A High-Resolution Conclusion!

Having gone along for the reader’s rollercoaster ride throughout Book 1(‘Control’) and Book 2 (‘Bound') in the psychological thriller, ‘Mystery of Landon Miller’ series—I had to buckle up for Book 3 (‘Freedom’).

Once more, my reading journey experienced several heart-stopping moments in a story laced with unforeseen plot twists and turns all the way to the end of the book.

‘Freedom’ is told through the first-person narrative of Landon Miller via the author’s cinematic eye for incremental details and accuracy in tapping into the previous books. Landon Miller reveals what happened to him fifteen years ago to shape his life’s mission for Miller Holdings. As Miller shares his past and present, the reader acquires a whole new perspective by delving beneath the image of a businessman in a three-piece suit with a reserved demeanor. Most importantly, Landon shares the depths of his feelings for Lexi.

Those who’ve already read Books 1 and 2 must embark on this high-resolution conclusion in the series. If you haven’t yet read the previous two books, what are you waiting for?

The Best of the Trilogy!

I have truly enjoyed each of Gauthier’s installments in The Mystery of Landon Miller Series, but this one, by far, is my favorite. Where the first two are told by Lexi’s POV, this one comes from Landon, and finally – FINALLY – we know what he’s all about. Is he really just a playboy with “Control” issues, or is he “Bound” by a deeper code? “Freedom” will provide you all these answers and more. But the most important question? Will he get the girl? You’ll have to read it to find out. Excellent conclusion to a powerful series.

Freedom #3 - Another suspenseful, intriguing continuation of Control and Bound, which must be read before reading this book. Well written, suspense filled and intriguing and told by Landon, we find out the rest of the story. Ms. Gauthier has done wonderful job with her descriptions, planning and combining bits of Control and Bound as needed; as well as the gamut of emotions experienced. A very addicting, substantial series that must be read. I contacted the author to review her books and luckily it was Landon's story.

Control #1 - Not into BDSM, which doesn't get too graphic continuously, just in one scene. Didn't care for Lexi, a weak woman making bad decisions. I didn't trust Landon, a damaged character with more going on than the story lets surface. The story did get interesting, filled with suspense. By the way it ends, I'm assuming there's more to come. Disregarding the subject matter, Control was actually hard to put down once started, even though the first few chapters were slow going. I contacted the author to review her books, not knowing what the book was about.

Bound #2 - A suspenseful, action-packed, humorous continuation of Control. The beginning is slow, but the pace picks up quickly and keeps it up. Lexi redeems herself, and along with Landon, is full of surprises. Leroy is a great supporting character. If you like stories about the Mafia, read this. For those who care, there's infrequent cursing and no sex. Hopefully, we'll see more of Leroy and Landon; I get the impression there's more to their story.

Longing - Glad to get background on Leroy, I found him an interesting character in Control and Bound. The author tells interesting, suspenseful, action-packed stories, but does have a problem with grammar, word usage and punctuation. For those who care, she doesn't use vulgar language, and other than one sex scene in Control, there's no sex. There's improvement between Longing and Bound, and I hope to see Leroy and Landon in future books. I was put on a mailing list and received this short story.

The Christmas Miracle Series are a group of short stories concerning a man discovering love and his adaption to the changes that love brings to his life. The stories are interesting and quickly read, although I would have preferred a complete book. On Easter has a cliffhanger ending, but by this book's release, the reader knows there's more to the story yet to come.

Once Upon a Fabulous Time – A collection of stories from six authors. Five of these authors are new to me, but I enjoyed most of the stories. Most of the stories need editing, mainly wrongly used words or spelling errors. I contacted Ms. Gauthier many books ago to review her books.

R.M. Gauthier, Millie’s Story - This book is written with a librarian, the main character, reading mysteriously appearing, demanding-to-be-read books that each contain a fairy tale or story. As the story continues, in betwixt the mysterious books, the librarian grows more interesting, as does her story, and she has a dilemma, which will end her happy existence at the library that she built up over the years. I’ll let you discover which fairy tale she represents.

Having read the first two books in The Landon Miller Mystery Series—“Control” & “Bound”, I must admit that I could hardly wait for R. M. Gauthier’s “Freedom” to make its debut. Finally, it’s here! For fans of this series, Gauthier culminates the saga of the enigmatic Mr. Miller in such a manner as to have heads spinning up to the stratosphere, nails bitten down to the quick, and hearts racing out of control—no pun intended.

Even as Gauthier reveals the true motives behind Landon Miller’s unconventional and dangerous lifestyle, one can’t help but wonder if he’ll ever be able to reverse the damage done to his own psyche. This tough trek into the world of BDSM and sex-trafficking reflects the sordid and harsh realities faced by real-life victims whose lives have been hijacked simply to fulfill the pleasures and desires of the rich and perverted.

