It was only supposed to be one night. One incredibly steamy and satisfying night...

Confirmed bachelor Jason may be back in Hardwood, but with an aversion to relationships, settling down isn’t part of his master plan.

When he meets private and buttoned-up Chelsea and she says the magic words one-night stand, he’s only too happy to oblige. It was wild, passionate, and exhilarating. A night he can’t stop thinking about and wanting more of.

But neither are prepared when their casual one-nighter results in two blue lines.

Now that Jason and Chelsea are connected in the deepest way possible, will their secrets keep them apart or can they open their hearts and find a way to be a family?

Book 2 in the Hardwood Country Club Series, SHOTGUN START is a sizzling, surprise pregnancy romance, and can be read as a standalone.

This is the 2nd book I've read written Amy Pinkston; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This is the second book in Amy Pinkston's Hardwood series. You do not have to read book one to understand this but I feel if you have you'll enjoy the character dynamics more. Even though it's said a few times that Tabby and Chelsea are best friends you don't see much of that in actuality in this book.

Jason used to be a caddy on the circuit for Fitz, since Fitz found his HEA and moved back home Jason followed suit. Chelsea is a fiercely independent woman, she doesn't want to depend on anyone or let anyone get leverage over her. Neither is looking for anything serious but the attraction is magnetic and addictive.

The story between them is very well written as is Chelsea's backstory. I found my heart breaking for her and the obvious trauma she suffered when she was 17. It's completely understandable why she had so many walls up. I adored how Jason transitioned between being so free loving in the last book to bring the patient and devoted anchor Chelsea needs.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll love this book!

We are back for another visit at Hardwood Country Club where we last met Tabby and Fitz. We also met Chelsea, the snarky second assistant. This is her story. After her Thursday class, she and Tabby always stopped at the Dug Out tavern for a beer but since Tabby met Fitz she had been a no-show. But Chelsea still liked to go and one night this gorgeous guy with a cheesy pickup line really intrigued her so she let him take her home. This was NOT something she normally did. But Jason was hot and he did not want a relationship and neither did she because all that does is force you to be someone you are not!! We know Jason is Fitz's friend, Chelsea doesn't yet. They carry on a clandestine friends-with-benefits non-relationship even though Jason wants more. Chelsea won't budge. Nature intervenes. Now what? Another delightful story I believe you will enjoy..

Shotgun Start by Amy Pinkston is the second book in the Hardwood Country Club series. The series is a wonderful read anytime you want to escape reality and have a book boyfriend or two. This book is about Chelsea and Jason, neither of which want to get into a relationship because of family difficulties in their past. However they can't keep their hands off each other and it results in an unplanned pregnancy. What's next?

This story centers around Chelsea who works in the pro shop and Jason, who was the former caddy to golf pro, Fitz, from book one of the Hardwood Country Club series. He's a confirmed bachelor who really meets his match in Chelsea who agrees to a friend's with benefits relationship, as long as they tell no one, including their best friends. But Mother Nature interferes with that notion! Amy Pinkston gives us just enough of their backstories to help us understand these very multifaceted protagonists. This story has very deep emotions with a heartfelt resolution. I highly recommend it!

Awesome story very well written this is the second book in Amy's Hardwood Series. Chelsea and Jason's story, my heart breaks for Chelsea and what she went through will Jason be able to break the barriers Chelsea has up will they get there HEA! We will see I highly recommend reading this story which can be read alone but I strongly suggest reading the first book in the series Stiff Competition which was just as exciting read.

WARNING 18+
Accidental Baby Friends with Benefits
We met the hero and the heroine in the first book "Stiff Competition"
They met at a bar where it was supposed to be for just one night.
The next time they met it became friends with benefits agreement.
But then they discovered she is pregnant.
If you loved the first book "Stiff Competition" you will love this one
I recommend that you grab both books and read them if you love romances

This was a really sweet and steamy Love Story, from beginning to end. It all takes place at the Hardwood Country Club and it's a series of books surrounded there. Each one can be read alone. It was a really great story, very well written. I loved every minute of it. I read the first one which was "Stiff Competition" and it was an exceptional story too. I really think that you're going to enjoy these books.

This is great addition to the series it has a great set of characters that are well developed and engaging. Jason thinks his a confirmed bachelor until he hooks up with Chelsea who has had a hard road to get to where she is at and is not going to let anyone get in her way no matter how hot they are. I had fun reading this one.

Jason was a caddy for Fitz.
He’s a player, and doesn’t do sleep overs. He’s gotten around. A lot.

He picks up Chelsea who is coming off a two year draught.

Soon, they’re doing friends with benefits and then she gets pregnant.
Is Jason finally going to grow up?

Jason is a golf caddy who likes women and doesn't do relationships ever. Chelsea is the golf pro and also doesn't do relationships so when she meets Jason they seem to have the perfect friends with benefits plans until it isn't perfect. This is entertaining story with well written characters.

This is the second book in the series Hardwood Country Club but can be read as a stand alone book. Jason and Chelsea meet at the bar and have a one night stand thinking they'll never see each other again. Or so they thought...

This is an enjoyable and well written story. It's a very interesting plot with some wonderful characters. I like Chelsea and Jason. What starts as a one night stand definitely ends on a different note.

Single independent
She earned everything left her mother and stepfather behind with their social hungry selves.
He is living high with life
No attachment no commitment
Their meeting seemed like a great escape but their familiarity is getting stronger
Unfortunately one of their hookups leads to a life changing situation
Now is there something worth fighting for or will he leave her holding a bundle of joy alone

Good read

I am not reading this series in order but basically they are close enough to a standalone as a series can get. Not as an emotional book as book 3 but a great followup to Book 1. Hmmmm Should have read them in order.
ENJOY.
