christmas market or two along the way…

While I'm waiting for the snow that is forecast for later in the week, I've been re-reading Let It Snow by one of my very favorite authors, Sue Moorcroft. Published earlier this year and set during the holidays, now is the perfect time to read this delightful tale.

For Lily, family is everything. She has two loving moms and a sister, Zinnia who have been her world. Told that her birth father was a one night stand, Lily is shocked to discover he actually was married at the time and more than just a fling her mother had one night. Now Lily is determined to find her father on a journey that will take her to our favorite Moorcroft town, Middledip, and on a road trip to Switzerland for a holiday market and more.

There always IS more with a Moorcroft book which is why I adore her so very much. Secondary story lines often become my favorite parts of her stories and this one is no different. While there is a romance, of course, the romance isn't the primary focus of the book - Lily's journey of discovery, the tangled family webs that go with blended families and the "fall out" from finding siblings no one knew of until adulthood. With creative writing, well developed characters and a road trip through Europe, Moorcroft has, once again, created people and places that are unforgettable.

When the weather outside is frightful....

you can do no better than curling up with a fabulous festive Sue Moorcroft book, and Let It Snow is just that.

And The Fire is so delightful...

... so is everything about this book, from the picturesque setting, to the family dynamics, the friendships, the potential romance, the snow, and just the way it all made me feel, utterly delightful.

And Since We've No Place To Go....

... not true at all for Lily and the rest of the Middletones, where we get to see their entire trip to Switzerland which was my favourite part of the book. I loved everything about Switzerland. the Christmas markets, the singing that the Middletones did, the cuckoo clocks, all the snow, and getting to know a couple of very key people out there.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

.. what an apt title for a book that certainly does feature a large amount of snow. Doggo who had to be one of my favourite characters, loved chasing around in the snow, and I enjoyed the teenagers who couldn't resist taking part in snow ball fights. Not to mention that Let It Snow was one of the more popular tunes of the group, and thus I had it running in my head a lot!

Man it doesn't show signs of stoppin'

... the pace doesn't let up in this book, there are so many different storylines in play, romantic tensions, and there is the non stop will Lily or won't Lily reveal her true identity to her half brothers.

And I brought me some corn for poppin

... plenty of delicious food mentions, between the pub that Lily and Isaac are working in to the delights in Switzerland.

The lights are turned way down low

... Well there were some darker times as you get to grips with just why Lily is in Middledip to start with, and what her decision is doing to her family. And Isaac certainly has a tough time of it when his ex, Hayley becomes rather prominent, but not in the way you may be thinking.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

.. As I have been trying to say, I loved every single moment of this book, it is Sue Moorcroft at her best, its warm and cosy, the whole of the Switzerland section was fabulous, and its always great to be back in Middledip. This easily stands alone with plenty of brand new characters to get to know, and I loved all the various threads of story involved.

Really what I should just be saying is

Buy it now... buy it now... read it now!!

Thank you to Avon on Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

A very pretty cover with an okay story. I liked how it's not just a Christmas story, there are much deeper stories too. I could follow Lily and Isaac's story the best the rest was a little boring. 3.5 stars

Sue Moorcroft has done it again! She has created a world that seems to exist in real life. Her characters are so well developed, they became friends and I miss them, now that I am finished reading. The town of Middledip is always nice to return to and meet more of its villagers.
Lily and her sister Zinnia were raised in a non-conventional family by two mums. They have always known that Zinnia’s father was an anonymous donor at a sperm bank. Lily was told that she was the result of a one-night stand. It becomes known that was not the case and Lily then searched for two brothers that she did not know of. Once found, she wrestles with the action of telling them who she is, or keeping it to herself.
There are several other themes running throughout. Lily finds herself working part-time/temporarily for a pub with a temporary boss, Isaac. Both of them are not lifelong members of the community, but they find it their home for the moment. Both are dealing with issues and at a cross road of their lives. They are attracted to each other, but Isaac has a rule to not date co-workers. Will he break that rule?
Isaac proves to be a gem of a man when he steps in to help in situations others would run from. His Dalmatian, Doggo is a spark of love to this story.
I especially loved reading about traveling from Middledip to Switzerland. It is a journey I will never do in my life, but I feel a bit like I did travel there, by reading this wonderful story.
Sue Moorcroft mixes many things in her books, some series situations, some funny scenes and always rounds it all up with caring and love. I enjoyed this story so much and I hope other reader will pick it up.
Thank you to Avon Books UK and NetGalley for allowing me the pleasure of reading Let It Snow! This review is my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC.

