Eira thought she was done with the fae courts. At least, it seemed that way with the Fae Queen of Summer incapacitated.
Except that the Fae Queen of Winter is dying, and her daughter refuses the throne. Leaving only one possible successor. Someone with the powers that belonged to the Winter Fae in the first place. Someone sounding suspiciously like Eira.
The Queen is dead. Long live the Queen. - Reigning Eira is a paranormal reverse harem, set in the Paranormal Council universe, and the second book of Fated Seasons: Winter.

It's kind of weird to read a story that takes place in the same world as another book you've already read but where the big event that shaped the other series has not happened yet. There is a certain anticipation, a certain longing too. It adds a different layer to the reading experience. However, since my review for the last book is due tomorrow I'm binge reading this series, something I usually don't try to do, but blame it on bad planning.
And in this book the thing that I'm waiting for to happen still doesn't happen, although it's hinted at. I do think, but I might be wrong, that reading the books in this order, first the return of the Fae series and then this one, is the best way to do it. That extra layer of excitement and anticipating really makes the reading experience a little more intense. It also adds a layer of dramatic irony to the story. After all, we know what's going to happen even though the characters don't yet.
But first we get to see more of the Fae courts and their politics. And I like how Eira both feels out of place in that world and also seems to fit in effortlessly. It says something about her character and how, even though she doesn't come across as too complicated, she's still interesting and has a lot to offer. I like how she has this sweet, almost childlike side, but when her emotions rage through her she can turn into someone you really can imagine ruling a kingdom.
In this book her guys took more of a backseat. They were clearly there to serve Eira and in a way I like that. Of course, it doesn't mean they're less, but this story was not all about their love, about their relationship, about them getting to know each other and building that connection. Although, in a way it's also that relationship that moves the story forward and that forces Eira to decide quickly about very big things, not knowing how it will all change the world. Literally.
The Fae Queen of Winter is dying, and her daughter can't accept the throne, Eira is next in line. It's not a position she wants but that might make her the perfect person to rule. And when one of her men gets in trouble, it may be the only way she can help him.
Frosty and her men Leth, Josh, and Rueben are back. All Eira wants is a peaceful, easy life but that's not what the fates have in store for her. I really enjoy this group of characters. There is a sense of whimsy surrounding them. The fact that Eira 'accidentally' freezes people who annoy her is hysterical. That Leth still uses windows instead of doors is too. The men's affection for one another and their devotion to Eira is everything. I am assuming that there will be a follow up of sorts to this book. Surely, we need to know the changes Eira brings to the fae and forces on the high council and vampire elders. Three of the fae queens are in place now to change both realms. Should be fun.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and I loved this book! My favourite Frosty heroine dealt with a world of changes and surprises in this sequel, and I reeeaaaaally hope there'll be another book because I adore these characters too much!!!

The Fae Queen of Winter is dying, and her daughter refuses the throne, and Eira, descendant of Jack Frost and being the one having the powers of the Winter Fae, is the next logical successor. This is not what she wants. But it may be a helpful role for her to own when one of her men is in danger, as Rueben is taken by the vampire hunter Aiden. Her people fully responded to their Queen as she demonstrated her calm authority and effective power! How would the responsibilities of the throne affect her life and that of her mates, Leth (a half Summer Fae), Josh (a witch) and Rueben (a vampire)? Not a docile Queen, will the Fae, High Council and vampire elders be ready for her?
This is a well-written book that will keep the reader’s interest. The characters are strong and likable, as we see Eira coping with the many challenges she faces with the full support of her wonderful men. The story line is well-paced and intriguing. I loved how she dealt out “justice” to Maurice, the indifferent head of the vampire elders when he thought he had the upper hand, and her rescue of her mate, Reuben. She shows her strength and dignity throughout and commands even reluctant respect from her enemies. Grab your copy and enjoy!
With the old Summer Queen, incapacitated Eira finally begins to fell like she is free of the fae courts. Eira is mated to a vampire, Rueben who is an elder on the vampire council, a witch, Josh, a long time friend, and Lord Lith, a fae, whose sister is the new Summer Queen. Eira goes with Rueben to the vampire council and her powers get away from her and she ends up freezing the head of the council. Eira gets an invitation to attend the Summer Queen ‘s wedding to the Winter Princess. This will be interesting.
This is another fantastic book about Eira and her mates. It is the second in the Fated Season: Winter series. It is a paranormal reverse harem book, set in the Paranormal Council Universe. The characters are so interesting and diverse with strong personalities. The narrative and dialogue give depth to the scenery and develop the characters future. It is a well written book that show how love can be grown and shared and the kind of sacrifices you will make for your loved ones. It contains emotional drama as well. I really liked this paranormal book and am looking forward to the next in the series.

