There isn't much better as a reader than finding a debut novel that you have zero expectations for, and it blowing you away. No More No Less did just that. The Author, Alisha Nandeshwar, wrote a book that is smart, beautiful, made me laugh, and gave me just the right amount of feels. There wasn't one thing I would change about this story or the characters. I loved everything about it!
Storytelling is the most perfect of ways to understand the plight of others, because there are emotions that get triggered when we read which allows us to form a bond to the story and its characters. Then this book leads us to remember specific aspects of the story that have touched us the most, creating empathy.
The Book, No More No Less, is a 'seriously' romantic, fun book that has rekindled my interest in the romance genre. When it hits the spot, I LOVE a good romance, but I rarely find one that goes beyond cliches and instalove so I usually end up bored. Not with this one. Not one bit.
I'm going to start off by saying Alisha Nandeshwar knows how to write a great book! No More No Less was so fricking cute and just a real feel-good book. Although it was cute, it also dealt with quite a few things so it had quite a bit of substance too.
The characters were fantastic. I felt like all of them were very real and fleshed out. The characters were also super diverse which was wonderful. They weren't diverse just for the sake of it either. Pari was a great protagonist.
I found this book very entertaining and I read it all in one day. The writing was great. Author is phenomenal at getting into these characters and whacking out relatable stuff. I would recommend this book and I would read more by Alisha Nandeshwar.
I really, really loved this book and I’m so glad I finally found time to read it! It was such a cute and heartwarming story and made me smile so much; it was exactly what I needed. Pari is such a lovely character that I could relate A LOT to her and her family was all kinds of adorable. The cast of this book is really diverse. I guess it's one of those books that can make you feel a little less alone in your own head. And aren't these always the best kind of books?!
It means so much to me to see a character who looks and thinks like myself. Aside from Pari being one of the most relateable characters I've ever read, the rest of the story held up.
There are also quieter, sweet moments that reflect REAL relationships and frienships. Alisha Nandeshwar writes the best YA romance. And I swear she captures crushes in the most palpable way.
Some authors write love stories, some live them. Alisha comes in the second category. This piece of work doesn't look like her first. She has outdone probably many authors who write stories in the name of "Love Stories" but you feel nothing reading about them.
For me, love stories are sacred, although I believe in happily ever after, even love stories that doesn't complete commands respect. An amalgamation of Love and friendship , the right dose of fun and laughter, this one takes you a trip down the memory lane.We all relate to the moments of friends, friendships, smiles and tears.
Pari is a dreamy girl who believes her Prince Charming will sweep her off the feet. She wishes to settle for nothing less than that. Riya also has the same thought process. Avinash is another best friend who completes the trio. A guy who's handsome, sweet and flirty; he is a guy girls fall for and he is the friend everyone wishes to have.He is protective and loves the girls to death, unconditional and always there. The bonding between the friends are something we all wish for.
Enter Sameer, Avinash's cousin who has all the qualities of the Prince Charming and Pari starts dreaming for her happily ever after. However, what's life without twists and turns ?? Fate brings them in cross roads; to chose love or friendship? What Pari chose and how it affects all her other relation and dynamics, read the book to find out.
Loved the narration. The start was a little slow for me, but the story picked up pace after first few pages. The characters are well developed. Their backstory gives a idea as to how and why they are so inseparable and important to each other. The chemistry between the friends leave you wanting more. The book is edited well.I liked the way the story paused at crossroads. Waiting for the sequel.
Rating:
I would rate the book 4/5 for the cool writing, simple story and detailed characters.
Oh the adorableness! Such a cute, diverse read! I can see why so many people love this book! It's so adorable and super diverse and the main character is so wonderful!!
The story is just RELATABLE on so many levels to young readers, I myself included. The way Alisha describes and develops her characters' feelings as well as emotions is incredibly pure and realistic, This is a perfect summer read!
This book has a happily ever after but not for everyone this one says that life is not simple as we sometimes think of it can be brutal for someone and heavenly for someone, and if we get a good one then cherish it and have to share their heaven to those who don't have access to it. . . Review
The love that I witnessed between the characters mesmerized me and I was on cloud nine watching their beautiful love life and the pain they had to go through when they get to know a shocking truth which broke them from the heart and in that they tried to reduce each other by enduring all the pain there heart.