The saving grace behind The Landon Miller Mystery Series—and what distinguishes Gauthier’s depiction of this underworld society from other novels in this genre—is the focus on preventing sex-trafficking and saving innocent lives. We see in “Freedom” that her Mr. Miller isn’t just some cold, black-knight playboy out to sate his own sexual desires… He is an avid activist who makes it his personal mission to right whatever wrongs he can and, perhaps, to somehow find a way to save his own soul in the process. In creating the character of Landon Miller, Gauthier has forged a true knight in shining armor.

Freedom
by R.M. Gauthier

“Freedom” has pace and character. These two ingredients make enjoyable reading. The pace is steady and well-crafted to keep the reader engaged. The literary audience is swept up by one of the most intriguing crime fighters in print, attempting to bring an international crime family to justice. The author delivers what’s expected from a page-turning thriller - an abundance of energy with romance, action, and conflict with the extra impact of confronting social issues.

Point of view is from Landon Miller, a successful businessman through courage, tenacity, loyalty, and technology with a disturbing past and questionable methods. The character is unique, interesting, charismatic, and worthy of other entertainment interpretations. Landon’s businesses are directed toward his obsession with his family life and love life on hold until the mission is accomplished. He uses staff, friends, acquaintances, and circumstances to pursue the villains.

“Freedom” is the third book in a trilogy by R.M. Gauthier including “Control” and “Bound.” I recommend enjoying all the installments of the trilogy and watch for future works by this talented author.

This is the last book in this series. It has Landon Miller's mystery revealed. But once that is done, there is no going back. What will Lexi do after finding out? Landon has a lot of work to do the keep the peace after his secret is out. What will happen? You will need to read the book to find out. Reminder....this is book 3. You will need to read them in order to get the 'whole' story and understand the ending better. Kudos to R.M.Gauthier for a wonderfully written story from start to finish. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

OK, holy cow, I have been on this journey trying to find out just what all happened to Landon 15 years ago and why he's so tight lipped about his past. Well R.M. finally answers all those questions for Lexi as well as for us readers and folks she doesn't disappoint. There is so much more depth to the man we hate to love and love to hate. What an awesome ending to a series that has left us all raging for more! You aren't going to want to miss this conclusion!

The conclusion of Gauthier’s Landon Miller mystery was completely satisfying. The first two installments were written in Lexi’s POV where the final volume encompassed the entire timeframe as seen through Landon’s eyes. Finally, we get to know some of his motivation along with flashback sections to his earlier years. This setup for storytelling was not only unique, it worked beautifully. There is so much more to Landon Miller than anyone could ever guess from the first two books. Now, he’s no longer the sexy, mysterious club owner, but a smart, sexy vigilante. He has plans and goals, which all are in jeopardy once Lexi waltzes into his life. Great story filled with intrigue. Highly Recommended!

Fitting and Unpredictable ending!

I've read the books that came before this one, Control and Bound, and if you read this one, you probably should read those first. It is never easy to let a series come to a conclusion, and the "Mystery of Landon Miller" series is one of them. The story is written well as it brings the conclusion to something that makes sense, and has a continuity that doesn't go overboard with the back stories of the two previous books. Freedom is its own story but fits within the pieces of the trio of stories. It's steady pace brings the reader right in the middle of the action, while turning every page with anticipation. Well done. I look forward to more of what Gauthier has to offer.

A real page-turner!

The third and final book in the Mystery of Landon Miller series, Freedom answers the questions that readers have wanted the answers to since reading 'Control' and 'Bound'. Far from being about light-hearted romance and alternative lifestyles, 'Freedom' turns the spotlight onto Landon's experiences and point of view in a way that raises some really important issues.

It's really great, as someone who has read 'Control' and 'Bound', to get that different point of view that really opens up the main character and explores his motivations and concerns. It makes it much easier for the reader to empathise with Landon after having felt so much concern and sympathy for Lexi in those previous two books.

I also really appreciated the fact that the author was able to complete the story and maintain continuity with the previous books without going over old ground or telling parts of the story over again. Instead, the events in 'Freedom' fit neatly into that story like pieces of a puzzle, completing the bigger picture that carries with it so much more understanding.

If you enjoyed 'Control' and 'Bound', you really need to read 'Freedom' for the answers. If you've not read any of this series yet - you should. Not only do these books offer a great mystery/thriller read, they'll open your eyes to important issues and open your mind to seeing things from different points of view.

I read the trilogy but I'm not able to rate it.

I was cautious starting the first novel because I thought it involved dominance and submission, and that lifestyle makes me uncomfortable. This book was further into that culture than I was comfortable with so I put aside for awhile . I did finish all 3 books, after a lot of starts and stops. The author has researched their subject, and the information seemed factual. Thrown in was the outline/mention of human trafficking. These are all serious subjects that I do not understand. Read or not, but the author has put alot of time and effort into their books, and please make up your own mind.
