Do you have an angel?

I do... She's my candy striper, Kady...

It took me three months to get back to riding my Harley. One month to admit to the club, Night Hawks, my mom was in rehab and I needed help with my little brother and sister. And it took one day for me to see that I would walk through fire for my candy striper, Kady Gilreath.

When Kady's boyfriend pulls her into a life of abuse, drugs and death, I won't stand by and watch her become one of the missing. I'll dive into the chaos, embrace old friends and prove some people aren't what they seem.

When the smoke clears, I'll be at Kady's mercy and she'll be faced with the choice of saving me...

All the grit of a true MC romance, but geared for young adults, Tonya Coffey’s SAVE ME takes us back into the world of the Night Hawks and their youngest pledges who must straddle the lines of the club’s honor and life as a teen in the “normal” world during some heart-wrenching times. Do they follow the code of the club or the letter of the law?

As Reid struggles with memories of his losses, and the healing of his injuries, and the secrets he keeps from his club, one bright spot has shone through his thoughts, but he never figured the girl who caught his heart would need him to save her very life. Sometimes people are not what they seem...and the measure of a man isn't in the cut of his clothes.

Edgy, yet youthful in its presentation, Tonya Coffey’s characters come alive with depth and Reid’s narrative and internal dialogue paints a vivid picture of his life, his values and his heart as he uses the honor of the road to do the right thing!

What a wonderful escape from reality, crisp, emotionally raw at times, definitely well-written! I was hooked by these characters and their story!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Tonya Coffey!

Triggers: domestic abuse and assault. Drug related triggers

My first taste of this author came when with the release of the first story within the Night Hawks series, I Promise. At the time, it was such a change to what I was used to in terms of the MC world I had been devouring books in, I knew there was something special here.
Which made picking up this one and reading it a no-brainer.
Triggers: domestic abuse and assault. Drug related triggers
Where this one differs and as does my rating a little bit is, this one didn't exactly jump out at me in the romance department. Was it there? Yes. But where the previous book delivered more deeply on that particular aspect, as well as the suspense, this one seemed driven more by the suspense.
There wasn't anything particularly wrong with the book being handled in that manner, but I will say I was kind of hoping to see more development, more interaction between Kady and Reid.
What did jump out, same as it in the previous book and I absolutely loved was the sense of family, of connection with the younger members of the club especially. Having each other backs, the level of loyalty here, made me gravitate toward them and the story that unfolded even more.
And my heart bled for Reid and everything he was facing here. Taking care of his younger siblings especially at his age, handling adult issues when he just wasn't one, it was heartbreaking. I think so far, given all I've seen and read with these boys, by far, Reid is my favorite.
Again, as with the previous story, the level of steam here is non-existent. It's a safe read for the age group it targets and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. For this reader specifically, it's as welcome a change as it was when I read the first book.
The ending, fantastic, especially with the feels I had for Cole from the get. Fantastic.
I'm looking forward to catching up with crew again soon. I'm down for another ride with this club and these guys whenever the next one falls.
My thanks to the author for letting me read this story before release. Reid's journey is one I'm glad I got to be a part of.

Save Me is the second book in the Night Hawks MC romance series. This time the story is about Reid and Kady Gilreath. Reid is trying to heal the physical and mental wounds. The betrayal of the club, being shot, and even the troubles at home. He even has troubles at home with his junkie mother going into rehab and having to raise his younger siblings.

But there has been one shining moment for him, the candy striper, Kady that helps him. Reid finds himself drawn to Kady but keeps his distance since she has a boyfriend. Unfortunately when he learns of the trouble he is getting Kady into Reid can’t stand by any longer and steps up. His decision is going to give him trouble with the club but he has to do something.

I really like this series. You have the family and brotherhood feel from the club. They might not be totally legal but they have rules and are there for each other. My heart broke for Reid and everything he had going on. I love how he proves that you can’t judge someone based on their appearances. I loved how he would go to hell and back to save Kady.

But the part I really love is that although this is a romance you don’t have all the steamy sex like other books. Sometimes you just need a great story that is not interrupted every 20 pages by sex.

Tonya Coffey has written an amazing series that will pull you in and leave you wanting more. I love her books and this series follows along with that. I recommend checking out this series, you will just love it. As for me, I can’t wait to read her next book.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.

I give this book a rating of 5 stars and highly recommend reading it. Very well written book and full of detail. The characters really come to life. I enjoyed this book just as much as the first book, I Promise in the series.

I categorized this as smut, although there was no sex in it. I think she was trying to head that way...I'm not sure. It may also have been YA, but also, not sure. Might have been a nice little story, but the typos and grammar mistakes eventually made me give up. After the third mention of a car being in a roll, I finally figured out she meant row. My eyes hurt from the intense rolling they just did.
