USA Today best-selling author Morgana Best survived a childhood of deadly spiders and venomous snakes in the Australian outback. Morgana Best writes cozy mysteries and enjoys thinking of delightful new ways to murder her victims.
This is a fun mystery. It is set in 1937, not my usual time period for a cozy that I normally read. I really enjoyed some of the references about inventions in the future. Thelma Spelled is walking around in her garden one morning and stumbles upon a body! She calls the police and strangely enough, detective Coleman is there within seconds! Thelma thinks its strange but lets it go because she is upset about the body. Then he asks her to come down to the station to answer more questions. She walks in and tells the desk clerk she is there to see det. Coleman. The clerk says she must be mistaken and asks why. Then someone comes out and tells Thelma that it couldnt be det. Coleman because hes been dead for years.😲 she explains why shes there and he tells her there was a murder at her address, years ago and det. Colman was on the case. Bewildered, Thelma wonders if she is losing her mind but decides to investigate the murder herself. So this is where the great storyline begins. Join Thelma and her hubby Wolff as they travel between time periods to figure out this murder mystery.
When she goes to file her report with the detective in charge. She learns the murder happened 10 years prior, and the detective is now retired and had moved away.
When she confronts the deceased wife, she learns that time travel was involved, and Jasmine caused a Kurdaitcha man (an Australian aboriginal shaman) to cast a spell to keep Thelma and her husband separated for eternity when they died.
This is part two of a prequel for Morgana Best's Kitchen Witch series.
Thelma Spelled in a newly married witch. She goes out to her garden to tend to the flowers and everything seems a little off. Then Thelma discovers a body. Things with the detective seem off in time. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Read this short story and find out about a body lost in time.
This short story is a very early prequel to the Kitchen Witch series.
This was a fun enjoyable short story. Thelma works her way through some spells to fight the dark witch in her city. She can't get her convicted for murdering her husband, but she can prevent her from further damage to people.
This book was a quick read, a prequel to Miss Spelled. Thelma Spelled found herself involved in a 10 year old murder where her “enemy” witch murdered her husband by time travelling thus giving herself an alibi. A quick read. Not Ms. Best’s best tale but good enough.
