Grief brought them together. Will love tear them apart?

Ginger McCormick is living her very own happily-ever-after. With her precious newborn daughter and handsome firefighter husband by her side, life couldn’t be any sweeter in Sandersville Beach. When a freak accident occurs, and her world is suddenly turned upside down, Ginger can no longer bear to be near the ocean that anchored so many happy memories. Nevertheless, her best friend's beachside wedding is on the horizon, and Ginger must face her biggest fears to be there for Emeline on her special day.

Across town, Doctor Jonathon Walden struggles to move on from his former life and career in Atlanta after relocating to the sleepy beach town. He mostly keeps to himself and yearns for the day when the ghosts of his past will no longer haunt him.

When Ginger and Jonathon both realize they need outside help to mend their broken hearts, the two run into each other at a local meeting and develop an instant friendship. Can they resist the undeniable connection they feel for each other as they navigate their grief together? Or will they decide to go it alone and walk away from a second chance at love?

Tackling Life's Curveballs

A wonderful tale! Ginger and Jonathon's story hit me straight in the heart, with a gut punch thrown in for good measure. This is a story about love, loss, and a new found love for both characters. Together, they mend each others hearts and souls. It's sweet and poignant.

Things weren't as idyllic as they seemed for Rusty and Ginger, something Ginger realizes after his passing. The revelations come from different events, including the hot chemistry that is experienced at the hands of a new partner.

I loved how Daisy took to Jonathon in a heartbeat, making it obvious that there was something special to be appreciated about him. 💚🤗

This is the second book in the series and could be read as a standalone. There are references and frequent appearances of the main characters from the first book, Emeline and Thomas "Cappy", here but it is all explained so you will feel right at home.

I received an author copy of the audio book. As with the first book, the author is the narrator. Kelly goes a really good job but l would have preferred to have a male lend vocals to the story, too. This will always be my "complaint" with single narrator books and multiple POVs. 😊 What can I say?
I've been spoiled and have become greedy. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Story: 4 stars
Narration: 3.5 stars

Ginger McCormick lost everything in a terrible tragedy that made her world turn upside down. 💔
Since then, she is no longer able to be near the ocean that used to be full of happy memories, but Emeline, her best friend is about to get married and Ginger has to face her biggest fears for her
bestie's happy day. 🙏

Dr. Jonathon Walden is trying to adjust to his new life in that small town in Sandersville Beach. It is so different compared to his life in Atlanta... He is a closed man who does not want to engage with anyone... Jonathon just wants to live his life peacefully and try to evade the demons from his past. 💥

Both are broken and all they know is pain... Both need help to fix their broken hearts... 💔
When they meet, a strong friendship immediately grows between Ginger and Jonathon - but will their grief prevent their relationship from developing into more than friendships? would they take a risk for a second chance at love?

giphy

The story was touching, the characters were interesting and their chemistry was hot! It was a good book, so I don't know exactly the reason, but something didn't quite work for me, compared to the previous book in the series. 😬
Anyway, if you like broken characters who find comfort in each other, this is the perfect book for you. 👌💛

Thanks to all who have read & reviewed Stars Fall From the Sky!
This book was a tough one to write, as I was going through my own grief after the unexpected loss of my college roommate during the writing process . I know this is a hard subject for some and I apologize for wrecking havoc with your emotions. I wanted this story to be as real as possible. I did a ton of grief counseling research, and as hard as it was, dug deep into my own emotions dealing with loss and betrayal. This is a genuine love story of finding happiness again after going through a tragedy. It's about healing and realizing that life is fragile. I hope the HEA was worth it.

Another knockout read from KG Fletcher!

This book tore me up, no joke. Ginger and Jonathon's love story is one grounded in grief, and one that proves love heals, even when the scars remain.

It is a genuine love story of finding happiness through the process of healing. Of letting love do its thing. It makes you realize that life is fragile and that at any point in time you could be any one of these characters. That no one is exempt from loss or pain.

Losing a love one is a scary thought, an ugly truth no one likes to think about. Ginger made me feel her sorrow, the despair that clawed at her soul. I cried with her as if her pain were mine. And to me, that's the sign of a true author, a true artist at their craft.

