The Missing Chapter: What Was Left Out of The Secret Journals Of Adolf Hitler

Rate this book
The Missing Chapter is just that - the chapter that was removed from The Secret Journals of Adolf Hitler during the editorial review. It centres around the Nazi Party Rally of 1927, illustrating the increasing power of the Nazis, the Torchlight procession, and the Dedication of Banners, all serving to instill into the minds of the people the idea of spirituality being attached to the Nazi cult.  Hitler’s obsession with the Holy Lance, better known as The Spear of Destiny is also discussed. The spear was said to have magical powers, having once been used at the Crucifixion to wound the side of Christ. Hitler firmly believed that whoever had the Spear became invincible and could conquer the world. Enjoy!

Interesting!

I know this is a work of fiction, but you can imagine the crowds, the chanting, the music playing and the flags and banners billowing in the wind. You can almost feel and see the glumness of the day. And maybe, just maybe you are one in the crowd thinking "what the heck are we doing? This is no King, with a royal procession! This is just a small man with a narcissistic mind, that spent time in prison! And here he is dressed in a uniform wearing military medals and selling himself off as a great military minded leader.
You're thinking,he's a flash in the pan,he's a nothing! Oh,you'd be so wrong! So dead wrong!! What can a lowly private do to an entire nation, and do to an entire population? All to "Make Germany better" . (Circa 1932)
Even though this is a quick read, and a work of fiction,I found it to be enjoyable and in my research and studies(not to mention the family stories on my maternal side -of how just surviving those tumultuous years were) it could actually be tied in to facts and figures of the time.
Good work! And yes,I will read more from her. Pick up a copy of this!!--P/

✔️ Published in 2019.

I was left speechless, impressed, and happy to have read such a well-written and plausible historical fiction book! In fact, I could not wait to tell Best Friend about this fabulous piece!!

Once I started reading this, I was immediately taken to the desk of Adolf Hitler (so to speak) as his pen flowed across his journal to make this entry into his diary. A.G. Mogan caught the tenor, voice, and actual historical events perfectly. And when I read the entries about Geli Raubal, I laughed, for how many people remember his half-niece and the enigmatic relationship the two had?

I came away with the impression this was Hitler who was madman, boy, and romantic neophyte all rolled up into one complex person.

I greatly enjoyed reading The Missing Chapter: What Was Left Out of The Secret Journals Of Adolf Hitler. I am looking forward to reading more of A.G. Mogan’s works.

Memorable passages:
“I realize the today’s rally never once entered my head the entire night. It was all Geli. . . . I see Geli’s face everywhere; in the grey fluffy clouds covering the sky once again, in the fretting leaves blowing in the warm summer wind, in my own reflection in the car window. . . . I can even hear her laugh hurtling toward me from the shadowed forests I pass. It is as if Mother Nature decided to deride me, . . . ”

“The man is truly living what he is recounting.”

“’The Holy Lance,’ whispers Goebbels, ‘whoever has it becomes invincible.’”

“I burst into laughter. ‘Since when do you care about the truth, Goebbels?’”

“’We ask the Lord, who gives us strength to carry this symbol, that each German may look with pride at these banners and that they may fly over all of Germany. Not the Germany of Versailles, but the Germany of our German language and tongue.’”

“As irony would have it, the harder I try to ignore my feelings the more violently they lash out at my conscience.”

Didn't miss much!

Not sure I would consider this a book or even a short story. It doesn't seem to really share much without the previous and following comments that might have been involved.

A Nazi Ritual

A brief but interesting look at an early Nazi parade in the German city of Nuremberg. Hitler had an affinity for powerful imagery and propaganda.
