Clover is an orphan and has led a tough and chaotic life. No stability. No money. No friends. He trusts no one.
His already miserable life takes a nosedive when he ends up in the hands of a human trafficking gang. Someone has placed a request for a young albino man, and Clover is to become the property of a mysterious buyer who will stop at nothing to satisfy their depraved desire. Clover’s fate seems sealed until four bounty hunters appear to take out his captors and accidentally save him.
The four mercenaries want to move on, but when Clover pleads for protection, they offer it to him at a price. In the beginning, the arrangement is all kinds of shady, but as he gets to know the four men who’ve taken him on a wild ride, his developing feelings might become as dangerous as the elusive buyer.
But can a relationship with four such different men even work? Men who kill for a living? Men so full of contradictions?
Tank. The massive ex-soldier eager to be Clover’s Daddy. Pyro. Wild, tattooed, with a filthy mouth and an itch for violence. Boar. Ginger, bearded, a big teddy bear who can turn into a grizzly. Drake. Dark and dangerous, with a tongue as sharp as his knives.
Can these men provide him with the love and security he craves? Or has Clover made the worst mistake of his life?

I went into this one with a degree of uncertainty. How on earth would it work? I mean five men! I shouldn't have worried because these Authors weaved their magic again here.
Clover has a distinctive look and it seems anything can be ordered for the right price. When he's captured by Human traffickers he finds himself in an impossible situation but are things about to go from bad to worse in the form of 4 mercenaries who come to his rescue.
One of the things I admire about these Authors books is that they, invariably, step outside of the comfort zone.A lot of their books have featured a character with a disability and while Clover's albinism isn't really a disability, it definitely isn't the norm.
Another thing I like is that they create characters who are just a little bit bratty, difficult, inclined to go there own way consequences be damned. And Clover is definitely that type of character.Initially he tries to manipulate the situation with the four men to his advantage but it isn't long before his actions force him to be more honest and feelings start to take over.
Yes,feelings because while this book is heavily focused on sex there's so much more going on here. And the sex is an extremely important part of this story. It's not just gratuitous,it's about each of the mercenaries finding their own connection with Clover and honestly it was so sweet at times.I especially loved the connection between Clover and Boar.
The main focus of the book is the relationship that develops between the men and I don't know how the Authors have managed it but it totally worked.I could feel each connection Clover developed with the four men who were so different but so likeable for different reasons.
I've got no idea what to expect in the next instalment but I'm really looking forward to more from these men.
(Must mention the way Clover got his name-found,abandoned in a clover field when he was a baby, both sweet and sad.)
Poly romances usually aren’t my thing, but you know what is my thing? K.A. Merikan! I honestly think I’m at the point where I’d read anything they offer up, regardless of the sometimes questionable themes within. I’m that far gone on these ladies and their unique brand of M/M romance.
Their Bounty was one scorching hot read. Featuring one twinky albino and four lethal and possessive mercenaries, this story kind of forces reality out the window as these five men explore the various sexual and emotional dynamics within their group, all while kicking some bad guy ass in an attempt to keep their boy safe.
What worked really well for me here was how clear and distinctive each character was. In group dynamics such as this, it’s often easy for characters to blur together or some to fade into the background, making it difficult to distinguish who is who. That was not the case here. Every single one of these five men were unique and well-defined straight off the bat, and I liked them all so much that I’m not even sure which mercenary was ultimately my favourite. (I totally lie; it was Drake!!!)
This was a sex-heavy story, featuring everything from menage scenes, DP, bondage, spanking, exhibitionism, etc. It was all pretty damn dirty and hot, so no complaints here, and thankfully there was still enough of a plot and enough action to keep this story flowing really damn well.
So although this may not have been my usual fare, I can safely say it was a huge hit for me. I very much look forward to seeing where things go in the sequel for this group of complex, dangerous, and damn sexy men.