And that's what I love about KG's writing, her stories are a blend of romantic fantasy and reality. In Stars Fall From The Sky, her characters are so easily relatable and her descriptions so lifelike, you can't help feeling like you are best friends with these people, and that you're literally walking down the beach side streets of Sandersville.

I won't lie, there were times when I wanted to throw my kindle across the room, but that's the beauty of it. People are not perfect, and nor should storybook characters be either. It's what makes Ginger and Jonathon so perfect for each other. At one point, I thought there was no way Ginger could handle any more grief, and I wanted to slap Jonathon for being so hard-headed, but the redemption at the end was so worth the heartache.

KG knows how to do HEAs for sure. It's no wonder one of her most commonly used hashtags is #lovewins. 100% Agree!!! Now, I can't wait for her next book!

Stars Fall From the Sky is the second book in the Reigning Hearts Series by K.G Fletcher. I have read all of Ms. Fletcher’s books and have loved every one- so I was really keen to get my hands on this one. When it arrived on my Kindle, I jumped right in- and didn’t put it down till I’d read every word.
This was such an emotional rollercoaster for me. I really recommend reading with a box of tissues close at hand- because you’re going to need plenty. The story is a very emotive second chances romance- with a friends to lovers element, too. It plucked at my heartstrings so often, that it became a melody in my heart. The story is everything from tragic, to sweet and romantic. There is love, loss, grief, feelings of betrayal, ghosts of the past, trouble moving on, stuck in the past, drama, healing, learning to love again, a ‘small town’ environment, chemistry, real life realism, touching & tender moments, cute little additions, wonderful characters, an engaging storyline- and most of all, it is a story with hope, and finding happiness after tragedy.
As I have come to expect from Ms. Fletcher, the story is really well written, and the characters are quite endearing and so easy to invest in. Book three, “A Sun So Bright” (Fiona’s story)looks set to be wonderful. I can’t wait! Bring on December!

Thank you, Ms. Fletcher!

Southern romance at its sweetest!! There is something so warm and inviting about romances like these! Little towns where everyone knows each other, looks out for one another, a whole big family! I absolutely loved living through the eyes of KG Fletcher’s character Ginger! I felt all her emotions with loss, joy and love. Strong she is and with the support of wonderful family and friends.
Jonathan KG’s other main character, a doctor moving to this little town to start fresh from a great loss he just went through. He couldn’t of picked a more inviting town as this one.
I really loved this story! The obstacles these characters go through and the fate that puts them together sucks the reader in, melting their heart over and over again.
This is the perfect time to read this story with all the upcoming holidays readers definitely need to pick this up! Wonderful for a weekend binge! Cozy up and Enjoy! As KG Fletcher says “ love always wins”.

Stars Fall From The Sky is a second chance at love, one that will at times break your heart but heal it at the same time. Ginger and Jonathan's story is one of love, loss, broken promises and moving forward. Their story shattered me at times and I felt the grief and devastation right along side them. However their story was also inspirational, it taught us to take a chance on love as it is worth the risk. When the stars fall from the sky and throw your life into darkness, forgiveness will play a big part in easing the pain felt soul deep. This beautifully written story will have you riding an emotional wave of sadness, grief, acceptance, passion and a love that will reign over your heart.

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book 2) by K.G. Fletcher is the most beautiful heart wrenching story I have read in a while. Beware lots of tissues are needed. K.G. writing transcends the usual storytelling to a magical place where you completely lose yourself and become entwined with the characters. It is a second chance story that had me devouring every word and turning those pages. It is a story that is enveloped in love, loss, lies, broken promises and heartache but through your darkest days you do manage to find healing and in that healing a second chance at the one thing you never thought you would find again.

Ginger finally had it all, life was a dream but one second that was all ripped away and now she had to try to work through it and live again.

Jonathon is the new doctor in town but behind the happy façade is a sad and broken man.

It is such a beautifully haunting tale that no one and I mean no one should pass up to read.

I enjoyed this book. This author continues to impress me with each book I read. The story is well written with lots of emotions and kept me engaged to the end. I read this book in one sitting, the emotional roller coaster had me turning pages fast. Grief and fate bring Ginger and Johnathan together but what will fate do? Do they have a future or will they part ways. They are great characters with heart and in need of healing. I highly recommend their story, it will warm your heart.

