Don’t really know exactly when I read this book but it was when I was in the throws of motherhood and drowning being outnumbered and exhausted and not sure if I was doing the right things. I felt so much pressure by all the other Christian moms who seemed to have it all together. This book made me feel normal and encouraged me to keep my focus on God and his grace. She does a good job at sharing relatable stories and then using scripture to answer the daily challenges of parenting. I highly recommend this book to any young mom who needs encouragement while trying to raise her kids in Christ. It is an easy read which is great for a busy mom.
This book is written in short 3-4 page lessons about God and faith that she is learning from her children. This was perfect for this busy season of moving, since I have been so tired and busy it is all I can read before falling asleep! Nothing is revolutionary but it is a great reminder to see how God is using the day to day to shape you. And to use even those small moments to show God to our children.
I used this book as a daily devotional over the course of a couple of months. The chapters are short so I read one chapter per day. It was so refreshing, especially on the hard days as a mom. This will be a book that I will read over and over.
This was my "bathroom reading" for the past year. :) LOL The chapters are short and so I could get one in once in awhile. There are a lot of encouraging reminders as well as many challenging parts to this book - about relying on God and letting Him work through us as moms. I definately would recommend this book.
Using personal experiences and biblical supports, this book continually brings moms back to the truth of Christ. Chapters are short, perfectly sized for busy moms. It's a great devotional. Highly recommended.
I read this after having Lucas. It was uplifting, encouraging, and refreshing. Very short chapters and something you could use anytime during motherhood to keep your eye on the ball. :)
A great, quick devotional for the busy woman and mom. She pulls from real-life events to make her stories relatable. Very uplifting and encouraging for when you're having "one of those days".