These ladies have some kind of wizardly magic going on because every off the wall thing they write about, which most of us wouldn't usually read about, they make you either like it or love it. So even though this kind of story is not my cuppa, (I honestly don't care for this kind of story-line at all) I still sent them my info when I got an email asking me if I was interested in reading an early copy. Look, these are the only authors I would take a chance on reading when it has come to most of the stuff they have written. I mean a lot of the things they've written about I wouldn't even bother reading with most other authors. They just have that something that makes you want to take a chance on their book no matter how much the subject may make you cringe or think, "No way is this going to turn out good". Because in the end, it does work. You do end up coming away from the story in aw that you either liked it or loved it. So color me not surprised that they took a story-line that I usually don't care for and made me like it.
Clover is unique in his looks and these looks may just cost him his life. He is in high command by a person who won't stop until they get their prize. But four men step in and not only claim his body, but also his heart. Tank just wants him to be his boy and to call him, Daddy. Pyro wants to disrupt him and dirty him up a bit. Boar just wants to cuddle and love him. Drake wants to see him tied up and begging. They are all very different and play different roles in Clover's life. And here is where I usually have a problem. It's really hard to make a story like this feel like a romance to me when there are so many players playing the game. But like always, these ladies did a really great job and making these men unique in their own way that it was easy to follow. They all have a different connection with Clover and him with them. And they will do everything they can to keep their boy.
The story was very steamy with lots of sex. There's also a story tho. I would love to get to know these men more tho. That is my only real complaint. Maybe more on the four men in the next book, which I am so glad will be out soon.
Happy reading dolls! xx
I received an ARC from the author's in exchange for an honest review.
This bounty ain’t the quilted quicker picker upper for me, did not like. Could not get into the writing or the story because sex started way too soon and Clover went from being traumatized to “yes I would like to have all the dicks”.
I was already very iffy because Clover is albino and I know the real life atrocities albinos face in todays world but I’m not gonna get into that. Just didn’t like the writing and the story is not for me no matter how much I was down for some harem style loving.
I know summaries in review are a bit redundant since you can just read the blurb but… I feel like this is the only way to format it.
Characters:
*Clover:* MC where in his head 90% of the story He is albino Red/blue eyes White hair everywhere Described as a twink Helpless And likes to fuck There’s no depth to these characters so to sum of Clover; he’s an albino twink who likes to fuck
*Tank*: Board shoulders Likes to Work out Likes to fuck
Again no depth, we literally no nothing besides that
*Drew* Slender Doesn’t like Clover for a good majority of the story Likes bondage Has scars Was trafficked Opens up (not really) to Clover about his past Likes knives
A little more but still surface level
Pyro Had a blue Mohawk High libido In a relationship with Boar Likes twinks Military kid
He likes to fuck, that’s about it
Boar Sensitive (not a bad thing) And you guessed it likes to fuck
Summary: Clover is 19 years old and living in Arizona and is part of the little “gang”. He does petty crime and his n exchange he gets a place to sleep. Jerry is the ring leader and Clover sees him as a friend. But Jerry ends up being a backstabbing money hungry pig and sells Clover. He ends up in the custody of some guy named Riggs and he ends being chained to a pipe in the guys house. He’s terrified and all these worst case scenarios are running through his head. He’s broke out of his thoughts when he hears gunshots and a bunch of noise. That’s when we meet the mercenaries. Tank, Drew, Pyro, and Boar (and yes I did them in order from favorite to least favorite). Tank is the first one to see Clover and instantly wants to fuck him (ha words) and “rescues him”. Clover is still wary and decides to play the whole innocent act but they see through his bullshit and they end up taking him to they’re warehouse. He and Tank get to talking and Clover and asks him to take him to New York in exchange for his body. He immediately agree and they get to fucking. Then they tell the other guys and Pyro and Boar hop on the sex train expect Drew who stays firmly at the station. He doesn’t trust Clover at all and keeps his distance. Anyways they fall into a relatonfuck.