I liked the narrative style of the author and she has worked on each character without partiality, I truly liked the way she had weaved the story and would like to read more of her work, the language of the book is in a simple way and this book can be read in one go, as I wanted to finish it one go but my mind got diverted watching a serial so end up watching that serial whole day leaving the book aside.
There is nothing but love that I never experienced.
The story is of three best friends and their life with each other, they share each thing and don't keep secret from each other but one secret was kept hidden from one and the other two knew and when he knew his heart shattered into pieces and fall in depressing life but kept his smile on the face so that no one can know what he is fighting from.
Glimpse in a blink
She is in search of a pure gentleman who can soothe her heart with the love and tenderness she always dreamt of and when Pari meets with him she lost her consciousness and fell for him in just seeing him, Sameer is the man of his words and has an eye of a beholder.
Pari, Riya and Avinash are bonded with each other very well and they are like best friends forever but we know nothing is forever, Avinash keeps them safe from the evil world as he tries all things to protect his best friend and he promised them a better life after the college as they will work in the same company.
Avinash introduced Sameer to pari and they become inseparable from each other romancing each second which they got, three friends were very happy from their life but things happened which breaks their heart and destiny gave them a high time.
Will they end up being happy or will happen something else for to know more grab the book and start searching for what will happen to them.
Happy reading my fellow reader friends and keep inspiring people to read.
No More No less by Alisha Nandeshwar, is a simple beautiful Indian love story. Every chapter starts with a beautiful quote which gives you a little bit predictions and insights about what's going to happen next and also excites you to read the chapter. In one of the part that simple exchange of those song lyrics between Pari and Sameer was really cute.
The teasing but caring nature of their friends Riya and Avinash, made me laugh, and totally reminded me of my own friends.
True love affects your brain the way alcohol does, your senses becomes numb and you start thinking alot but its amazing when it is mutual from both sides and somewhere you know that the other person also feels the same, becuz u can see your own feelings emotions reflecting in that other person.
The story is written in a way, that I was completely engrossed in it and was able to visualise every single character the way it would have been in a movie, that's really commendable Alisha. Every page was opening up with new scene in my mind. Your work is really strong that it can have that effect on your readers.
Well with love and happiness there comes sadness and sacrifices too. It's reality which cannot be ignored plus the choices you make have its own consequences. It really made me cry in the last part. I was able to put myself in Pari's place and could feel every single emotion.
Well to read, what happened in this love story and what decision Pari took, you should definitely read this novel and what happens next in the story will be revealed in her second novel which is already out. Can't wait to read the second part.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ From a debutant author, what do you expect? Yes, I also did not have much expectations. But this girl just blew my mind. It does not seemed like she is writing her first book. It was like she is already a professional. Some authors write love stories, some live them. Alisha has written to express and not impress. ♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎ 3 Friends Pari, Riya and Avinash sees life In a different way. Pari is a dreamy girl who believes her Prince Charming will sweep her off the feet. She wishes to settle for nothing less than that. Riya also has the same thought process. Avinash is a guy who's handsome, sweet and flirty; he is a guy, girls fall for and he is the friend everyone wishes to have. He is very protective & Caring. They all 3 live like a small bunch of family members. When the Sassi Pari meets the arrogant Sameer, it is impossible for them to avoid the sparks of live that flare between them like a forest fire, but falling in love is easy. It is staying in love that's like a roller-coaster ride- all full of ups and downs & a whole cocktail of twists and turns. Destiny was ready to bite them. While they both are busy writing chapters of their life, fate intervenes in the most terrible way. Will that be 'Happily Ever After'? Keep guessing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I loved the fact that each chapter starts with a beautiful quote. Some of the quotes I really loved was- 1) With friendship comes a responsibility. To be able to keep the sweet secrets covered in the veil of acceptance. 2) Love is that delicate little bud, which blossoms in its own sweet time. 3) You can't really expect anyone to agree with you. Some decisions are just too painful to happily accept and move on. ♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎ The writing is simple and easy to understand. Language is lucid. Author has left scope for a sequel because the ending Is like that. Watch the race between Destiny and Love. Who wins, who looses.. Keep guessing. All praise for this debutant hardwork. My Rating - 4/5 Plot and Characters - 4/5. Writing is crisp & clear. Back story has played a big part in the book. It keeps you hooked till the end. Recommended - Yes ❤️❤️❤️
It's a story of three friends. It's a story of Avi, Pari and Riya. A story of faith, love and friendship.
