What a way to end an arc
It all come to a head in this one. All of the suspicions and doubts that Damien has had about the wisemen are found out... and it’s much worse than he thought.
The characters continue to develop and the story moves at a quick pace. It seems that everyone that has been around Damien and Max are not at all what they seem to be and the truths come in waves. This is the best Damien book of the lot, a definite must read if you are a fan of The Damned world.

End of Arc (and series?)
I feel like Michael Anderle is running out of idea for this series, so he end it right here before it become another Da Vinci Code (since anything that mixed "secret" and "church" always end up a clone). I agree that Damian character has way more leg room if he simply gets out of the church hierarchy, although he will stay a priest. So, which Damian series is next?

This book is the final book in the Damian’s Chronicles series. It is a decent ending to a decent series.
The book is pretty much more of the same of what we have been served in the previous books in the series but as we work ourselves towards the grand finale the stakes are upped, what has been hinted at in previous books are revealed and the secret players are exposed.
Everything is taken to the next level of course and the action is more intense, especially towards the end, while everything else like dialogue etc. is still there. I quite like Damian. Him being a priest offers him certain advantages in the combat against evil but at the same time he is not preachy or hypocritical which is a huge plus.
Overall a good ending on par with the quality of the rest of the books. Not wow great but satisfying.

Damian’s back!
There is much for Damian and Max to deal with, and some interesting revelations. The writing is amazing, as usual, and it’s fascinating to see how the story is unfolding. There is so much packed in there, and I’m greatly enjoying the series. It seems that each book is better than the one before! Now, what will Damian’s next adventure be, and when’s the next one being released???

Super!
The truth about the “wise men” comes out and it’s so much worse than imagined. The “secretary’s” identity is revealed and isn’t that a surprise! All in all an excellent arc-ending book. I enjoy reading about Max and love Damian so I hope there’s more stories about them to come.

Well totally unexpected
I’m hoping there are more books coming soon even if you don’t branch out with one for max, the secretary or maps damian must go on . There are many things to still find out like where he ends up- does he team up with Katie or any other mercs so please more books

Really great reading
Love that Max has gained his confidence and learned to trust and believe in his self and his demon. Enjoyed all of the thoughts on the necessity of good and evil and it was explained very well. Hope Damian rejoins Katie and team.

Mystery solved. Or is it?
This has been the best Damian story yet! Damian and Max finally solve the mystery of the three wise men. But Damian has further adventures to come. Out of the kettle and into the fire! I cannot wait to see where it all leads!
