He took my breath, took my innocence and left me carrying his baby - longing for more. There are so many reasons to stay away from Ash Thorne…and I’m about to ignore every one.
I’m the bad boy from the wrong part of town. Dangerous. Disreputable. Devilish. I live my life hard, fast and rough - and that’s exactly how I like it. Until she walks into it, like a breath of fresh air I didn’t know I needed. Adorable, sweet and oh-so-innocent. With an enthusiasm for life I hadn't realized I’d lost. Gorgeous curves, the cutest spattering of freckles and that sparkle in her eyes... She’s never even felt a man’s touch. She doesn’t belong here - but how can I resist? I take her home and show her everything she’s been missing out on…the kind of night she’ll never forget.
I don’t expect to see her again. She knows better than to get involved with a guy like me. But then she surprises me in more ways than one. When she does come back around? She’s carrying my baby. I’m going to be a f*cking Daddy!
She’s terrified, of course. Her parents are ultra-conservative and she doesn’t have a plan. I don’t give a f*ck about any of that - her assh*le father doesn’t intimidate me. But I have a past she knows nothing about - and the people coming after me? They’re something else entirely. There’s a reason pure, sweet Chloe should never have gotten involved with me. This baby is a complication neither of us can afford…but the moment she tells me, none of that matters. For the first time, I find myself wanting something else. Another life. A family. With her.
And when my past comes back to haunt me? I’ll fight for it with everything I have.
Forbidden Baby Daddy is a full, standalone romance with a roguish bad boy hero and a fiery heroine who's determined to start living a little. No cheating or cliffhangers, and a Happily Ever After guaranteed.
Lara Swann writes hot, sexy romance with a touch of humor and a lot of passion. She has a thing for wounded alpha heroes and the fiery women who steal their hearts.
Her relationships are funny, sexy and spicy, and she gets as many thrills in pitting her characters against each other as she does when they eventually come together in an explosion of heat.
When she isn’t living in one of her many fantasy worlds, she attempts to focus on her respectable day job in a large, too-expensive city and dreams of a lake house in the country.

Chloe and Ash are opposites. When they meet at a bar, sparks fly. The spend a wild night together and Chloe ends up pregnant. What will happen when her conservative parents find out she is pregnant, what will happen when has finds out? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, steamy chemistry and emotion. I was hooked from beginning to end. I really liked it.
I enjoyed this book, but not as much as I hoped to when I purchased it.
When I think of a badass alpha hero like the one described in the blurb, I would never think of Ash. From the second he meets Chloe, he's this super sweet, super thoughtful, super responsible dude who has no edge or badassery aside from the description of his appearance (he has tattoos and rides a motorcycle).
The book is written in first person, and whenever we're in Ash's head, it might as well be Chloe's. It's very clear that it's a woman talking/thinking, and, of course, the author is female, but most of the time when I read books like this, there's a clear difference in the female narration and male narration. I didn't really like Ash's voice, as much as I wanted to, because it didn't at all scream "badass" to me. It didn't even scream "I have a dark side and/or can be tough at times."
Finally, the whole thing just moves so damn slow. I feel like the blurb promised action and drama and there was NONE. Halfway through the book is the first time we hear anything "dangerous" from Ash's past, and it's pretty much over and done with immediately and doesn't resurface until the VERY end (which is very, very far away). The rest of the "action" is just both characters thinking the other thinks a way that they don't and Chloe arguing with her parents as if she's 15.
Oh, and to top it all off, our big conflict at the end? Yeah, nothing is solved at all. *here comes a spoiler* Ash explains nothing, provides no reasoning for the crazy shit that happened, and pulls out a ring which Chloe quickly accepts, no questions asked. *end of spoiler*
I did like the characters at their core and thought the author had a good voice. I was interested enough in the story to read it to the end, but it was more because I'd already become invested and less because I was head over heels in love with the story, as I like to be when reading a novel.
If the stuff I mentioned above doesn't bother you, I'd recommend this book. It was well-written and the characters were well developed, I just couldn't get past the above, and that's why I gave it three stars.