After reading Run to the Sea and getting to meet Ginger & Rusty I immediately fell in love with them. At about chapter 3 in the book I was so angry at KG 😂 I thought my heart would never heal. Of course I had to know how Gingers story would end and there was a surprise revealed along the way that I never would of thought would of happened. It really helped that Ginger met someone who was going through what she was also going through & by the end of the story I was no longer mad but so happy for Ginger & Daisy 🖤

What a emotional story about losing and finding love. I liked it very much but there’s something about the writing style that’s not making the story flow as good as I like. However, all the feelings makes somewhat up for that.

Good storyline
Well described characters that is developed in to realistic personalities
So many feelings I’m crying and laughing and feeling a little wrung out afterwards (but in a good way)
The chemistry between Jonathon and Ginger is present from the second meeting.

Very good 4 stars read.

* I was gifted this book in exchange for a honest review*

Stars Fall From the Sky by K.G. Fletcher a four-star read that you will want to catch like a shooting star. This is the second story in the Reigning Hearts series and be warned you will need the tissues by your side as you read this story as its very emotive, touching and dramatic reading. Ginger and Jonathon prove that two wrongs can make a right, as two broken hearts can hopefully make one between them. It really is a heart-breaking story and compelling reading; you will be doing yourself a disservice if you miss this series.

Stars Fall from The Sky is the outstanding 2nd book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher. It can be read as a stand-alone although Emeline and Thomas from the first book Run To The Sea have a prominent role in this book, I would advise to read that first. (It’s helped by the fact that Run To The Sea is also an amazing book).
This first thing I’m going to say about this book is that you are going to need tissues handy when you read it. I even posted on the author’s Facebook page after a few chapters asking why she hadn’t warned that tissues were required. She told me to hang on in there, so I did. Guess what? I cried even more.
Ginger and Jonathon’s story is so emotional. I’m not saying you will be constantly crying, although there was some happy crying from me too. There is a lot of love and laughter too.
Ginger is widowed very early in the book and is left devastated to bring up her newborn daughter Daisy. (This is not a spoiler as this information is contained in the book blurb).
Jonathan has recently moved to the area and taken over the doctor’s practice. He’s moving on from heartbreak and wanting to start his life over.
The 2 are drawn together when they both join a grief club in order to help them control the grief they are both suffering from. As their friendship grows and both start to have feelings for each other we have an amazing story of 2 grief stricken people who are facing so much personal guilt about the possibility of loving another person.
KG Fletcher is an author whose writing I have totally fallen in love with and this book is a wonderful example of the amazing characters she writes and the journeys that these characters go in. This book just has everything. I’m struggling for the right words to say just how amazing and beautiful this story is. I know I have just finished reading this, so it’s front and foremost in my mind but I think this has just become my favourite K.G. Fletcher book.
Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book Two) by KG Fletcher

5+++++++ Stars

This book…..not sure how to write this review so just going to go with whatever pops in my head.

This story grabbed me from page 1...squeezed the ever loving life out of me...destroyed me ...blew life back in to me, knocked me back down again, and then picked me back up...I ugly cried more than once, well more than twice actually and feel completely worn out. I’ve read I think all of this authors books, I’ve loved every one of them and will read them all again at some point, but this one even though the second in a series stands with in my top favorites of all time.

Ginger and Jonathon brought out every emotion I didn’t know I had. This story was written so beautifully and felt so real. I swear I feel like I stepped back out of Sandersville Beach after reading the last page. I loved Ginger in Emmy and Cappy’s book and love her even more now. Speaking of which it was so completely awesome being back with Emmy and Thomas again as well..I loved their story and it was nice to be apart of their continuing journey. I love this town and I love the people in it...I want to move there!

I want so bad to get into more details of the story itself but I don’t trust myself to do that without giving away things I shouldn't be so will end here and leave you with...these books are a must read, there’s too much in the first book to skip it so I don’t recommend that. I can not wait for Fiona’s story, I’ve been curious since book one how she would be handled and her story is next..YES!!

Many thanks and much love to this author!

This is the first book I've ever read of Ms. Fletcher's. I received it as an ARC and am reviewing it as honestly as I can.

