Wow. I really wish this was longer as a book because can this woman tell a tale or two. Her poems are so beautiful and her stories well crafted, romantic, disturbing at times, sweet and vicious. I’m glad there is such a mix of stories, it makes it fresh. I like short stories as they are so accessible and I can read them on my way to and from work. The author has a way of pulling emotions forth and making you live them. The stories are also very sexy. Instrument of desire is standout for this. What a great idea. Christine as Erik’s instrument. I adore this collection. Hope the writer publishes further works. Brilliant.
This is a four and a half stars review, it looses half a star as some of the formatting is off and needs to be edited. Apart from that I really enjoyed this book of vagaries. Lots of stories, something for everyone, some with a HE and some with a twist or a knife. Instrument of desire is the major piece in here, and I thought it was highly original. Some nice sexy scenes. I also loved the meg one and the one from Raoul’s perspectives- good to see them included, although majorly this is an Erik/Christine pov. Nice, but this book, it’s great.
This was a fantastic little collector of short stories. I’m quite new to phantom of the opera and I enjoy erotica so thought I try this on recommended from a friend. I thought the writing was good and I like that the phantom is pitrayed as a tragic character and sometimes gets the girl. They don’t all have good endings. Like the poems too. Very sweet. Going down the rabbit hole now into this, wish me luck. Thank you for the book. Much likes.
This is a fascinating collection of stories interspersed with poems. I wish it were longer but really enjoyed reading it. Lots of different perspectives. The flow of the prose is lovely and descriptive. If the writer publishes anything else I will read. 💗
Short stories and poetry! For being a debut novel, the author did a really good job at portraying emotions as well as describing them ever so perfectly that you can picture them within your mind! As other reviewer said there is something for everyone in this collection of short stories! I dare to say, I was not really into poetry really, yet It’s author has opened my heart up to the genre and I hope she continues to write more because I can tell she wrote this from the heart! I think there is some editing issues but, it doesn’t take away the enjoyment of the book! I love the way she writes her steamy scenes! The emotions she captures within each page is utterly remarkable. It’s like you can reach out and touch all of the characters and feel every emotion that they are feeling within every little word that the author put into the pages. I can’t say that a lot about other debut novels and, the author really outdone herself with this one. And I admire the author that loves playing around with words in order to describe something!
I am surprised that this book is not getting enough love because it is one of the better written books out there that regard phantom and I think every fan should give it a try! They might find it surprising! And, I never review poetry books or short stories and that is saying something. I am happy that I gave this book a try when I did and this review was so way overdue! Brava! Brava! I cannot wait for your next release.
Wow. This was hot. Really like this book. Hot hot hot. Perfect for a overheated summer day. Got me overheated I tell you! Like that Erik was not just a Sao but had a darkness to him like in the original book. Yeah he loves Christine but he’s not a good man. That came across really well here. Nice nice. I’m looking forward to more of these kinda stories and hope the author writes another book. Her descriptions are great, her life scenes hot as hell. These are short stories. Her poems punctuate each story. It’s nice to have that mix and is quite unusual. Love love love.
Wow. What an amazing debut novel. I really enjoyed this book. Consists of a number of short stories. Writer has a way of putting emotion across on the page that is profound and beautiful. Really liked instrument of desire and nice to see one from Raoul POV. Five stars. Great.
A great collection of short stories and poems. Beautifully written, there is light and dark here. I adore the way Germaine writes sex scenes, although that is not all that is here. It is sensitive, sensual, erotic, difficult and beautiful. I hope to see more from this writer. I love the title story in particular.
I was really dubious when I downloaded this book on borrow kindle. I like the phantom film but wasn’t sure about fan fiction stuff. I thought it’d be dumb. Chucked it in my tbr pile and forgot it. Then I picked it up today because I wanted a short read and it has good reviews. Well it was really good. Very expressive, not so much of the film, but that doesn’t matter. It was hot as the devils arse. It also is gentle and sweet. It explores the characters and their feelings really well and the sex isn’t just there for the sake of it. It’s an exploration of sexuality from loads of angles. Not really into poetry but it’s a good way to punctuate chapters and stores. I’d really recommend this book and I might actually bother to buy a copy of it. #teamerik
What a great book for a lazy, covid trapped afternoon. Not too long but really really hot. There’s no rushing here, the stories build sweetly, but boy the sex scenes are great. I want more, please write more. Instrument of desire is amazing. I like the other short stories too but that one really stirred me. I love fanfiction but there’s so many bad writers out there. This girl can write. Hoping for more more more! Hope the author is reading! A very few little mistakes here and there and some of the formatting is a bit off, that’s the only thing I would say, but the writing makes up for any errors. Will re-read at some point. 🙃🥰🙃
Funny how Ghost Story is word for word copied from a fic on fanfiction.net called Shimmer by poetzproblem posted in 2008. If anyone is noticing that the format is weird, it's because that's what happens to formatting when it's copied off the internet and the so-called author doesn't have access to the original word document because they are not the original author.
And if you want to know how I know this is plagiarism, it's because I am poetzproblem and I did not publish the book or give permission for my fic to be used.
