James D. Sanders is an African American author of literary fiction. He was born and raised in the small town of Saginaw, Michigan. Although he was raised in some of the tougher areas of the city, it was his upbringing through the experiences in those areas that leads to the depth and backgrounds of several of his characters.
In 2005, James began working on his first novel, but was forced to put it aside for nearly a decade due to a demanding career. He officially made his return to writing in 2014, and in January of 2015 successfully publish his debut street lit novel, “Situations”. Although a work of fiction, the book and its characters are based upon some of the earlier experiences in James’ life.
Sanders now lives near Phoenix Arizona with his wife and daughter, where he continues to work on several projects across multiple genre.