I really enjoyed this story. It is on the longer side so we definitely get to really know the characters. This book has a slower pace to it as well. We get a lot more details because of this. The book had some of that slow burn to it because of the pacing of the story. Chloe has grown up, and still lives, in a very strict and religious household. She doesn't hold the exact same beliefs as her parents but she hasn't really had a chance to figure out what all of hers are. She meets her friend Nat who expands her world some by bringing her to a biker bar where meets Ash. No one expected things to go where they did but there are no regrets. For the most part, I enjoyed the slow burn aspect of this story. We really get to see Ash and Chloe build a relationship together. They had one night together and Chloe ends up pregnant. This story held my attention throughout. There is a little bit of danger and intrigue but the story mostly focuses on Ash and Chloe and figuring out what to do with this life changing event. They have to figure out what they want and how to get to that point. This story was well written and flows very well. The sex is explicit and blended into the story well. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Chloe is from a strict religious family and when they start trying to dictate her life choices for school and career she takes off to her friends place. Her friend takes to a bar she hasn't been to before to try and cheer her up. While there she notices several looks coming their way and points out that they don't belong which is why people is staring at them. Ash is drawn to the young woman that is in the motorcycle bar and when her friend goes to the bathroom he makes his move. Chloe takes a risk and leaves with him they have an amazing night ad she doesn't ever expect to see him again. However fate has other plans when weeks later she finds out that she's pregnant. What will her family say about this news? Will Ash step up and help her?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

They where total opposites and should never have met let alone fallen in love but love can conquer all
Chloe just wants to do art but with her over religious family and the hard hand of her father she is not allowed to make any decisions for herself When she rebels and heads to a bar with her friend Nathan she has no idea what she is starting . At the bar she meets Ash he is a member of an MC and owns a motorcycle repair shop When their attraction leads to a visit to a motel and her losing her virginity will they be prepared for the consequences. They decide to raise their child together and in the process they will fall i love but can that love survive his MC and her domineering family. This is a beautiful love story about opposite attracting and love triumphing
Ash and Chloe… can there be two more differing characters than those two? I don’t think so, with their very different backgrounds. But nevertheless they click from the very first instant and that is just heartwarming. Fighting all the difficulties along the way… that is really inspiring. With all the lightheartedness of first love comes the real threat of Ash’s past catching up on him and his fear for Chloe and their unborn child to be put in danger by being around him… Both parts – the lightness of those butterfly feelings and the thrill of the lurking danger- are delicately and skillfully interwoven and sends the reader through a tide of emotions. Just perfect!
Chloe meets Ash on a night she's looking for something a little dangerous and exciting. Ash is all that and more so when she gets offered to go on a ride, she's all for it. After a night of fun, Ash wakes to find Chloe gone and nothing left but a note. Even though Ash feels a little disappointment, he knows it is for the best. Weeks go by and life moves on until Chloe shows up one day with some unexpected news. On top of everything else, Ash is in the middle of dealing with some dangerous people and now he has Chloe to look after.
This was a really good read. The story is entertaining and full of drama and unexpected turns. I voluntarily reviewed a ARC
When Cloe takes a chance on a one-night stand on leather jacket wearing, motorcycle riding Ash- she did not expect for her conservative lifestyle to turn upside down, or the fact she likes the side he brings out in her! What is she going to with all these new feelings and the obstacles in her and Ash's way? That is a whole other issue! What a sexy, frustrating, sweet and snarky fast moving romance! I love a book that grabs my attention, holds it throughout and gets me a little worked up! Unique characters with a detailed free flowing storyline- I thoroughly enjoyed Lara Swan's latest forbidden bad boy romance!