This book left me confused for a bit. The narrative sounded more like a travelogue than a novel. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed the travelling part great deal than the story wrapped around it.'Let it Snow' stroked in me the fire to travel which had been dulled for some time now. Through Moorcroft's efficient writing Scotland with all its pristine beauty and festival traditions has come alive and I was rather tempted to book a ticket right away. Well, that is part of my bucket list now.
Now to the story. Lily and Zinnia are part of a homosexual family unit and now Lily has found out the identity of her father with whom her mother had an affair only for getting pregnant. Yes, this sounds flat even to my ears and surely her partner is not that forgiving. But they have weathered this storm somehow and now Lily wants to meet the rest of her biological family including her two brothers. She takes a job as the serving staff in the pub operated by one of her half brothers, Tubb. But even after two years, she is not confident enough to reveal who she really is. And that is taking its toll on everyone.
Zinnia, her sister, accuses her of not being happy with their family and regretfully I agree with her. What is the need to tarnish another man's memory by bringing up this affair now? Especially when he is thought to be a besotting father. However Lily argues her case, I partly blame her for the fractures inside her first family. And that has ruined the romance for me. I am no expert in the complexities of human emotions and therefore don't want to judge Lily's motives. Still, I can't help feeling let down. Does the author intend to convey the incompleteness of homosexual families?

A cosy Christmas romance that isn't …

Lily Cortez and her sister haven't had the most conventional of childhoods having two mums, but she is shocked to discover that her father wasn't an anonymous donor or even a one-night stand as she had always believed but a man that her biological mother had an affair with. Trying to connect with her siblings she moves to Middledip where her half-brother Harrison Tubb (Tubb the pub) owns the village pub. Working part-time at the pub while starting her own fledgling career designing exhibition stands, she enjoys village life and getting to know her brother, even if she hasn't plucked up the courage to let Tubb know their connection.

When Tubb has a heart attack he hires a temporary landlord, Isaac, to run the pub while he recuperates with his brother Garrick in Switzerland, coincidentally Garrick works for a Swiss company which sells British foodstuffs and his company has invited Lily to design an exhibition stand for their products at some Christmas Fairs in Switzerland, Lily has managed to persuade them that having the local village signing group singing Christmas songs will add an authentic British air to the stand and is busy making travel plans for the group to drive to Switzerland.

This has got everything you would expect from a Sue Moorcroft Christmas novel: carols, turkey, snowballs, romance, dogs, a village pub, tinsel and a bit of angst to leaven the sweetness. I thoroughly enjoyed the Middletones trip to Switzerland, the drama of village life and the burgeoning romance between Isaac and Lily.

Recommended for fans of charming Christmas novels set in small English villages, road trips and Dalmatian dogs.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Bumped for release.

Lily Cortez finds out, by accident, that her real father has just died. Growing up with her sister Zinnia in a two-mum’s household, she’d always assumed her father was a donor but it appears her mother, Roma, had a fling which her mum Patsie, wasn’t best pleased about. To try and establish links with her “other” family, Lily moves to Middledip to work in the pub her half-brother Tubb runs. But when he takes a sabbatical to Switzerland, in order to recuperate from a heart attack, Lily finds herself smitten with new bar manager Isaac though, as always in a Sue Moorcroft novel, things don’t run smoothly.
I liked this a great deal - Lily is a fantastic character and her interplay with Isaac is nicely handled, as is her friendship with Carola (from “The Little Village Christmas”). It’s always great fun to spend time in Middledip (and revisit a lot of characters from Sue’s previous books) and, this time, the action moves further afield as a big chunk of the novel is set in Switzerland at Christmas, when snow is all around. The pacing is spot on, the characters and atmosphere and perfectly realised and there’s a well-maintained suspense to the will-they-won’t-they. Highly recommended.

A presto Fenici.

