The Bear's Reluctant Mate
When paranormal romance author Juliette Parson’s latest manuscript is billed by her editor as being too “unrealistic,” it’s suggested she contact a shifter group for advice on her storyline. Writing about shifter romances is one thing, but meeting with a person who can change into an animal at will isn’t something Juliette ever thought she’d do. But if she wants her book to be believable, she needs to find someone to talk to about shifters. The last thing alpha bear Cruz Miller wants to do with his free time is chat up a human writing a smutty story about shifters. But when his brother points out that their clan could angle the interview for some much-needed promotion for their shifter bar, he decides to give the author a chance to tell him how much she doesn’t know about shifters. What he doesn’t expect is to take one look at the curvy redhead and explode into his shift. But he’s in the fur and she’s petrified, so what’s an alpha to do? Bide his time until he can shift back into his human form, explain she’s his mate, and that he’s ready to claim her good and hard, again and again. He just never counted on the feisty female having her own ideas about her future, and the fact that they don’t seem to include staying with him. An alpha won’t give up without a fight, and Cruz is no different. He’ll show Juliette that he’s the right male for her – shifter or not – and that he can be as romantic as the males she writes about.

After his brother points out that their clan could get much-needed promotion, alpha bear Cruz Miller decides to give the human writing a smutty story about shifters a chance. But he didn’t expect to explode into his shift with just one glance at the curvy redhead and now he’ll have to show the petrified Juliette that he’s right male for her – shifter or not.
This ‘Uncontrollable Shift’ is a delightful and charmingly cute romance that makes readers sigh in envy and contentment. It might be short, but is sure is full of sweet romance and spicy heat that with strong, captivating characters that steal the show. The plot is fast paced of course but the relationship is not an easy and direct path to happily ever after as the couple does have a couple of obstacles to overcome. The human and shifter mating obstacle rears its ugly head as the cultural differences clash and some take exception to the alpha mating a human, which adds excitement to this delightful read.

An all-round enjoyable short read.
More enjoyable due to the fact Juliette and Cruz actually spend time getting to know each other before mating. Things still happen at a fast pace but felt more comfortable.
Liked that Braden and Bethany were kicked out for their atrocious behaviour.

Juliette is human as a well-known paranormal romance writer. She famous for her vampire series but she needs a change and wants to a catshifter series but she has never meet one. After reading the first draft of her new book the editor tells her she comming off as a bit unrealistic. She needs help and research. Since the cat shifters are only in Europe and she is in the USA she is connected to an alpha bear

That is until she walks in his office and his bear gets one look out of her and explodes out of Cruz's body. Not the best first meeting but there is a reason for it . Oh has things changed now he is all for getting to know one another and she is the reluctant one lol.
Love the action and spice. The characters are fantastic in this story and pull you in but it the story that kept me. It's a super fun read with just a touch of drama. Don't miss it. Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

The bear’s reluctant mate is book three in the uncontrollable shift series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Juliette is an author that needs help with an upcoming series about shifters. Cruz is a bear shifter that is the alpha of his clan. He is also the owner of a bar that isn’t going as planned. When he is asked to be interviewed by an author, he is resistant. As soon as Cruz meets Juliette, he knows that she is his mate. Juliette soon gets a surprise when Cruz has an uncontrollable shift in front of her. When she learns that she is his mate, she is a little hesitant. Cruz needs to take it slow in order to get Juliette to give him a chance.
The chemistry between Cruz and Juliette is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. They really were a cute couple.
I really liked Felicity. I liked how much she adored Juliette and Juliette’s work.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Absolutely Marvelous
I really enjoy reading Bear Reluctant mate. I am a totally book stalker of bear shifters and I knew I would love R.E. Butler story about bear shifters because there is not a book of hers that I haven't fallen in Love with. The characters in this story is so entertaining and realistic. It's the kind of story that I am going to read again and again, I couldn't help but find these characters captivating, emotional and exceptionally passionate just what I enjoy in every book R.E. Butler. This is a Magnificent Must Read.

What a fun book. All Juliette wanted was to interview a real bear shifter to help her paranormal romance books, she did not expect him to change into a huge bear when he met her. Cruz did not want to do this, but it was for the best for his bear clan. He sure was not planning on finding his fated mate, or his bear coming out. I loved this story, stayed true to the awesome writ ing of R.E. Butler. Wonderful story with a strong female, even stronger then she thought, and a caring strong and gorgeous bear shifter that know they are meant for each other and will get their HEA

This was syrupy sweet at times so beware you might get a sugar overload before you finish. Juliet found out the evening she met Cruz that his bear knew she was his mate ow that happens had me laughing. I appreciated how Cruz the man was able to give Juliet time to wrap her mind and heart around the fact he was her mate before he actually mated her. He was a sweetheart as was she. They were both very likable characters as were all but a few in the book. I kept waiting for more turmoil in the book but it was kept at a minimum.

Cruz is a sweetheart! Although his bear takes charge when he sees Juliette the first time, Cruz is determined to take time to know her before mating. He really puts his heart in it; it makes all the difference in the world.
I love the way Juliette stands up for herself when confronted by two angry clan members trying to get rid of her.
Do take time to relax with this quick, enjoyable story. You won’t regret it!

Short and sweet with no angst. Juliette is strong and independent. She isn’t about to let Cruz push her into a relationship. I liked that Cruz is able to recognize that Juliette needs time and space; she isn’t a bear and doesn’t understand what being a mate means. I also enjoyed that he tried to romance her the human way while sharing his world with her, he made time to get to know Juliette and let her know him. There is plenty of sweet moments as well as some spicy ones.

How can you not like a romance book about a romance writer? Mix in a clan of bear shifters and you have found the perfect little book. From the first uncontrollable shift to the honeymoon sweet, this book will keep you asking what’s next. I love the way the author built the romance and the love until we reach the HEA. The bears reluctant mate. I felt like this book was a very interesting read. The chemistry between the main characters was steamy and memorable. The journey these characters take was so awesome I definitely love the fated mates theme in this book I couldn't put this book down great story.

Juliette Parson's editor tells her that the shifter book she wrote is not realistic and tells her to visit Cruz Miller to get some insight into shifters.

Body tingling
This book caught me so off guard. I knew it would be great because that's how RE Butler writes, but I was so into this book it was over before I was ready for it to end. This is a great book for the start of another series. Hope that is in the works. Quick read, but so worth the time.

I haven't read a book by RE that I haven't loved and this is no different. I love the instant mate bond between true mates but I really liked how more realistic this one was. She didn't just fall all over him even though she could feel some kind of connection to him. They took time to get to know each other which was really sweet. Can't wait for the next book.

Normally I'm not that into bear shifters, I can take them or leave them, but since I had read the first 2 books in this series I felt I had to give this book a chance. I was surprised but this was actually a really good read and I enjoyed it from start to finish. I cannot wait to see the next book that comes out in this series.

Really enjoyed this one
I very much enjoyed both other stories in this series - but this one just seems to be more rounded to me. Maybe it was just the effort taken by the two main characters to get to know one another better in the beginning - so we know them both better too!

Addicting series
Loved this book. Great story line, great characters. It has everything I'm looking for in a story. Hot shifters, awesome female lead, great sex, and some kickass drama. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

This one was just ok. Nice plot but didn’t really hold my attention. Thank goodness it was short. The first 2 books were much better.

Fun, but similar to many others. Nothing new or pushing boundaries, but sweet and easy. Crazy quick read with its HEA with no fuss. really just a nice way to spend a sunday evening
