Yin BiYue has made the worst purchase ever. After transmigrating countless times into the bodies of canon fodder villains, he buys a ‘Fiend Halo’ from the Rebirth Company, supposedly the best aid for an up and coming final BOSS!
He’s ecstatic to finally get a villainous role where he won’t die after just a few lines, if any at all, and is raring to become the best opponent a protagonist will have… However, why was everyone looking at him with pitying eyes? Why was the protagonist rushing over to help him get out of his crimes? Most importantly, why was his ‘Fiend Halo’ just making things worse?!
Meanwhile, the intern salesperson at the Rebirth Company discovers that he might have accidentally sold a prototype White Lotus Halo to a certain villain…

I can't keep up with all the info dumping. The character's names are also similar to those in SVSSS. For example, Luo MingChuan is the ML but I couldn't stop thinking it was Luo Binghe. They also had very similar traits.
It has a unique opening though but I just don't think this one is for me.
1st ARC: Chapter 1 — Rebirth Company An intern at the Rebirth Company was bored out of his mind when a soul walked in. This soul shone like 24k gold. For those unfamiliar, 24k gold is 100% pure. Delighted to finally make his first sale, the intern soon discovered that the soul had earned this golden aura by transmigrating through numerous worlds as a side character. His roles were so minor that he couldn’t even see the main couple from the front row—and naturally, he was always the first to die. Now, this soul had one wish: to become the final boss—the ultimate villain.
2nd ARC: Chapters 2–11 — Prison & Trial Due to an accident, the soul was sent to a xianxia world with a mysterious halo. Unbeknownst to him, it was a white lotus halo—a passive ability that would activate automatically three times to assist the host. The soul was now in the body of Yin Biyue (MC), who was imprisoned, accused of setting up a deadly formation that nearly killed the protagonist Luo MingChuan (ML) and 32 fellow cultivators.
When ML visited to interrogate MC, the halo activated for the first time. As a result, ML became convinced he had once forced himself on MC, and that the formation was actually a transportation array meant to take them both to his hometown. Wracked with guilt, ML confessed everything during the trial, shocking his master and confusing MC—who had no idea what the halo had done.
The two were given a light sentence, which angered their fellow sect members. However, after examining the array and realizing it was harmless—and hearing rumors of a romance between MC and ML—the sect decided to support them.
3rd ARC: Chapters 12–50 — Zhong Ming Mountain’s Flower Picking Festival MC, ML, and MC’s junior brother Duan ChongXuan traveled to Zhong Ming Mountain for a competition. The winner would be allowed to climb the mountain and pick a rare lotus flower said to grant rebirth.
During this arc, ML solidified his feelings for MC. However, since MC hadn’t yet reached adulthood, ML decided to wait patiently.
4th ARC: Chapters 51–65 — Xingshan Temple After eating the lotus flower, MC’s hair turned white-gray. Only the readers knew this was a harmless side effect of the white lotus halo. MC thought it looked a bit dramatic but wasn’t worried. However, ML believed it was a sign of poison or a curse and insisted on traveling the world to find a cure. MC agreed to join him.
While traveling, both learned that ML might be the reincarnation of a powerful demonic cultivator.
5th ARC: Chapters 66–82 — Journey with the Sword Saint ML unknowingly began cultivating demonic techniques and reached the 8th stage. To reach the 9th stage, he had two options: consume human energy or perform dual cultivation (which involves sex). MC, unaware of the true meaning, suggested they do it together. ML refused and offered to destroy his demonic cultivation and start over, even though it would weaken him.
Later, monks tried to capture ML due to his demonic aura. MC’s master, the Sword Saint, intervened and saved them. MC then chose to travel with his master, asking ML not to do anything reckless and to wait for him.
Meanwhile, demonic cultivators sensed their master, Mo ChangYuan, was about to awaken. Believing ML to be his reincarnation, they prepared for war. To resist them, ML was gravely injured.
6th ARC: Chapters 83–119 — Virtuous vs. Demonic MC took ML to a secluded place to recover. There was a possibility that ML, upon waking, would become the Demonic Master. At this point, the intern from the Rebirth Company found MC and explained the halo mishap. He offered to remove the halo and let MC choose compensation.
MC asked if ML would really become the Demonic Master. The intern explained that it would only happen if MC stabbed ML with his sword—which was also the only weapon capable of killing the Demonic Master.
The conversation helped MC realize his own feelings: he was in love with ML. The intern gave MC a talisman to contact him again if needed.
In Chapter 85, MC and ML finally performed dual cultivation. However, ML used his power to put MC in a trance-like state, while MC mistakenly believed the halo had activated and that he had forced himself on ML. Regardless, MC went all out, confessed his love, and even promised a grand wedding.
ML was amused by the misunderstanding but also found this new, earnest version of MC very endearing.
Final Notes: While this isn’t officially divided into arcs, I came up with these to help other readers follow the story more easily. Around Chapter 64, most of the chapters were machine-translated (MTL), and although the new translator did their best, xianxia MTLs are notoriously hard to follow. I’m not a big fan of xianxia usually, but I found this one really cute—mostly because of MC. Once he and ML became a couple, MC often liked to cling to ML, which was adorable.
