When Eli was into monsters, his big brother called him Mr. Monster. Now Eli's wacky and wonderfully contagious baseball fever has earned him a new nickname!
Not a great book. The general premise and story are boring for even most kids. The one aspect of it that was interesting and could generate a conversation is poorly handled. More or less a little brother develops an interest in baseball and wants to join the little league is big brother is in. The big brother does what he can to make his little brother lose interest but then calls him Mr. Basball, only to be snappy. In the end, they both pretty much get what they want (the little brother is a mascot for the team, while the big brother doesn't actually have to play with his little brother.) However, ignoring the big brother's attitude and poor treatment towards his sibling felt like a missed opportunity.