So why is it that I love Sue Moorcroft’s books so much? First of all, there’s the world she creates – and this story begins in Middledip, drawing in the many readers who’ve read her earlier books (but never excluding those who haven’t yet had the pleasure of visiting), introducing a few characters regular readers will recognise, revisiting some familiar locations. This time much of the early action is focused on the pub, The Three Fishes, where Isaac is the relief manager while Tubb is away in Switzerland, and Lily (for reasons that soon become clear) works both behind the bar and in the restaurant.

And that pub setting brings in something else about her writing that I always enjoy, her meticulous research and the way she uses it to bring a setting to life – from the preparations for Christmas and interactions with the customers to the realities of a publican’s life, both at the Three Fishes and the failed glitzy bar that Isaac used to run.

The reasons why Lily is in Middledip provide an original and very different background storyline – her unconventional parents (two mothers – and the whole idea so well handled), her need to find the rest of her family, her close relationship with “sister” Zinnia rarely without its fireworks or larger explosions. Sue Moorcroft’s books always have an edge of something a little darker, an unexpected complication (or several) – but always perfectly judged, the story-telling never losing its lightness, always focused on the convincing developing romance at the story’s heart, never without a splash of humour. There’s always a happy ending, once the many obstacles that arise have been overcome – but I really enjoy that extra touch of depth and complexity, always realistically handled.

Her characters are always excellent – in this book, both Lily and Isaac won my heart (and that happy ending was a long time coming, and often in considerable doubt). But I very much liked the supporting cast too – Isaac’s family as well as Lily’s (his mother particularly well drawn), the threat from his former girlfriend (and the unexpected way in which it was developed), every single member of the singing group individually drawn with their own dramas and concerns. And then there’s the wonderful Doggo, Isaac’s dalmatian – should you ever doubt that a dog can be a fully rounded character, he’s the proof you’ve been looking for, and an absolute joy with his every intervention.

But if it’s Christmas you’re looking for… well, once the action moves to Switzerland, you couldn’t really ask for more. Again, the author’s research comes strongly to the fore – coming after a road trip through which you live every moment, the descriptions are just stunning. The scenery, the markets, the food, the music, the cuckoo clocks, and all that snow – I’ve never been, but she certainly involves all the senses as she brings the setting so vividly and perfectly to life.

There’s the world of work too, wholly successfully woven in – the convention, the stand for the promotion of British food that Lily helped to design, the question marks about the future direction of her life. And Switzerland really is the perfect backdrop against which to develop her relationship with Isaac, and to work through some of those complex family issues, with a perfect balance of joy and heartbreak.

This book was excellent – more than enough Christmas content for the most ardent fan of the festive season, a wholly satisfying romance, but also an excellent and well-developed story, superbly told in Sue Moorcroft’s unique style. Highly recommended by me… I thoroughly enjoyed it.

After enjoying Sue Moorcroft’s latest Christmas story I decided to listen to some of her previous books and this felt like the perfect book to end my 20 Books For Christmas journey on.

When Lily’s world is rocked by a family revelation she decides to hunt down the family she never knew she had. This causes her to up roots and set them down in Middledip where she works for her half brother, without telling him who she really is. Skip on a couple of years and no one has a clue about Lily’s hidden identity and she intends to keep it that way, much to the annoyance of her sister Zinnia.

I found the family relationships fascinating in this book and loved how Sue Moorcroft explored every avenue. We had the jokey older brothers, arguing sisters and parents at their wits end, as well as single mothers and same sex relationships. Family were very much at the heart of this story and showed how complicated but lovely families can be.

We also had the quiet and serious but equally handsome Isaac to keep Lily on her toes and lets not forget Doggo! It’s safe to say that there was plenty of action and drama in this story which kept me interested as a reader. I loved the cosy Christmas traditions and the trip to Switzerland was beautifully described. I could imagine myself there amongst the markets listening to the Middledip choir singing away.

A brilliant story to end the festive season on!

Come along for a peek at a British view of Christmas and snow with side trips to Switzerland where Lily and the Middletones, a motley crew of adults and teens, really experience snow with accumulated depth. They embark on a trip that displays the musical talents of the informal singing group as well as Lily’s work as an exhibition artist at a Swiss Christmas Market in Sue Moorcroft’s Let It Snow.

