I loved that girl with all of my heart and it pained me to walk away from her, but what choice did I have?

Harper arrives in Boston to get away from everyone including her fiancé. She wants to be alone so she can think. Little does she know Tate lives in Boston. He is no longer the boy that she used to date but is now a grown man with tattoos. The plan was to take time away to clear her mind. Plans have suddenly changed. Seeing Tate has made Harper question her future and her heart.

Hattie Lou ties a tangled romantic knot in Better With You! Harper and Tate were starcrossed teenage lovers until one day Tate just up and left. Years later, Harper is spending time away from her fiancé to clear her head when she runs into Tate. Lou’s writing is marvelously full of emotion and voice and the romance is compelling! Check out Better With You if you like your romance complicated!

Read in one evening!!!!!!

Absolutely loved this! I fell in love with Harper and Tate instantly and once I started, I genuinely couldn't put it down!! I was up till 2am so my eyes are super sore today but it was worth it!!

Would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance with a bit of heartache and a bunch of fun characters. 😁

The chemistry between Tate and Harper throughout the book is undeniable. The story starts off with the day Tate and Harper met. We get to read about how the friendship turned into a relationship. I could feel the pain as Harper found out Tate was gone and not coming back.


As they meet up again years later we learn what they have been up to and how they got to where they are now.


Overall, I found this story amazing and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance novels.

This is a wonderful heartwarming second chance tale. Tate & Harper meet when he is moving across the street. She's the nice sweet nerdy girl & he's the good looking heartbreaker. Their 'friends' relationship is looking like going somewhere until he receives a mysterious message. The next thing we know is that's he's gone along with his dad. Harper is devastated.

Seven years later she's moved on with a cheating fiancé & with that another issue impacting her life decides to take her friend, Emily, up on the offer of helping her with the renovations on an inn in Boston. As fate would have it Emily's boyfriends friend is none other than the now manwhore Tate. Their reunion is rocky to say the least but I won't divulge anymore so you can join them on their emotional journey towards more?

I felt the connection between our protagonists & while I wasn't impressed initially with Tates reappearance he did redeem himself in the end. Of course there were reasons for his disappearance & slight twist to add to the mix with that. While this was slightly angsty it wasn't OTT it fitted the story perfectly. If you like a teen to adults second chance tale this is for you.

I received a copy of this book from voracious readers and I really enjoyed it. I liked how relatable the characters were especially Harper. I also really liked how we got to see the start of their story as teenagers so we could see and fully understand how their relationship developed. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who likes romances.

I couldn’t get enough!!

What a fabulous new to me author!!! I love Hattie’s style! Now this was such a sweet story with just enough drama to keep you all in! I couldn’t get enough of sexy ass Tate and sweet Harper! I felt their chemistry off the get and I just had to know what and how this all ended for them!! The twist and turns that happen throughout the book had me holding my heart while whispering nooooo or awwwww yesssss! I highly recommend this book!! Put it on your tbr and make sure to read it!!

I really enjoyed the story in this book! I am very glad I didn't let some proofreading errors convince me to put it down. I think I needed a good romance, and having the couple in Boston for awhile never hurts! Definitely worth a read. I look forward to reading her other book at some point in my near future, I'll be adding it to my want to read shelf immediately!

What a lovely story. Really well written with real, honest characters. The sweet way Harper and Tate’s romance blossoms is adorable, each bringing the best out in each other until one night. Their reconnection years later is told beautifully, and you will root for them to get their HEA. Am looking forward to reading more by Hattie Lou.

Super fun book. This book has all the fun romance tropes. Second chance at love, suspense, it keeps you guessing. I love the chemistry between Harper and Tate. I couldn't put this book down, I needed to know what happens next.