All sounds good? But I had some niggles
CLOVERS HELPLESSNESS (I can’t make my works bold or underlined :(()
Okay helplessness annoys me a lot in books. Maybe that’s another reason I don’t like mf so much. It’s just irks me to see someone to depend on someone for everything. You would think there wouldn’t be gender norms in mm but… Clover is this little slender guy who can’t really see and and can’t protect himself. He’s always depending on the 4 guys to protect him, feed him, and clothe him. It’s so annoying to read about and the character just comes off as weak
CLOVERS TRUST ISSUES/BOAR INCIDENT
omg I got it the beginning but when I’m 70% or 90 in and he’s still doubting the people he claims to love I’m pretty confused and annoyed. The whole Boar thing was sooo dumb. They’re having a nice little picnic and he has to run his mouth and say that the whole situation was just fucking. Boar gets a bit hurt and says it more than that. Than Clover says “you’re pretty sensitive/emotional for a killer” (something along those lines). Boars upset about and tells Pyro. Pyro tells Tank and he spanks Clover (who refuses to apologize) and then Pyro pretty much rapes Clover. I don’t care that Clover said he was fine with it he obviously wasn’t it, and it was a punishment fuck so. Anyways that whole ordeal was between Boar and Clover no one else needed to be involved.
THE WHOLE BOUNTY THING Another thing I don’t like. How everyone loves/wants this one MC. There were multiple times where people tried to take Clover from them. He couldn’t have been that special 🙄 and when he does get kidnapped it’s so dumb. They’re tired of everyone trying to take him so they somehow are able to figure out who is behind the whole thing and use him as bait. Of course it goes wrong and he’s kidnapped, nothing happens to him he just accepts his fate and thinks that they won’t come for him. Of course they come in guns blazing and the THREE of them take down a lot more than three people. It was so corny.
THEY KILLED A DOG The woman who was behind the whole thing had a dog. He would attack anyone that would attack her. He wasn’t a fkn threat! He was trained! They shot him in the head! So wrong! They could have done anything else. Take him to a vet, a shelter, re-home him etc. Anything besides shooting him in the head. And they did is so casually, like they didn’t just kill an innocent animal 😒
But there was things I liked
DRAKE he was definitely my favorite. He saw Clover for what he was. And although there wasn’t a lot a depth a got some sort of an idea of who he was
THE SEX Yeah it was super hot Rimming Blowies Public sex Threesomes Bondage daddy kink
THE ACTION Although it was OTT is was still fun to read about.
I still really enjoyed this book. It was light and fun. All the things I mentioned I really could overlook just not the dog.
This is pure Merikan - filthy in the best way, dirty and hot as a volcano, just a little bit twisted but with a core of solid steel romance at the centre.
Four men, each uniquely drawn with vibrant personalities and talents and a fifth, the anchor around which to secure their kinks and desires and the who drives the narrative forward.
I can't make up my mind who I love best. Tank, the strong Daddy, taking care of his crew, or Boar, enthusiastic and sweet with a need to connect, fiery Pyro, hot tempered and sexually aggressive, or Drake, sullen and hiding a painful secret.
Each of them brings something different for Clover and he shamelessly hoards all their desires and affections.
The suspense element is, as always with this writing duo, well planned and still brings a surprise even though it's blindingly obvious once you know!
I am loving this new series.
#ARC kindly received from the authors in return for an honest and unbiased review.
So .. usually, I’m not one for ménage. 😅 I just feel like there’s something quite not right about ménage romance. However, if you know me, you know how much I adore Merikans and their morally ambiguous heroes. 😉 So when a new harem book by my two favorite authors came out, I had to read/listen it. And let me tell you, I loved it! 😍
Clover lives in a harsh, cruel world. Being an orphan and a street urchin, he was already living a difficult life. But when being sold as a pet because of his unique albino looks, it’s like a endless, hopeless pit for clover. And then he was very unceremoniously rescued by four rough, hunky mercenaries who were chasing down his captor, human trafficker. It started as an arrangement for protection but turns out to be something much much more. Will Clover find ultimate happiness, safety and love that he has already secretly craved in the arms of four different men?
Unique, fresh and utterly addicting. 🥰 I loved the different personalities and characteristics of these five men and how they handled and navigated their blossoming lives. I was in love with Tank the daddy, seduced by rough and wild Pyro, charmed by Boar the care teddy bear and enthralled by the enigmatic Drake. 😌 The storyline was quite interesting too. We don’t see many books that venture into these dark territories so I loved the uniqueness of it. And my, this was filthy and erotic to the next level. Scorching hot! 🔥 I think Wyatt Baker did a fantastic job narrating this story. I’m definitely going to check out next book in the series. 😉
4 love isn’t limited to just one person stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The story follows Clover, a beautiful young albino guy who is saved from being trafficked by four bounty hunters. But since he's not safe and someone is after him, he pleads for help with the men, but that protection... comes at a price :>.