There are lots of complex relationships to watch develop. The back story is critical as Lily and Zinnia are sisters with two “mums,” Patsie and Roma, a situation that caused them grief from classmates as children and later from other adults. Zinnia’s biological father was an anonymous sperm donor, but Lily discovers as an adult that her conception was the result of a heterosexual affair between her mother and a much older man. Her desire to meet her other family upsets both her mothers and her sister, and she is fearful of how her brothers will respond to meeting her. Lily’s family situation gets tied into the pub she works at part time and her business endeavors in Switzerland. Lily has a romantic entanglement with Isaac, the temporary manager of the pub. Their relationship gets complicated when Isaac’s ex re-enters the picture.

I enjoyed watching the intermingling of lives and surprising conflicts that prove to make the story even more interesting. Moorcroft is a master of enticement with setting and mood. I really wanted to be at that Swiss Christmas Market with expensive cuckoo clocks and chocolates. I had visions of hot chocolate, bratwurst, and fondue (but not all at the same time) transferring to my tastebuds. When Lily stood up for herself, I was proud. When she was in physical or emotional pain, I felt for her. Lots of good outcomes make for a happy conclusion, but this tale is close enough to life that not everyone experiences a fairytale ending.

An added bonus to this story is the inclusion of some excitable kids—it is Christmas, after all. An equally enthusiastic Dalmatian named Doggo accompanies his humans to Switzerland and is quite accommodating to whatever adventures come his way.

I would like to extend my thanks to netgalley.com and to Avon Books (U.K.) for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a wonderful book. I’ve avoid Sue Moorcroft books for a little while because I keep seeing them described as “emotional”, and I try to avoid too much emotion in my books. However, this one particularly appealed to me, so I took a chance. I’m so glad I did!

The book is very well written. All the characters are well rounded out, no one seems two dimensional, even the minor characters. I loved every part of the plot, and it seemed much more like real life than a lot of the escapist romance books I read, BUT without being miserable!

I really, really appreciated seeing ME/CFS (which I have) being shown as a real and serious disease. It was written about in a realistic and compassionate way, and some of the impact it has on both the sufferer and those who love them shown. It was honestly so wonderful and refreshing, so thank you to Sue Moorcroft!

I could tell that this book is part of a series set it the same village, but it works very well as a stand alone too. I really enjoyed the central romance, and the way things kept getting in the way was very lifelike.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for some Christmas romance in a village atmosphere. I will be catching up on Sue Moorcroft’s back catalogue and looking out for new books!

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was very excited to read this book but unfortunately it wasn't for me. Right from the beginning til the end, I found myself a bit bored. Not much is happening in this book and even thought the characters are all very nice and interesting, I wasn't drawn to them. But it's not because I was a little bit disappointed in this book that you will be! I can see that many other readers loved it, so hopefully you will love it too!

With her marriage over, Lily is back in Middledip.

It's such a joy to pick up a Sue Moorcroft book and know that you're in for a treat as a reader. Let It Snow is the latest in a delightful series of books set in Middledip (with a wander off to Switzerland too) that is just perfect for a wintry afternoon, curled up in front of the fire.

Let It Snow has all the elements I've come to expect from this author. There's a smashing storyline, this time with quite a dark aspect to it too, that is very satisfying. The settings are vividly drawn and transport the reader through brilliant use of the senses, so that reading Let It Snow is a surprisingly immersive experience. Music, food, scenery and so on create a landscape that is visual and multi dimensional. I especially enjoyed the aspects of the story set in Switzerland.

I love Sue Moorcroft's skill in featuring many characters without them becoming extraneous or insubstantial. Each person in this story, Lily and Isaac especially, is a rounded and real person which makes Let It Snow feel as if the reader is observing and involved in the action and not just reading about it. With prejudice still so rife in our society, it was wonderful to have a lesbian relationship between Roma and Patsie that felt normal and natural, without being idealised or preachy. Their life is presented with its flaws and insecurities exactly like any heterosexual partnership which I found refreshing and appealing.

I thoroughly enjoyed the blossoming romance - and it's frustrations - between Isaac and Lily. Sue Moorcroft has a deft touch at writing romantic scenes that is so realistic that the reader enjoys every moment. Through their developing relationship Sue Moorcroft provides so much more for a reader to enjoy, to ponder and to reflect upon. Our sense of identity, of loyalty, of independence are all thoroughly explored so that I wasn't always certain quite how the narrative might resolve itself. And whilst Let It Snow is a perfect example of what might be called women's fiction or uplit, it offers much more besides and I enjoyed it all the more because of its themes of family, work and relationships.

