Introduction:
Greetings, fellow readers! I'm Kiba Snowpaw, the frosty alpha wolf from the wintry world of HowlStrom. Today, I'll take you on an icy adventure into the untamed pages of "Bloodlands #2" by Daniel Pierce. Brace yourselves for an epic ride through this post-apocalyptic world filled with undead, action, and survival.

Basic Plot Summary:
"Bloodlands #2" picks up the story of Turner West, a man with a mission. After vanquishing the vampire lord Silas in the first book, Turner hoped to create a sanctuary for his people and loved ones. But the land has other plans in store. New undead threats have emerged, and a sinister force has awakened—one that thirsts for blood. Armed with his companions, his trusty knife, and unyielding determination, Turner faces a danger more formidable than anything he's encountered before. Nature itself has become a weapon, and survival won't come easy.

Characters:
In this frosty world, Turner West stands as our valiant hero. His resolve and strength are unquestionable, making him a character worth rooting for. The supporting cast, while not as extensively explored, adds depth to the story, each with their unique contributions to the group's survival.

Structure:
Daniel Pierce crafts a narrative that keeps you engaged from start to finish. The pacing is spot-on, ensuring that readers are always on the edge of their seats. The story's progression maintains the tension and excitement, making it a page-turner.

Impact:
"Bloodlands #2" offers a blend of fantasy and post-apocalyptic elements, creating a unique reading experience. It caters to fans of action, survival, and thrilling adventures. While not groundbreaking, it certainly provides an enjoyable escape into this grim world.

Hook and Thesis:
The story hooks readers with its promise of post-apocalyptic chaos, undead adversaries, and a relentless fight for survival. The thesis here revolves around Turner West's determination to protect his people and loved ones against the ever-present threat of the undead.

Praise and Critique:
Opinions on this book vary, but it generally receives praise for its action-packed sequences, fast-paced storytelling, and the imaginative post-apocalyptic world. However, some readers may find the characters less developed than desired.

Evaluation:
"Bloodlands #2" delivers what it promises: a thrilling continuation of Turner West's journey in a grim post-apocalyptic world. If you're a fan of action and survival narratives set against a backdrop of the undead, this book is worth a read. However, for those seeking deep character development, it may fall short.

Comparison:
In the realm of post-apocalyptic fiction, "Bloodlands #2" holds its own, offering a unique blend of action, survival, and fantasy. While it may not reinvent the genre, it offers an enjoyable experience for fans of such tales.

Conclusion:
As I wrap up this review from the frosty lands of HowlStrom, I encourage you to dive into "Bloodlands #2" if you're seeking an action-packed adventure. Turner West's relentless fight against the undead is sure to keep you entertained. So, gear up, prepare for the apocalypse, and embark on this chilling journey—it's survival of the fittest in the bloodlands!

2 Stars for me!

My rating range of this story... 1-3 Stars
If significant, why? The H's cheating killed the story completely for me.

F = n/a
If below 5/10,why?

Light, Moderate, Heavy or Please Stop

Scenes with heat... Yes
What point does it start? 10%
How much of the story? 15%
Anything beyond M/F? No
If yes, explained

Heat Rating... 6/10
Clean or Fade to Black - 1 or 2
Normal to Descriptive 3-5
Detailed Descriptive Sex - 6-7
Um, Wow, Beyond Descriptive Sex - 8 or above

Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward? No

The back story... The blurb says it all

The Romance... None. The H cannot control himself around other women yet he believes that he loves the h. If he loved her, he would not be hooking up with women behind her back.

The drama explosion... The final battle
Did it feel Real, OK or contrived? Ok
Was it OTT? Of course
Separation involved? No
Was it resolved properly or rushed? Properly

Final Notes... Had the H invited other women into the relationship or encouraged him to sleep with others, I would have been OK with that. The fact that he kept it hidden let me know that the H was a complete piece of garbage.

HEA or HFN? Hopefully the h finds something better!

Quick Moving Apocalyptic Fantasy

This book, of which I’m hoping for a continuing series, provided a very enjoyable, fast paced read. The post apocalyptic world in which survivors fight undead monsters and work to return to a civil state is imaginative and descriptive while containing believability. Great characters, great banter, great story. Fun reading which I highly recommend.

Decent second book.

The action in the book was pretty good and the pacing was good. I kind of wonder about the MC not thinking about the different ways the vampires could feed. Overall it was ok.