The first thing I look for in a book is that the arc of the story travels smoothly through the telling. With a few, almost forgettable spots, this story arc remained consistent throughout. The author was very good in ramping up the tears, especially through the first few chapters. And she wrote a hard-headed H quite well. The second thing I look for is enough character development that I can become "friendly" with the H and h. There could have been a bit more of that in the first half of the book, but overall, I knew enough about the characters, their background, etc., to understand them. But understanding isn't the only important thing. The characters have to stay true to themselves, their personalities, and their backgrounds. And that they did.

I was pleased with most of the book. Ms. Fletcher dug down deep to get the emotion she did out of the h. She actually could have dug less and it would have been well written. One thing I have to thank her for is less drama than a lot of the romance novels lately. I prefer my women to be drama-free and my H to not fall for it. Overall, I will read this author again.

Holy Pete! This book absolutely wrecked me, in all the perfectly good ways of course but regardless it tore me apart. I have enjoyed the Reigning Hearts book one a few times over but this one has to be my favorite KG Fletcher book hands down. Stars Fall From the Sky is one of those books that has a bit of extra magic to it. You go into it expecting a love story but get so so much more with the emotional and underlying issues that plague the characters.

Ginger McCormick has literally been to the bottom when a tragedy that was completely unexpected ripped her world to pieces and forced her to live a solitude that she never knew existed. Unfortunately, Ginger’s best friend is getting married, by the ocean, the very thing that destroyed her life. She decided to face it and in the process meets Dr. Jonathon Walden. Walden chooses a life of solitude. He is not looking for anything except to get through each day as smoothly as possible without dwelling on the past that haunts him. These two are the key to each other’s soul and healing. When a friendship is not enough will the pressures of their past block them from finding that happily ever after? Can they put their hearts on the line for a chance at love once more? I can’t say enough good about this book and I am dying to get my hands on the next one!

Stars Fall From the Sky is the 2nd book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher. While it does follow Run to the Sea, it could be a stand alone book. The characters overlap, but this is a full story, with enough detail that you would still enjoy it. It is a beautiful story of second chances and finding love again after loss. The story follows Ginger McCormick after the loss of her high school sweetheart husband. If it weren't for her newborn daughter, she probably wouldn't even get out of bed in the morning. She slowly finds her way out of grief, and back into living her life. Much from the help of Jonathan Walden, the town doctor. He too is grieving the loss of his wife earlier in the year. They lean on each other to cope and mend their broken hearts. They hit it off straight away, and developed a quick friendship. But it seemed fate kept bringing them together. Perhaps each other are just what they need to move on and love again. Highly recommend this story. It was really sweet and I didn't want to put it down. There is a shocker toward the end, but without giving it away, I'll just say, I did NOT see that one coming!

Stars Fall From the Sky was a great 5 star read and book two in the Reigning Hearts series.
K.G Fletcher has once again pulled me right in with her writing and I didn’t want to stop until I was done.

My emotions were all over the place during this read, laughing, crying, sobbing mess. This is Ginger and Jonathan’s story. Both of them have tragic pasts that they are trying to move forward from. My heart absolutely broke for Ginger, I was emotionally drained. Ginger has her best friend's wedding that brings her close to what changed her whole life, the ocean. This is where she meets Jonathan. They start out as friends but soon feelings start to develop.

Can Ginger ever be happy again? Can a person have more than one soul mate?

Both characters were great although Jonathan frustrated me at times, he was so stubborn. You can’t help but be captivated by their story. These two helped each other heal and we get a HEA. There is so much more to this great read, you will love it. I highly suggest you 1-click and get started today on this great series.

A heartbreaking story from the start! All the elements of a great story: heartache, confusion, sadness, hope, joy, love and peace.

Ginger is a character that I could relate to. I felt her sadness at the turn of events her life took. Jonathan’s guilty feelings were justifiably on point as well. Grief has no timetable and affects everyone so differently. Fletcher hits on these points precisely.

While this is book two in the Reigning Hearts Series, it can be read as a standalone. References are made to the couple from the first book but not enough to distract from this storyline. I suggest reading this story with some tissues handy.

As always I am wondering who could be up next for Fletcher!