In Let It Snow, Sue Moorcroft has proven once again that she is a force to be reckoned with in writing this kind of fiction. I'm not normally keen on author endorsements for one another, but the quotation on the cover of Let It Snow really does sum up the book. Debbie Johnson is quite right. 'Sue Moorcroft's books really do have it all' and Let It Snow is no exception.

Lily never met her father. But now she wants to find out more about her origins – and her half-siblings in Switzerland. How is she supposed to do that for her job at the Middledip pub? Now, before Christmas, it´s busy. And Isaac, her handsome boss, needs her. A trip by the Middledip Choir to the Christmas market in the Swiss mountains comes in handy. But Lily´s adventure threatens to slide into chaos. And why can´t she get Isaac out of her head, who finally makes her heart beat faster again after many years? A Christmas party awaits Lily that can change everything. (personal translation by ©Vi at Inkvotary).

Lily wants to get to know her halfsiblings. That is the reason why she is working in a pub. Her boss is one of her half-brothers. But when is the right moment to tell them the truth? To let them know that she exists and wants nothing but their friendship? When Isaac, her new boos steps into her life, Lily starts to realize that things can be quite complicated and easy at the same time. Sounds confusing? Well, it is, and it is not.

Sue Moorcroft combines some great characters, a wonderful plot, and a beautiful scenery (both in England and Switzerland) into a fantastic novel that I could hardly put aside. No cheesy things here, but lots of emotions and a main character to teach you a lesson or two. All in all, in an easy-to-read writing style and some beautiful traditions.

Lily is an independent woman with an annoying sister, and two mothers. Something new and the perfect addition to the story. Gives this book the perfect touch. As one of her mother’s is not happy with the fact that Lily wants to know more about the father she never knew. And want to get to know her half-siblings who are out there somewhere. Her inner conflict to find them and to keep the right balance between her own family and her new one is shown by Sue Moorcroft in a very sensitive and wonderful way.

If you are looking for a novel that will bring you into the Christmas mood, this one is a perfect choice. Highly recommended.

In Let It Snow by Sue Moorcroft, we meet Lily, a woman with a loving family. Growing up she was often ridiculed as she lived in an unconventional family with two moms and a sister, Zinnia. Her world is rocked when she finds out that her birth father was a married man with two children and more than the one night stand she was always told. Determined to find her father and his family, she heads to Middledip and eventually on a road trip to Switzerland. Things do not go well, first, Lily meets her older brother and gets a job working in his pub. She doesn't tell him who she is, but finds out about her father and brother. When the opportunity arises to drive a teenage band, The Middletones, to perform in the Christmas markets of Switzerland, she agrees to take them, but ends up with a seriously injured arm, so her friend and co-worker offers to be the driver. Zinnia blames her for their mothers splitting up, so when she leaves they are not speaking. With a full van of teenagers and instruments, a dalmatian and a man she is attracted to, they head off.

One think I always expect from Sue Moorcroft is a book with some meat to it, issues that are realistic and relatable and lots of emotions. I really enjoyed the characters in this book, the setting, the snowy activities, the relationships and the food. With Lily on a journey of discovery, there is a lot of fun, and some romance. Of course there has to be some angst that occurs when Lily's brothers find out who she is and that the man they thought was perfect was not. Isaac was an amazing character, giving up what he wanted to care for someone from his past that needed him. His dalmatian, Doggo, was a hoot. He added some comic relief and cozy feelings to some of the more tense moments. Will Isaac and Lily get together? Will Lily and her brothers be able to have a relationship? What is going to happen to Lily, Zinnia and their mother's relationships? This is a wonderful story steeped in Winter and Christmas fun that I recommend.

*I voluntarily reviewed this book via Netgalley.

With her signature style, Sue Moorcroft has created a wonderful world of Christmas markets, new friendships, and possible romance, all topped off with loveable characters that will feel like best friends by the end.

Lily and Zinnia have always known that their parentage wasn't traditional but when Lily discovers the truth about her father and soon realises that she may have more family out there in this world, it changes her mindset and she is determined to uncover the truth. From the gorgeous, community-centred Middledip to the wild beauty of Switzerland, can Lily find what she is looking for? And is love a possibility with someone close to home?

