Rate this book

Have you ever wondered why it’s so easy to talk with some people and not with others? It’s simple—you speak the same language! This doesn’t mean that you both speak English or have a similar dialect. It means that you connect with them on some level.

In selling, building trusting relationships is all about understanding people who are different from you and being flexible enough in your communication skills to relate to them. This is a learned skill! In The Language of Sales, veteran sales professionals Tom Hopkins and Andrew Eilers teach you the nuances of how to effectively and powerfully communicate with buyers, associates, and loved ones to build long-term relationships.

• Make the most of communication with the proper vocabulary

• Improve relationships through the written word

• Read (and speak) between the lines with body language skills

• Use the language of sales to overcome objections and close more sales

• Self-motivate with powerful internal communication

If you’re dedicated to a lifelong career in the wonderful world of selling, why not master the skills to make it your dream job? What could be better than helping more client benefit from your products and services through more powerful communication skills?

Good fundamentals. That’s all and that’s the key. Unglamorous? Sure. But what I’m coming to realize is the unglamorous seems to be popping up in every success book I read. Key takeaways:

1)learn to be solution oriented, not challenge confined.
2) become a student of sales
3) Work on my self esteem.

Hidden within.

The language inside of you speaks for the prepared readiness process you have been revealed to. It is in the internal communication that I continue to say that 'The Language of Sales' is sympathetic and empathetic to know how you feel and know from the the other persons shoes. Sales trainer Tom and Author Andy have done it before and is rewritten again the process of what it takes to show this original arrangement for your conversation on Success and Sales. Thanks for the both of your deserving insight. Great read!

Good pointers on how to conduct internal communications, and how to read the room and customers body language when conveying sales pitch. There were no "aw ha" moments when reading the book and other reviewers here have said the book is unglamorous. They are completely right, but sometimes that is completely acceptable in order to ingrain in a messages basics. Someone experience with sales think would be bored by this book, but somebody new think this would be acceptable book to skim through.

Nothing new, seemed like a bunch of cliches and platitudes. It could be a decent introductory text for someone everything sales. Unnecessary religious references do not help. Overall, I didn't learn anything new.