The plot of the story is interesting with a few twists and lots of drama. It's a blend of love, romance and emotions. The engaging narration and crisp writing style make this book more interesting. I loved the way the author described the bond between the friends, the love between family. How Pari's life changed when she Met Sameer.
The characters are well developed by the author. I fell in love with Sameer and Pari and of course Avi. The love between brothers, the brother-sister bond everything is beautifully expressed. Not to forget the surprising climax and the curiousness to read part 2. The simple language and the witty writing style of the author make this book more fun. Not to forget Avi's humour add fun to the story that will make you feel nostalgic.
It's a smooth paced story of Family, Love and friendship. The way the author expressed the bond between all the characters is commendable. It was like watching a family drama. The love story of Pari and Sameer.
A simple, light and a delightful read that you'll enjoy.

No more no less is a beautiful story revolving around theme of love and friendship .
Alisha Nandeshwar has penned this book amazingly well to make the readers feel a bundle of emotions while reading .
The story is mainly about Pari and Sameer , who when met , experienced some Sparks of love flare between them .
But as we know the journey of love or even friendship, can't be so smooth , there came some hurdles in their way . Their fairytale love experienced a lot of not so good moments .
What happened to their lives thereafter? Did their love overshadow all the problems or they failed their relationship? What happened to the bond of friendship ? When she has to choose between love and friendship , what will she choose?
Read the book to know the answers to all these questions .
I personally found the book a smooth read .
The readers will enjoy reading the beautiful bond between friends ,as expressed by the author.

As a debut book , the author has done justice to the novel .

Are you a romance read enthusiast? This series by Alisha Nandeshwar will be liked by you. With a lovely cover this story 'No More No Less is a contemporary love fiction revolving between two young adults named Pari and Sameer. Things can feel perfect like fairytale until life intervenes with its twists. Pari is beautiful, innocent hearted and sassy. Sameer is little arrogant. But their love starts like a forest fire full of passion, joys of the newness of the unknown and again with twists.
When things seem smooth, life had other plans and takes their hearts on a roller coaster ride full of ups and downs pouring with first time felt emotions making them sometimes confused and scared. In all these uncertainties, will they separate or stick with each other till the end?
This is part 1. Romantic people will like it. It shows the feelings that arise in one's heart when they find just the right one for them. Friendship, young adult lifestyle, fun, sweet love, intimacy, bond between family members, heartbreaking pain are also spoken about by the addition of few more side characters with well developed personalities. More to read in the next part about their fate. I have already shared my thoughts on the full series. The next part has some really sad twists introduced by life. Someone losses their life bringing havoc to another's.
Seriously cute, seriously touching and seriously good. This was such a refreshing read full of so many emotions. I truly enjoyed every single page from background of characters, to the ethnicity, to the heart warming romance, this was a read perfect to get away for a few hours, let go and just be.
Sameer is absolute perfection, yummier than a fluffy waffle. Pari is adorably awesome and flawed, the type of girl that you'd love to pinch her cheeks and run like hell. Together their story is full of enjoyable moments that reminded me how sporadically awesome it was to be in love with someone.
This is the first part of an already incredible series 'No More No Less'. When Pari and Sameer meets they instantly fall for each other but as they say no love is possible without life's fair share of struggles. Sameer and Pari also faces the same struggle and their love story goes through many ups and downs. But will they get their happily ever after?
Unlike lots of romance book the side characters are also well developed. Friends and family were portrayed in realistic and entertaining way. I especially love Pari, Avinash and Riya dynamics. Though the storyline is simple the narration is wonderful.
Loved it! Do I recommend it? Umm bloody hell yeah!
No More, No Less is a sweet story of sassy, beautiful Pari and arrogant and handsome Sameer where they both meet at a gathering and we are not able to fade out the sparkle of love that has set their hearts in desire for each other. This story is rustic with true emotions. Pari believes in love and weaves dreams of her prince charming. With her, Avinash & Riya have been her constants from childhood. Talking about friends as constant , the story gives us instances that make us believe in true friendship. The three friends share a pious bond, sometimes pulling legs and caring for each other in hard times. They promise to themselves, one thing , they would remain together till death. This bonding of friends is something we really wish for.
