An exquisite book! Jordan Marxer, editor of Victoria Magazine, and Victoria Magazine’s Our Hearts Are in England is an absolutely stunning book on English “Signature Style”, Splendid Blooms”, “Romantic Sojourns”, “Timeless Traditions”, and “Classic Fare”. Being a hardcore Anglophile for a very long time, as I read this book, and studied the out-of-this-world photography, I fell in love with England all over again. Oh, how I miss England even though I am American. This brilliant book has all the Englishness to which I am drawn. Signature Style discusses the ‘English home’ be it cottage or castle. William Morris and his textiles are most beautifully shown in his Oxfordshire home, Kelmscott Manor for one example. While reading this section, I could feel the warmth from a blazing fire in a huge hearth and admired the striking antiques placed perfectly in a paneled living room. English charm is everywhere: English countryside, English china, many framed pictures occupy one table top, and rose gardens seen out of each window. I love David Austin roses. A few are in my gardens. The beauty of the wisteria is not to be believed. This book enables the armchair or potential traveler to England places to visit such as the Lake District,
the seaside, vibrant London, or, my favorite, The Cotswolds. There are recipes included so one may add a special item to ‘tea time’. Grab a croquet mallet but before you join the others, please read this ever so fine tribute to England.

An enchanting coffee-table book with gorgeous photos! I've been an incurable Anglophile since I was a little girl and watched the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on TV. Topping my Bucket List was to one day visit the Emerald Isles, so I feel incredibly blessed that I was able to visit several times. Driving all around England for several weeks on our last visit was an incredibly moving experience. Some of the many sights we saw are in this wonderful book. The cover is a beautiful photograph of the magical cottages on Arlington Row in delightful Bibury, where hubby had to literally drag me back to the car. I've collected Victoria magazine for years and own several of their books; they never disappoint. In my opinion, this is their best book yet. The narrative and recipes are a bonus.

This book feeds. my. soul.

Pure bliss for the Anglophile.

It's kind of a misnomer to say I "read" it, for although there is writing in the book, it's really a coffee table book full of the most exquisite photographs. It covers all manner of topics thought quintessentially "English." The garden photos particularly spoke to me but I loved every single page & know I will return to look at it again & again over the course of my life.

Zero regrets for putting it on pre-order. It lived up to every expectation.

This was a stunning coffee table book that I got for Christmas from my husband. I read it in short snippets over tea. Made me excited about visiting the country hopefully soon!

What a lovely book! We were supposed to be in England this whole month, so reading this book assuaged some of the disappointment of our trip cancellation. Minimal text about English style, gardens, traditions, and food (with recipes included). Gorgeous photos! This will definitely stay out so I can dip into it again whenever I want to dream of England. Thank you Laura!

A truly lovely "coffee table" book about the delights of England. Brief text highlighting a selection of quintessentially English places, traditions, gardens, and of course teatime, all accompanied by beautiful photographs. A must for any Anglophile!

Stunning photos, makes me want to visit England! I also enjoyed all the little tidbits of information, but the emphasis here is on the photography.

Amazingly beautiful book. I would call it a coffee table book but, no. It is going to be used frequently for references in decorating, table settings, recipes and dream trips. It is an escape to a beautiful history and heritage I would love to see. So inspiring. I love this book.

Very attractive and so exquisite, from country side to city, from remote people to their backdrop, from heirloom tradition to exquisite customs, very well intro to England.
