Finding Landon and escaping the murder cabin? Done. Practicing her magic to fight the crazy death priest? In progress. Dealing with her growing feelings towards her mates? …easier said than done.
The terror haunting the Crystal Lake pack has been unmasked thanks to Addie’s hybrid heritage. Not only is she part wolf, but she also hails from a powerful bloodline. If only her magic would be enough to stop Clay.
The threat to the pack lingers, and Addie starts to realize this is where she’s meant to be. In Crystal Lake, with her three mates—the twins, Maze and Dylan, and the standoffish Landon. Her attraction to them is something she never thought she’d feel, and that says nothing about the pull she feels toward Forest, the pack’s alpha.
Her wolf wants to give in. The only question is who will she give into first?
Addie will have to figure it out, because it’s not just her heart on the line. Each and every life in Crystal Lake is threatened by Clay, and with her magic, she just might be the only one who can stop him.
Undying is the second in a magical, action-packed shifter trilogy, where the heroine will not have to choose between her love interests. This is a slow-burn, new adult novel, with a villain you’ll love to hate.
Hey guys! I'm a writer, an office worker, a wife, a mother to two dogs and two cats, and half of a strange pair of young adults who flip the houses they're living in with the goal of having no mortgage (so that I can eventually focus on my writing career!). Needless to say, I'm busy.
Still, I somehow find time to write, to read, and to enjoy life. Wish there were more hours in the day, really!
If you're active on Goodreads and have similar interests, friend me. I don't bite. Or if you'd rather follow my reviews, you can do that, too.
This complete series (three books + novella) is incredible. It's plot heavy, character driven, and oh so good to read from start to finish.
The characters: - Addie - FMC, half wolf shifter, half witch - Maze - the sexy playful flirty twin - Dylan - the sexy nerdy more serious twin with glasses - Forest - sexy pack alpha
The plot: Addie finds out her mother has hidden the truth of who and what she is when her grandfather shows up to take her to the pack. From there she ends up falling into a trap that was two decades in the making. The big bad is the stuff of horrors.
This series has everything that makes paranormal romances a perfect guilty pleasure. Throw in the fact that this is a series that is also reverse harem and you have a page turning series that won't let go.
The fact that it's slow burn and when reading one can feel the chemistry between the characters sizzling on the page leads to a whole heap of anticipation only adds to the series appeal.
Highly recommend for anyone who loves paranormal romance, reverse harem, or fans of shifter or werewolf hotness.
So this is book 2 of this series and needs to read in order. Slow burn. Fantastic story so far. I'm hoping the steam picks up in next book. Especially with Forest. He sounds so yummy. Great story line. This author is phenomenal with her stories. Definitely cannot wait to read next book. Hopefully it comes out soon.
Hmmm the first book I enjoyed but this book was an ok read for me. I did like this book but there were certain parts that bothered me. This is book 2 of the Crystal Lake Pack series and I still love Addie but some of the other character’s actions were questionable. For instance, Addie’s mom calling her daughter a slut when she knew how the pack works with multiple guys to one girl. Calling your daughter a slut because she’s attracted to the alpha? That made me dislike her mother a bit. For someone who’s as old as that, her actions were childish. Moving onto one of the guys in Addie’s harem, Landon. Now in book 1 I didn’t like him because he was an ass and I thought that after Addie rescued him, he’d change his attitude towards her a bit. He was still an ass in this book to her, the hot and cold thing is getting old. I really liked the other guys in her harem though! I really hope Landon changes his attitude because he’s still on my shit list. I also find the other characters a bit weaker than Addie because of near the end when nobody stopped her and couldn’t do anything to help. For a whole pack of wolves, no one could do anything against the attack besides letting a young girl who can’t shift and can barely use her magic to save everyone? Anyways besides all that, I will be reading the next book to find out what happens to Addie.
This is an amazing addition to an already pretty awesome series. This story is so unique with the death priest and the 7 warlocks. There was so much that had happened in this book but still so many unanswered questions and mysteries. Like who Clay’s master is? Where is Addie’s father? What is the deal about unlocking the nature of the beast? How did Jack end up in Clay’s hands (I am pretty sure I know who is he but I don’t want to spoil it yet). There is just so much happening!!! So I need the next book like now, but I must wait 🙁
The relationships with Addie and her 3 intended mates have taken another small step forward (this is an agonizing slow burn of a book but I’m sure it will be worth it eventually). Plus she may have another mate in the works, which I am the most excited about because Forest was my favorite in book 1 and is still my favorite after this book!!!