This was filth. It was hot, twisted and utterly dirty. It was romantic as well!
I think the biggest challenge in polyamory romance, especially the kind that includes 5 people, is to make each and every character distinct so that the reader doesn’t get completely confused and lost while reading. K.A.Merikan nailed that part. I never had to stop and think about who’s who and who’s talking every time, not even at the beginning. Each character is very unique:
Tank, the leader. The level headed bear. He’s Daddy! Boar, the romantic, kind hearted, ginger teddy bear. Pyro, laid back but very hard at the edges. Drake, the distrustful, mysterious one. Drake was the only one who resisted for so long to Clover’s charms. He was actually a bit of an asshole. Predictably, he was my favorite.
As for Clover, the albino twink…yeah I totally objectify him, feel free to judge. When you read, keep in mind that Clover is only 19 and has already been through a lot. His level of immaturity and his actions triggered by fear felt very realistic and resonated a lot with me.
The mystery was on the down low for most of the book, what with the story being focused on the dynamics between the five men, but in the end it took a totally unexpected turn, at least for me. I definitely did not see this coming although it was right in front of my eyes the whole time. Well played!
Things escalate pretty quickly sexually, that’s the premise of the story anyway. Romance comes more naturally towards the end of the book, but I suspect there is much more of that to come in the next books.
My biggest fear was that this story would feel unbelievable, not because of the number of partners but because of the deal Clover made with the four guys. Like, how possible is it for four mercenaries to agree to provide protection in exchange of sexual favors? It started that way,as a deal, but it really didn’t feel like this at all. From the first chapters it felt like the guys took pity on Clover, decided to help him and why not have some fun while doing that? At least that was my take on the story.
What Ele’s pervy little heart hopes to see in the next books: -More bonding between the four men. -Sex that includes other pairings as well instead of only Clover being in the middle. -One of the other guys bottoming. -Relationship angst.
I can’t wait to find out what the future holds for the four mercenaries and their bounty!
These girls sure know how to write hot gritty smut !! This book was a great start to a new season. Clover is an albino who has been chased, neglected, sold and abused for most of his life. During a rescue mission Tank and his team find Clover after killing his captor. Instantly Tank is smitten and he takes Clover home with him. Drake is uncertain and apprehensive, Pyro is open to a new “boy” to play with and Boar falls emotionally. This is their story as emotions align and Clovers stalker is uncovered.
Well, I did not think it was possible that I would read and actually enjoy a polygamous/polyamorous story, because it's just not my cup of tea. But I've learned that I need to give everything Kat and Agnes write a chance, because they always manage to surprise me and make me like things I never thought I would before. Kudos to them because there are not many authors who manage to do that.
Now as for the book, it was such a fun, wild and entertaining ride! Clover is in trouble, someone is after him because of his unique looks but swooping in come Tank and his team to rescue him. Something quite morally ambigious follows this event, but that's Kat's and Agnes's specialty after all. Clover makes a deal with the team in exchange for their protection. But what starts out as just a little bit of fun, soon turns more serious than everyone would have guessed.
Each member of Tank's team brings something special to the table and while I do have my favorites *cough* Drake and Tank *cough* I liked that each one of them had a special relationship with Clover and Kat and Agnes tried hard to make them all equal, even if I was sometimes torn with who I rather wanted him to be with. But this book isn't about that, it's about an equal relationship between all of them and sure it's not always sunshine and roses but it worked much better than I expected and I was actually rooting for all of them because each one has a connection to Clover and Clover brings out the best in all of them. As do they for Clover. The poor guy is all alone in the world and now he's gained a family. And who wouldn't love 4 guys pampering the shit out of you :D
While Their Bounty was hot, and I mean hot it wasn't just pure filth as you might expect from a multiple partner relationship. Though there was this one scene that really had me sweating! But there was actually some real emotion in the story. Some scenes that made me tear up hard. Clover is young and naive and sometimes he makes mistakes, but all his feelings and actions really resonated with me and I was quite emotionally invested.