Love is something that gives you utmost reasons to admire the person. But no love comes easy and fairy. The love shared by Sameer & Pari has all the elements of a perfect love at first sight. But been living in a fairytale love, Pari starts doubting the circumstances. Pari stops her self-questioning on her current life with Sameer when her mother make her believe in the magic of love. But will she break off her friendship for the sake of living the “happily ever after”
For Sameer, it is only Pari that mainly matters. For the first time, he is living under the shade of true love and he does everything to make Pari special. The families grant their blessing. With work, family & love on both his shoulders, can he balance them perfectly? Or there more twists for to be experienced? How far are they from their “Happily Ever After”?
The narration is fluid. The story is detailed, perhaps you wouldn’t get confused. The writing style is pretty modern. There’s a beautiful familiarity of the real life and storyline. The book is smooth, just like one’s own story. There are editing erros too.
The characters could have been a little more descriptive. Riya and Avinash stay quite far and are bought into the story whenever there’s gathering, except the last few chapters of the book.
Nevertheless, readers with interest in pure romantic genre can give this book a read or the beginners would love the book. But, the people preferring erotic or romantic thrillers please abstain from reading.
NO MORE NO LESS is a lovely story of sassy Pari and handsome Sameer❤.The beautiful author Alisha Nandeshwar has penned the story so amazingly, it doesn't seems like she wrote the book for the 1st time. A good friend circle who supports and understands us and a handsome man who gives butterflies in the stomach, matters!😛This story will make you laugh loud, blush, cry and every emotion we feel.😉While reading this book you'll imagine yourself in the beautiful world of Pari and Sameer. And in the end you'll stay wondering that.. what happens next? Will Pari and Sameer will find a way for each other or they'll end up being apart?
No more No less book begins with the introduction of three close friends—Pari, Avinash, and Riya who are about to graduate from their MBA college. Avinash doesn’t participate in any campus drive interviews as he wants to join his father’s well-settled business. He also stops Riya and Pari from featuring in interviews, reasoning that he has planned something for them as well.
At the graduation party, Avinash introduces his friend Sameer (the handsome and settled businessman just returned to India from London) to Riya and Pari. Pari who has never dated any guy before, falls for Sameer. They start dating and loving each other.
Avinash tells Pari and Riya that his plan for them was to make them join his father’s company. While Riya is thrilled with the idea, Pari doesn’t want a job just like that. She wants it with her own capabilities. Eventually, Sameer convinces her as well for it.
I found the story a little slow as the author tried to explain every little thing. Some of the words have been used too many times, almost on every page.
Going ahead, Pari finds that her brother Dev and Riya are also in love with each other. Avinash is unaware of the relationship between Riya and Dev, as both his friends keep this a secret from him.
When Dev announces his engagement with Riya at a birthday party, everyone gets delighted about it, but not Avinash. He is heart-broken. He loved Riya.
Avi wanted to settle well and have everything of his own, before proposing to Riya so that she can’t refuse. But he is late. She loves someone else and will soon get married.
More than half of the story runs smoothly, having everything in place. But the climax tears the things apart. I loved the second half of the story more as it made more sense.
Overall, No More No Less novel by Alisha Nandeshwar is a good book to read. It is her debut book, but the writing skills of the author won’t make you feel so.
No more no less is story of friendship & love respectively. It start with the story of 3 friends : Pari, Riya & Avinash. Their squad is more like a group of crazy friends, who teases each other oftenly, but also care like siblings.
Pari is smart, mischievous & shy girl, who wants to be self dependent. Riya had lost her parents in a car accident. Pari treats her in a way that she never feel alone & shallow. Avinash is that boy, who is surrounded by lots of girls because of his looks.
I can relate to the character Pari in terms of thinking & behavior, meanwhile I can relate to Riya in terms of not showing the pain & living the life like: let's enjoy it fully.
In a party, Pari & Sameer met for 1st time, via Avinash. And their love story begins from there. It reminds me that song of 3 Idiots movie ( Jaisa filmon Mei hota h, ho rha h... ) Wait, I don't wanna give spoilers. Especially, about the main storyline. So, If you wanna know the story that how a meeting started budding into love & what's the ending, grab the book & enjoy!
What I like: The way of story telling. It touches the reality & imagination at same time.
What I dislike: I wish few words like : umm, aww, etc. we're in less frequency. Else, it's nice story.
Recommended : If you like fictional content, fantasy, love story; then it's for you.