Now to talk about Clay... the way the author describes him physically is so morbid and grotesque but the whole dark evil vibe he adds to the story is perfect. If the big bad Villian looked like just any regular ol shifter, human, or witch, then I think it would take away too much drama and anticipation for the reader and it will just be another stereotypical shifter story.
The author did a magnificent job creating this world, and the storyline. Nothing felt rushed or lacked detail. You can tell that the author has truly taken her time with this to produce a quality story for her readers. I cannot wait to continue this series. Candace has quickly became one of my new favorite authors!!
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*** OMG! I am obsessed with this series! I have fallen in love with the characters and cannot wait to ready the next book in the series. I love how different Addie's men are! They all so different with their personalities but I love them all. However, I would have to say Landon and Forest are my favorite. Forest being number one. He is all mine ladies! Addie is very determined when it comes to getting her way and she goes above and beyond to keep the ones she cares about safe. Instead of letting the pack fight, she was courageous enough to not want that to happen and put herself in danger. I was expecting a little more fight out of the wolves when Addie was leaving especially from Forest. Overall, I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I am wondering if her father will come to help and if that creates more danger.
This book was a marvellous follow on for limitless. It gripped me and pulled me in from the first chapter! You learn so much more about the characters and their stories. You fall even more in love with their personalities and quirks as they take you on the journey with the Crystal Lake Pack. The suspense and the mystery definitely keep you guessing throughout the book - waiting for something epic to happen, and Candace truly didn’t disappoint! The descriptions really make your imagination flare, putting you right there in the magical world with Addie and her family. The romance and passion that is building between Addie and her guys is slow building but it gets hotter and hotter towards the end. I think When they finally unite it will be explosive!! I’d definitely recommend this book, another amazing world and story by Candace. Can’t wait for the next one!
Gah! Such a good series so far. This is a slow burn RH. There were a few things I was hoping to have answers for that we didn't get but I know waiting will mean it is going to be good. I had one complaint. It feels like Addie still has the mindset of a high schooler when it comes to getting in trouble for making certain decisions or even whether it's ok for her to be in a relationship. All this is regardless of her being 19 and having been away at college. It felt like she needed some maturity to fit that age of the character, even just a bit. Most that have been to college realize they make their own decisions for their life but Addie just bows to her mom's will and criticisms. It felt less realistic to me. Overall, an excellent read. Freakin' cliffhanger though!
I can not stand Sarah, Addies mom. She comes barreling back when Addie doesn’t call her. Ok I’m supposed to believe that this heroine is supposed to be an adult, but when her mom has to run to find her, and then tries to drag her to the car. It’s just annoying as all hell.
Addie is still annoying sometimes especially when she thinks about Forest. I really dislike how she says he was supposed to be her moms mate and he’s older when everything points to them having a connection.
Addie is also annoyingly naive and really gets her reality check at the end. This one DOES end in a cliffhanger place to me.
I am interested in where this goes, but omg her mom is annoying and the internal monologing is incessant and annoying because it needs to be more broken up with dialogue.
I really hope that Forest and Addie become a thing. And the others too.
I couldn't finish this fast enough, especially the last few chapters. This book picks up where the last one left off. Addie has just discover more about her parents and what that means for her going forth. While trying to work on herself, she finds her relationships with the guys growing stronger and deeper. The romance with the guys starts heating up towards the end of this book with suprising revelations. The end is just the beginning of a new chapter for Addie. I can't wait to continue my journey with Addie and the guys in the next book.
Such a fantastic follow on from Limitless!!! I'm loving how this story is flowing and I love being on the rollercoaster along with Addie!!! Candace is such a talented author!!! This book series just won't let you stop reading! I swear you will read the whole book in one! I liked that we got to know the characters a little better in this one and see more into their lives as a pack! Its a Slow burn rh but it's getting hot!!! And I know everyone agrees with me that that is definitely mostly to do with Forest!!