All in all this book suprised me in a good way and I really enjoyed reading about Clover and his men. I'm super excited for the next book! Kat and Agnes already teased that were was gonna be some drama and angst. I can't wait to read it!
2.5 stars Hmmm, had some major issues with communication between characters here.
*************Spoilers**********************
Like, when someone tells you that they grew up in the foster care system, a big red flag labeled "potential abandonment issues" should be waving. And yet, the guys get super upset when Clover rejects Boar when he starts to get attached. I thought that was handled EXTREMELY poorly. That's the closest to a non-con scene I have ever read and it made me want to rate this 1 star and throw the book out a window. But I continued on and it . . . sort of got better. Okay, not really. I wanted Pyro to APOLOGIZE but no. Nothing.
And HELLO Daddy Tank!! You really call yourself a Daddy Dom and approved that almost non-con scene? I was really disappointed in him.
If you are looking for a dark romance, then this is a good one. If anything related to non-con is too triggering for you (looking at you Alabama and Missouri politicians) then I would do a hard pass on this one.
I can’t believe it, but I really enjoyed this entire book. Poly is not my thing at all, but these characters made me like them individually for the odd souls they were. Except Clover, forget Clover, he was pretty much a selfish ass till the last quarter of the book. I guess eventually he grew on me.
So this book is insane. No way are 4 gay mercenaries randomly saving some 19 year old are then going to accept payment for over the top protection by having sex with all of them. I highly doubt assassins share well 🤨. So premise is beyond ridiculous, but I have to say the characters made it worth it and I think I’ll even continue the series.
I want this made into a movie. I’m not talking about a porno either. There was way too much sex to make an average movie, but I want to see these bizarre anti heroes come to life. I honestly want to see someone make this happen.
Drake ❤️ is one scary knife wielding lisping ninja Tank is the Daddy leading the pack Boar is the Susie Homemaker of the assassins Pyro is just F*** nuts with his colorful persona And lastly Clover the slutty glue that brings them closer together
Kudos to Wyatt Baker for some great voices in this audiobook.
I’ve been on a Merikan kick for the darkness and great descriptive writing. I cannot believe I liked this one as much as I did. No spoilers either but there is a plot not just a weird group of mercenaries and an albino having way too much sex.
3.5 stars - So, you get the gist of this story from the blurb, young albino man with no one to miss him is the perfect target for traffickers. It seems here that Clover is chosen for something specific. But, luckily, he is saved by a group of alpha males, two of which are already in a relationship. This story isn’t touted as a fantasy, but I had a hard time not thinking of it that way.
Tank is the leader of this group of mercenaries who have been through thick and thin together and continue to have a pretty strong bond. When they are on a job, they end up saving Clover who was being held captive and sold to some type of sex trafficker. Tank is the one who finds Clover, and they hit it off quickly with the Daddy/Boy relationship after Clover convinces the guys to take him to New York where he hopes to disappear. In exchange for this, Clover offers himself up to the men for sex. The only one not on board is Drake who seemingly has no interest.
Boar and Pyro are the two in an actual relationship and a bit more on the kinkier side. They like to occasionally share a third to fill the gaps sexually. But, Drake is the darker horse here. He clearly has a background that explains some of his issues, and he is the one more into bondage and control. It takes a while, but eventually he gives in as well.
So, there were some interesting aspects to this story, with the creepy lady who wanted Clover, and how the men actually handled things to be able to stop running. And I enjoyed learning about the various backgrounds of each of the guys. However, I admit I had higher hopes for this story, but felt it fell a little short for me when things took somewhat hokey turns. I think a lot of people will love it for that very reason, but I was hoping for a bit more realistic and believable than I ended up getting with this one.
Hot damn! Apparently this is just my kind of book, because I absolutely loved it! I fell head over heals for all 5 of these guys, they’re all amazing in their own way and so good for eachother. I really was hooked from the first page to the last. I can’t wait for more of these guys!
Yeah, no. I should have known better. I have tried reading stuff from the authors several times and now I am finally forever done. The writing is amateurish, the characters flat and basically the same over and over again. With this particular story I was intrigued by the set-up and I cannot believe how bad they f*ed this up?