This was a good read the second in this series. This is Ginger and Jonathon's story. The book starts out with what you would think was the perfect family than disaster strikes. Ginger is left with loss and unanswered questions. Ginger turns to a grief group to try and pick up the pieces. Jonathon is also dealing with loss and has moved to a new town to start to heal. Will they be able to heal together and have a future or will the secrets of the past smash their happy ending? This book was hard for me to read at times while reading through the grief and loss. That is the only reason I gave it a four. The charters were well written and easy to relate too.

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book Two) by KG Fletcher is sweet and emotional story about second chances. I freaking loved this heartwarming story that broke my heart in some parts. What would you do if you lost the love of your life? Could you move on? Jonathan and Ginger both have had something tragic happen in their lives, he moves and starts his practice in a beach town. Ginger is having trouble moving on.These two definitely have chemistry. I love how sweet and gentle yet protective Jonathan is over Ginger. These help each other through the grief they are experiencing. It’s a sweet emotional story that I recommend reading. If you haven’t already read the first Book I recommend reading it to. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is one emotional roller coaster! I mean reading the synopsis gives a bit of a clue so I was prepared for the tears. But then a few pages later....anger. Yes I was shocked then I got mad. Not at the book. One certain character....well maybe two. You will know what I’m talking about if you read this. This author played me like a violin. Sad...Irritation...disbelief then shock and anger. Well let’s end on a good note...there was happiness too. Especially when the good Doctor was holding Daisy. So cute!

It was nice to see Emeline and Thomas so heavily involved with this story. I was able to catch up with them while getting Ginger’s story. Very well done.

I always enjoy this authors books and this was no exception. I feel she really writes from the heart.

Stars Fall From the Sky by K.G. Fletcher is the second book in the Reigning Hears series. This book was so much more emotional that I expected it to be and it is the type of book that tears your heart to pieces but in all the right ways.
From the moment I started this book I knew that I was going to sucked in. I also figured pretty quickly to have the tissues on hand. The author has created such a beautifully heartbreaking story that morphs into so much more.
I have a read a few books by this author now however this one easily has to be my favourite. The characters and the story were everything and more. I fully enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.

Stars Fall from the Sky by K.G. Fletcher was heartwrenching and heartwarming all at the same time. I had tears in my eyes the whole time while reading this book.

Ginger McCormick had the perfect life husband and a baby girl till a tragedy struck from nowhere and her world collapsed. Can the new doctor Jonathon Waldon be what Ginger and Daisy need to right their world?

I loved K.G.’s Southern Promises series but she is being something more emotional to the Reigning Hearts series. I highly recommend you check out this author's books because you never know what each book will bring you.

Oh, man. These two. They made my hurt heart in the best possible way. KG is masterful at putting you right there with the characters and feeling what they feel. Numbness, joy, grief, confusion, the feeling of being on the edge of something you want but guilt sets in. The whole gamut emotions that crop up through life’s stages. She’s also built a magical little beach town that makes me want to run get a map and drive until I find it. As someone who grew up by the Atlantic, it gives me an extra dose of nostalgia reading about the wonderful little town she built for these rich characters.

Fantastic book and I highly recommend if you’re looking for an emotional, sweet, and sometimes saucy read and don’t mind the beach fever you’ll get just a few pages in.

Another beautiful second chance romance from the pen of KG Fletcher. It features characters from the first book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone.

This time, the story’s main theme is moving on after a bereavement. What happens when you lose the love of your life? Can you love again? Is it possible to have more than one great love?

The story is written with sensitivity and grace. The sweet, budding relationship between Ginger and Jonathan was wonderful to read. A must for romance lovers everywhere.

STARS FALL FROM THE SKY is the second book in the "Reigning Hearts" series but can be read as a stand-alone.

If I may make a suggestion before I begin this review, read with a box of tissues handy. Emotions abound in parts of this moving story.

As with other books by this author, the story has a terrific flow from beginning to end, the characters are well developed, little drama (besides the obvious) and some swoon worthy scenes for sure. This is one of those books that can be read in one sitting and a feeling of contentment should be felt after THE END.

This is a visually written story which, at times, was breathtakingly painful. I can only image how hard it is to write an emotional tale and think this author handled the intricacies well.

I would absolutely recommend this book and this author.
