This was a surprising read. Not because he has an "unorthodox" way of fishing, but in the way this book is written. It truly is a how-to book, but it certainly doesn't read that way. I've read some instructional books on fishing before, and this one was actually fun to read. Wright's style makes this book an easy one that you'll find yourself zipping through in an afternoon, or a cold weekend.

The tactics covered in this book brought light to what I've seen on the river - mostly surprise successes on less that perfect presentations. Though I wasn't meaning to fish this way, I was implementing some of Wright's thoughts without knowing it. Now it's time to use them intentionally, for real next time.