What is so hard about writing a sexy, maybe slight dub-con menage. Fanfic authors do it every day! What happened here turned my stomach before anyone had even taken their clothes off it was so unsexy and not remotely sultry and seductive as I am sure the authors imagined.
3.5 Stars. This is an entertaining harem romance. The plot isn't as dark as I was expecting though. All the big bad mercenaries fell into protective mode so quickly that I was a bit disappointed. Considering how much this seemed set up for a bit of Stockholm syndrome with some early dubcon at the very least I was surprised at this easy beginning. This is consensual (if trading sex for safety can be called that in this uneven power dynamic) from the very beginning.
I'm having a bit of trouble connecting to Boar. His characterization is very contradictory in ways that don't make sense to me.
The sex scenes and dirty talk are very well done.
Another pass through for copy editing for continuity and proofreading wouldn't have hurt. Many times it seems like the authors got tangled up in what was going on or left out important details. (At one point Tank has his fingers in Clovers mouth but Drake is able to tenderly lick Clovers bottom lip. I can't make that work in my head the way that scene is described, especially since Drake's issue around that isn't even mentioned - which happens a lot, like they forgot he has some unique features). Clover and his glasses have a lot of moments of non continuity... Overall, just a lot of places where little details get left out or get in the way.
Tank, Pyro, Boar and Drake are four mercenaries. They're not bad but not good either. They're dangerous, intense and fierce, no one can messed with them, no one... except Clover. Clover is a beautiful young man, he's an albinos and the target of a human traffick ring. When the four mercenaries rescue him, Clover made a deal with them.. their protections against his beautiful and hot body. They won't be ready for what will hit them... But first they all need to find a way to keep Clover safe.
“If you break the rules, there will be consequences. You’re ours, and we protect what’s ours.”
OOOOOOH and we have a winner.. Clover. I adored him, he's sassy and kinky. He has an innocence look but he's everything but innocent. I loved how , one by one, he won the heart of his men. Tank, Pyro , Boar and Drake are four men completely different from each other but complementary. Tank is the daddy, Pyro's the wild man, Boar's the softy heart and Drake's the intense temper. They all bring something unique to Clover. I can't choose between them, like Clover, I want them all.
The plot is captivating, the story's well build and the characters are well develloped . The book is mostly from Clover's POV but we have at least 1 chapter from each mercenaries with 2 chapters from Tank. I loved it, it put a good rythmic to the story. It was well writen with lot of actions and fun. The sex scenes were super hot, kinky but not vulgar at all. It wasn't too much or not enough, it wasn't a book with only sex without a story, it's not the case here, we have a real story, with real feelings build between the Mcs.
I can't wait to read the next one. Good Job Misses Merikan!
First off I'm 100% Drake Fan-Girl! I didn't want to like him at first but when we found out more about him I fell in love. Hope to read more of his story in later books.
Drugged and Sold to human traffickers by your friend/boss? What's a guy to do? Get rescued by 4 sexy mercenaries! Clover went through some bad shit but now life is looking up. 4 men who adore him and want to please him and have sex ALL THE TIME!!
Another great book by the Merikans!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
This was a fun read. Not really much in line for plot, but we all know that’s not the reason we read it. 😂 the smut is like every chapter, so get ready!

This book was just not for me... I saw it labeled “Dark and Delicious” by someone on amazon and I just don’t get it.
To me this whole book was whiny and beyond immature. I liked the team but Clover pissed me off, he’s supposed to be a somewhat hardened 19 year old but in all reality he acted worse than 14 year old spoiled princess. I get that he’s got abandonment issues and just wants to be loved but if I wanted to read about petty spoiled kids I’d go back to MF reading. Sure the sex was hot, but Unfortunately it just doesn’t make up for the rest. At 70% is where I just decided I don’t even care what happens anymore...
A few other things that bothered my were minor editing issues such as the dreaded missing “ in a conversation vs internal thoughts, and missing commas that caused things to just run together.
Not going to lie I also loath the cover. I hate when authors pick covers that do not come close to matching characters described (stick with below the neck pics imo).... Sorry but when I think 19 year old albino twink I do not envision the main guy on the cover... maybe 30 year old former twink...
I will probably read something else from these authors but I will not continue this series.