“Reigning Eira” is the second installment in Laura Greenwood’s “The Fae Queen of Winter” Trilogy, a fantasy paranormal romance series set in Faerie that follows Eira (FMC) in her journey to eventually become the Queen of Winter.
Eira is responsible for calling the frost every year, she is a descendant of Jack Frost, and is – at the beginning of her journey – more of less content with her role in life, but fate and ancestry have other plans. The story is fast-paced, action-rich, entertaining, with a wonderful crafted-world, lovely enjoyable characters and a steamy multispecies romance. This is Eira’s story in her way to her fulfillment, accompanied by her mates (why-choose) into a quest to keep the balance in the Faelands.
The Old Fae Queen on Summer is out of the picture and Leth’s sister is about to take the throne. Eira is hoping to be free of the Fae Courts once and for all, and able to live her life with her three mates in peace but wishes would have a way to always backfire in Faerie. Now the Fae Queen on Winter is dying and her daughter refuses to take the throne, which puts Eira herself as the next in line, but Eira still has problems controlling her magic. And then Rueben is kidnapped by a vampire hunter and she moves Summer and Winter to get him back.
This is a wonderful sequel! The series just keeps becoming more intriguing with each turn of the page. I love the characters and the devotion they have. Loaded with magic, passion, suspense and secrets in this fae court. Can't wait for another installment! Recommend reading!!

ONE FABULOUS WORK OF WONDER!!! Fudge nuggets! A skillfully laid storyline and gripping plot shows our heroine totally holding her own up against the heavy hitters. She kicks-ass with such eloquence and grace demanding respect which she gets in spades. A swirling eddy of circumstances and a slew of surprising events that launch all of your spinning emotions to life wonderfully. Throw in all the drama and suspense and you have one intense, electrifying tale that captures your attention from start to finish. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and qualities that blend and play off one another in such a smooth flowing rhythm. The scenes are written with such realism it paints a fantastic backdrop. Incredible job Laura, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Eira had never thought that she was fae, believing her sexual needs were inherited from the succubus nature of her grandmother. She is distraught to learn of her fae heritage, and even less pleased to become the heir to the throne of the Winter Court.
She and her three mates face many distressing challenges on her way to the throne. They are a strong team because of their individual histories and gifts. They could prove to bring much needed stability to the fae - as long as they survive, together.

Eira Wants nothing more than to have a peaceful life with her mates. When Marcus refuses to punish Edward for attacking her even though she is another vampire's mate, she takes things in hand. But Her peace is threatened - the Winter Queen is dying, and her daughter refuses to succeed her - which really means that the only Fae left with winter's powers who can be queen is Eira. Is this to be her fate? Will she be able to cope with the changes in her life? What of her men? I LOVE Laura's work!

This second book in the Fated Seasons: Winter series sees Eira faced with a huge decision, a kidnapping, several balls, a twist of romance and a sprinkling of magic. We also see where the apocalyptic world that is in the Blessed series comes from. An interesting read, and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first in the Fated Seasons: Winter series, and look forward to seeing what happens next for Eira and her mates. NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions
The Fae Queen of Winter is dying and her daughter doesn’t want the throne so next in line is Eira but Eira is still having problems controlling her magic so will she be able to take the throne?. Well her men have been there right from the start and they will help her through this too. There is so much going on in this story there was no way I was putting it down I only hope that this author writes another book in the Fated Seasons: Winter series I loved both of the stories in this series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Another fantastic book in "The Fae Queen of Winter" series by Laura Greenwood. The characters are absolutely so interesting and diverse with strong personalities. Her world-building is outstanding as it allows the words to play out in my mind in detail. There is a maturity in this storyline that pulled me in when it showed just how smoothly things can go in a polyamorous relationship and the sacrifices that are made for those they love. All the adventure, drama, emotional feels of this rollercoaster ride are found within the pages. Now to see where she takes us next.
This is the next book in the Fated Seasons: Winter series which follows Eira, Leth, Josh and Rueben. I love how we get to see how Eira handles all the stressors that are thrown at her and that her men stand beside her every step of the way. I loved how she handled Edward and the fact that the other Vampire elders pretty much turn a blind eye to how she handled things.

Book two finds Eira and Rueben trying to get some justice for Edward's attack on her from the Vampire Counsel. Eira is having trouble controlling her magic with the magic upgrades she's getting from her mates. When Rueben is taken by a vampire hunter (which was outlawed years ago). She will do anything to get him back. Even considering becoming the Fae Winter Queen. I thoroughly enjoyed Eira's strength and determination to get her mate back. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Reigning Eira is the second book in the Fated Seasons series and is about Eira, a descendant of Jack Frost. In this book Eira is dealing with her magic and her mates in this action packed reverse harem story. Loved how Eira and her mates are working together taking on all the challenges on their journey to the throne. The writing is great, the characters are interesting and this paranormal reverse harem is an entertaining read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
An amazing sequel to the Fated Seasons series. It's always fun reading a Laura Greenwood and this time the wonderland that she has created leaves you wanting so much more. Eaira and her mates are a bundle of wit, sarcasm, seriousness and love. The range of emotions that I felt as I read this book actually covered the entire spectrum of the emotional kit that I have. A must read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Waited for a long time! (felt like an eternity) But it was worth it. Now she faces yet another ordeal and she has her mates with her. The Queen is dying and the princess doesn't want anything to do with it. Next in line Eira. It is best to read book 1 first and then this but you could read it alone as well.
Love Eira and all her trials and tribulations her and her men go thru, yet she remains strong and is easily relatable. I hope there is another story with her and her men! Yes, I definitely recommend this book and it had a fantastic HEA!