LET IT SNOW by Sue Moorcroft blew me away with its stunning descriptions and I felt the scenes come alive around me as I read which is no easy feat for a writer. The characters are fresh and engaging and there is never a dull moment in this story as I was swept along with Lily as she discovered more about herself as well as her family. There is magic, love, high emotions, and everything you could possibly wish for in LET IT SNOW and I had to fight the urge to climb up into the attic and take down the Christmas tree as this story really got me into the perfect festive mood.

LET IT SNOW by Sue Moorcroft is excellent in every way and as always I will be on tenterhooks waiting for the next novel from one of my favourite authors.

Recipe for a perfect Christmas read (also known as my review!)

Take one familiar and well loved village (Middledip)

Add a cosy village pub (The Three Fishes)

Ensure that your heroine (Lily) is down to earth, likeable but not without some pretty big secrets

Pre-heat the boss (That'll be Isaac!)

Dollop in a lovable Dalmatian called Doggo

Add a generous helping of romance

Whisk in some simmering attraction

Stir in some difficult family situations

Carefully blend through some serious issues

Throw in a trip to Switzerland Coat the mountains with a generous dusting of snow

Sprinkle in some Swiss chalets and twinkling fairy lights

Combine with Christmas markets and delicious sounding food and drink

Add a little Christmas adventure

Mix in more than a hint of spice

Blend together carefully

Don't forget to sing a few Christmas carols and songs as you wait for the mix to mature

Best enjoyed before the end of December

Verdict? Another fabulous book from Sue Moorcroft. A delicious treat of a book to be savoured this festive season.

I enjoyed the book but it took me awhile to get into the story. Lily discovers the truth about her father and then the book fast forwards two years. I kept wondering if I missed something or if the book was the second in a series. It was a little confusing, Lily would talk about stuff that happened during the previous two years. Once the characters finally made it to Switzerland I loved the book. Zinnia was the worst part of the book. I hated how she treated her sister and blamed her for their moms' relationship issues. She was a horrible sister. Absolutely LOVED Isaac. He stepped up when Hayley needed him. Lily and Isaac's issues could have easily been solved if they actually talked to each other. So much miscommunication. Doggo the Dalmatian was and added bonus.

Definitely recommend the book. It's a great winter read, with a bit of romance and wonderful descriptions of Switzerland.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Avon Books UK through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I don't want to appear negative, but I didn't enjoy this book ☹

I'v seen a lot read books by this Author and really love them so pls don't judge before you try. I'm glad I was gifted it and got the chance to read it for myself 😍.

It's not that I don't like a love story, because I do. I'm actually a little romantic at heart 💙
What I wasn't keen on was the constant introduction to new characters (even in the epilogue)
The plot wasn't amazing either, and I felt some things were thrown in to give it some depth! I would have rathered it concentrate on the romance than that to be honest.
I enjoyed the prologue! And thought the family unit of Rosa, Patsie, Zinnia and Lily was going to be a lovely one to read about, but it didn't do it for me which is a shame.

This was the first Christmas book I've read this season and what a wonderful way to start the festive period. It has all the elements you might expect - a winter wonderland in Switzerland, Christmas carols, a Christmas market and a slow-burning romance that will melt the snow by the end. Underlying the festivities though is the serious problem of Lily trying to discover her roots and things not going quite to plan. I enjoyed reading about her non-conventional family ( which actually is becoming more conventional today) and the relationship between her, her mums and her 'sister'. The descriptions of the winter scenery really set the scene for the book and are sure to put you in a Christmassy mood.

I am a huge Sue Moorcroft fan and the Middledip books are my favourite (there is even a map of Middledip on her website). So I looked forward to a Chistmassy read.
Sue has come up trumps again!
With well rounded characters and believable story line, the story centres around Lily who comes to Middledip to find her half brother, Tubbs, the landlord of the Three Fishes pub. She works part time in the pub to supplement her new business in events management.
She gets a contract in Switzerland promoting a British food company and arranges for the Middletones singing group to join her promotion during the run up to Christmas.
So we have family problems, Christmas run up in Switzerland, snow. Throw in Isaac, the temporary landlord at the pub and a satisfying story evolves.
Thank you #Netgalley for the ARC for an honest review