I feel like the author didn't develop Addie's relationships much in that second book. The way I felt it, her mates were barely present in the story, she had very little one-one-ones with them, we barely know their story. It's as if Addie doesn't have time for them. As for Jack, he's like kind of forgotten as well... Hopefully, we will get to know more about them later on.
The book focused more on how to defeat the bad guy, but I still enjoyed reading this book and will definitely read the next one!
What a fantastic follow-up to the release of Limitless! Undying hooks you from the very first page and keeps you captivated throughout the entirety of the book! I have a love/hate relationship with the build-up Candace creates, it’s written so well and a fantastic story like but sometimes a girl just wants to know the answer, I’m impatient like that! Love the second book and eagerly awaiting the next release!
What an amazing second book I absolutely loved it. Addie relationship with her mates is only growing stronger and can’t wait to see what happen between them but then again the change in her relationship with Forest OMG. Addie mother has final told her about her father and has tried to help her with he magic. I can’t wait to find out what happens next to them all.the author has done an amazing job with the second book can’t wait for the next book
I wasn't expecting an amazing unique storyline from the series. To be honest it was the ‘bad guy’ that put me off the series. I feel like we don’t know enough about him, his motive and goals, and without that I know that he will be dealt with in the final book and we will get a HEA. The only two things that might help me to read the final book are; (1) mysterious father fitting into the main characters life,(2) the romance.
What a powerful and moving story! Eddie's story is just getting better and is picking up pace even more. There is so much sexual tension, you could probably cut it with a knife, but you most definitely will want to yell at a character or two. I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
This was an exciting read I couldn't get enough of it, the characters, the bad guy, the drama. I have to say I was sad when it ended and I can not wait for the next one. Candace is an amazing and wonderful author. I don't know what else to say read her book you will love it I know I did.
This second book is still at a slower pace like the first. Very descriptive and sometimes takes away from where the story is going. It is interesting enough to continue and finish, but found myself fast forwarding to some if not most parts and not miss a beat on what was going on as a whole.
Brilliant series! Loving reading this. Addie has found the pack. Her preplanned mates and is slowly trying to fit in, to learn their ways. Unfortuately is hard with the alpha of the pack looking at her at all times and the death priest lurking about. This is a brilliant read. Cant wait to get started on the next
This book was so compelling to read. The dynamics between Addie and the pack, the way we slowly find out more about who she really is and how we watch her powers grow. But, the danger is still looming and Addie isn't about to let others take the fall for something she can prevent. I can't wait to read the final book!!
I’m really trying with this series. I really like the storyline and most of the characters but the female MC drives me nuts. She is so immature. And the mother doesn’t help either. She is so confronting for the sake of being confronting. These two really do ruin what could have been an awesome book. Oh well - I can’t leave a series 1/2 done - only coz of the guys - onto book 3.
This was such a great read. I loved the story, so original. The guys are all great in their own ways and I love Addie learning more about herself. The last third of the book was unputdownable. Slow burn, but there's some tension filled moments in this one.
This is a slow burn RH. Book two starts to pick up a little steam and a lot of questions are answered but not all. I like all the characters and want to see what happens! If you like shifters and magic than this is probably the book for you.
Addie is learning more about her parents. Her magic Nd getting closer to her guys. All while trying to find a way to defeat Clay. This book has amazing character growth and the story keeps you intrigued. A must read.
Holy crap that was intense. Addie and her mate's, trying to figure out her powers before Clay returns. Thrust into a war she had no idea was brewing. Addie has the decision to save the whole pack from Clay's wrath.
This book has everything I need in a story. It's got a sassy heroine, banter and sarcasm galore, plus not one, not two, not even three, but four hot love interests. And it also provides a steady stream of action. I love it so much.
This is a good story and I definitely want to see what happens in the next book, but this is not one of my favourite books and the style of writing can get annoying as the main character keeps repeating herself.
This book has really drawn me in. The differences between the guys who want her is amazing. I often think of punching Landon. Forest is an enigma. Her mom deserves a smack. I definitely need to know what happens next
Great continuation of the story but that ending about killed me! I need to know what happens. Will her dad come save the day? Ugh....I need the next book soon.