Chloe is living at home with her conservative parents and is frustrated because of their rules and attitudes. When she meets Ash and falls for him immediately she takes a chance. Weeks later she returns because she's pregnant. Ash and Chloe are opposites and yet they complete each other. Not just a forbidden romance, Chloe offers hope and a future for Ash that he wouldn't have found without her and he offers her a new life that she needs from him. Of course they face the normal obstacles and ups and downs but the two are so good for each other you'll love them. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
Great story that totally took me by surprise. I could actually relate to many situations depicted in this story and that lead to have my feelings front and center while reading. I really like the characters, especially Ash. It was so refreshing to read a character so devoted and without the macho alpha personality taking over every single interaction he has with other characters. I especially loved how this book portraits men as responsible parties that can get as excited and absolutely terrified about an unexpected pregnancy as any woman. It really is a story with many twists and drama that everyone can enjoy
Sparks fly when Chloe and Ash meet at a bar, he's a biker who she knows she should stay clear of. She works at her parents shop very much under their control, but she wants to spend her time dedicating to her love of art and creating it! They spend a wild night together and Chloe ends up pregnant. Her church going parents don’t take the news of pregnancy well. She tells Ash who says he’ll support her decision. Lots of action follows, this is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama, off the clock chemistry and emotions running high. I was hooked from beginning to end. I lovely story – well worth the read!
Ash and Chloe are going to take your hand and give you a fun, bit of danger, full on romance ride that takes many twists.
Lara did such an awesome job with the characters. You feel for Chloe and want her to do for her and have some fun.
Ash has a few secrets and in a bit of trouble but trouble or not you don't mess with what's his. Get ready to enjoy a great book that is exactly how romance should be....unpredictable, fun, spicy and characters that you relate to.
I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
Well this one definitely gave us alot to think about. We have a young lady who wants to make her parents happy but at what expense. She does the unthinkable, falls for the bad boy biker and finds out a few weeks later...bam she's pregnant. To make things worse he has to deal with his past, that causes some issues all around. By the time we get to the end I'm so happy with the outcome. This has to be my favorite book by Lara. I've read a few. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.
I enjoyed it. A great accidental baby book. They’re completely different. He’s from “the wrong side of the tracks”, tough, hard and very, very hot. He’s a bad boy all the way through. She’s beautiful, young, innocent, sheltered and held back. Her parents guide her every move even though she reached adulthood years ago. A chance meeting allows sparks to fly and an innocent baby to be created. The heat hasn’t gone anywhere, and the more they get to know each other, the more they fall. So many obstacles standing in their way. The only question is if they can fight through them all. Great story!
Chloe had had he life controlled by her parents for too long, and an act of rebellion leads her to meet Ash who owns a motorcycle shop. Their one nights has unexpected results, which brings Chloe back into Ash’s life. This is a well written story which is filled with drama, twists, danger, and is an all round entertaining read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner and look forward to reading more form this talented author, whose work I recommend for all.
This was a really good story, well written, and held my attention. I loved Chloe and Ash. They were the definition of opposites attract. I really enjoyed how real and relatable they were. Their relationship was filled with angst, obstacles, ups and downs, as well as romance. Chloe and Ash had me cheering for them the whole way though. I would definitely recommend reading this one. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
I absolutely loved this book! Chloe who is an artist lived a sheltered life living under the shadow of her strict religious parents. Ash is a bike rider from the bad part of the city. Needing to get away one night she runs into him at a bar and they have an instant connection. She is trying to discover herself through her art, while he is trying to escape his past. I highly recommend reading their story.
3 1/2* Chloe meets Ash in a biker bar she’s looking for fun living with her strict religious parents isn’t helping. After a thrilling one night they don’t expect to see each other again but fate makes it happen. Two people complete opposites but a strong attraction to each other. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I love books when the romance between them carry on through them finding out they're going to have a baby till the baby comes unexpectedly . The story line head good the characters were believable and it had all the parts in it I liked. I'm off to buy another of her books
One night of passion turns two lives and their worlds upside down. Is a baby enough for them to find common ground on top of the scorching chemistry? Or will there be more obstacles than they can withstand? Lovely well written book!
How could you possibly not love a biker with the name of Ash. Chloe, a naïve young woman, looking to explore being on her own and away from her parents. The two unlikely people come together in a beautiful love story. I highly recommend this book.
