Two soulmates finally meet, their hearts full and complete. A curse by a vengeful ghost is made, to sever the ties woven by fate.
They say we all have our own soulmates—the ones we’re destined to spend our whole lives with. But orphan Olivia Fredson has no time for that. She has an infant niece, a family business, and her college education to take care of—all on her own.
Even multibillionaire Romanov Naight is too busy to even think of one. When he’s not managing his law firm and the university in which he’s one of its governors, he prowls the night together with his pack to keep their kind safe from meddling humans.
But it takes only one night, a car crash, and a school project to change their minds.
Suddenly, Olivia finds herself in the complex world of werewolves and in a complicated relationship with Berlin’s Alpha King himself. No matter what she does, she always gravitates back to Romanov—his castle, his presence, his arms.
Little does she know that behind all the sweet caresses and hot kisses is a thousand-year old curse not even the strong Romanov can protect her from.
For how can you protect your soulmate if you yourself are the danger?
From the author of the bestselling book, Mated to the Alpha King, Jennise K delivers another gripping tale on the great lengths people go in the name of love, and the dangers of an affection gone too far with Beasty. Grab a copy now and be in for a literary treat!
Jennise K comes from the beautiful country of Fiji and enjoys the tropical Island climate only when it’s winter. She began her writing career penning down poems all throughout her teenage life, and now in her early twenties she writes in all sorts of genres. Something that inspired her to indulge in the Werewolf genre was the fact that her all-time favourite fairy-tale is “Beauty and the Beast”.
When Jennise isn’t writing, she spends her time with her family at home, trying to survive her way through university, graphic designing, watching Crime Investigation Channel or Masterchef Australia, reading Harry Potter fanfictions and writing new chapters for her books on Wattpad-listening to Lana Del Rey. Her books on Wattpad, such as “Beasty” and “Mated To The Alpha King”, have a collective read of almost 20M and she loves all of her readers very very very much!
If Jennise could spend the rest of her life watching one thing-it would be Korean Drama. She whole heartedly supports the notion that food comes before a love life and is fully aware of the fact that she has no will power when it comes to denying food. Her dream destinations are South Korea, Germany and London-where she dreams of settling, one day.
This authors writing style is CRAZY. It is all over the place.
And...
Why you ask?
The characters + action + mystery + ALPHAS =
Me over here like
I will say sometimes the author will throw in a random explanation for something, whether that be for a situation or some type of detail the reader otherwise wouldn't have known about, and you are kind of thrown off for a minute. But all questions are answered by the end. Along with you going crazy with the half cliff hanger endings...
Which brings me to my final statement. The only problem I have with Jennise...
The wait time between books!! (which actually isn't anyone's fault I just am not patient, oops)
I've been waiting for this one since Mated to the Alpha King. I guess I'll try to be more patient...
I preferred this to the first one in the series ... but the narrative was so fragmented that I got a little frustrated.
However, the love story was also better, and the plot was very eventful and rich. Also, the characters were more developed. However, I don't understand how a dude named Romanov, a Russian last name who lived in Germany, and has the nickname Rome speaks Greek as his native language. It felt like a European bingo.
This is the sequel to Mated to the Alpha King, but a standalone book itself. Another best work from the author and another best read with a beautiful romance. You can read this without reading Mated to the Alpha King.
This is the story of Rome, Bryce's cousin and Theia's best friend from MTTAK. We meet Romanov in Book 1. He comes off as an arrogant one, but we see what a softie he was, underneath all that hard exteriror.
Rome meets Olivia at the verge of death. She had met with an accident and is fighting for her life. On finding his mate he marks her to save her life and admits her in the hospital before disappearing from her life. Olivia calls him Beasty and thinks it was just her imagination until she gets a call from him.
Romanov has a secret, a curse which does not allow him to accept her as his mate in public. He stays away from her as far as possible. But the mate bond only grows stronger by the day.
Fate has other plans. When Olivia manages to break his walls and he finally does announce her as his mate, the ancient curse is unleashed. What happens when the curse everyone believed to be a myth unleashes itself on them?
Romanov - hard, cold, distant, brooding - there are just so many words to his exterior facade. Underneath all he's just a man, who longs to be loved by his one and only. Olivia loses her parents at a young age and then loses her sister in a car accident. There's someone who's out there to kill her entire family. That person is the one who caused her accident in the first place. Her attraction to Rome is inevitable. She's hurt when he doesn't reciprocate her feelings, but soon learns why he wouldn't do so.
Together they must fight this before it claimed a life.
The curse part is great twist to this story and took it to another level. As usual I enjoyed reading this story that kept me on my toes. The romance is beautiful and the friendship is to envy for. The climax is just...wow! And the secret, you should really read to know what it is. I'm not gonna tell ya.
I highly recommend this read to Werewolf/Paranormal Romance lovers.
Not crazy about this book two. It turned into a ghost possession story. The mc was pathetic and weak. The side subplot about the baby was not needed. Too long winded of a book that it got too boring. Got tired at halfway. Lost interest.
The book was literally "beating around the whole forest",
One question : why does she cry so much? I mean, I'm all the for vulnerable type or whatever but this chick be like:
People are dying and I can't hold back the tears He won't tell me I'm his mate and I start to tear up He acknowledges I'm his mate and I can't help but cry My friend got hurt I have to cry Kids pranked me I have to cry *I stomped my toe I have to cry*
I seriously feel like there wasn't a chapter where she didn't cry and the soulmate thing... :
I'm his mate this, I'm his mate that, He can be mean and I'll forgive him cause I belong to him I can't talk to other people now because he's my soul mate and all I need.https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OGC.d1...
I mean the whole story makes sense but the timing of everything is kinda odd and turned predictable, there were times when I just sat and asked myself, shouldnt this book have ended already?
And the names... What's up with names...? Do you want to call him Beasty, Romanov, Rome? Or is she to be called Olivia? Liv? Ollie? Olive? The confusing part is where all the names are used, for the why?
I could've been good but I was pulled way too long...

I've been reading so many wolves-Lycan type of books, generally speaking, in wattpad, Radish, inkitt and so on, but nothing can make heart jump, until this book came and cross the line of the usual that we always have when it comes to wolves-Lycan stories. I can say this is different from what usually sell to us to read, from the story line, to plot twist, up to the unpredictable actions of the male protagonist. No dull moments!!! Definitely worth it. And you guys will surely fall in love to Romanov Naight and his shoulder-lenght jet black hair that he sometimes put it in a half man-bun knot hair style *sassy wink*
What I liked most about this book? It was an actual book length book and not the short story/novellas a lot of authors call books now. The story line is very good. There were a few turns of phrases where you could tell that the author was either not American or not a native English speaker. I enjoyed her characters and there was a lot of twists and unexpected turns in the story.
She did not know what animals are native to Berlin's lakes. Crocodiles are found in the Americas, Australia, Africa and Asia, not Europe. That was why I gave her 4 stars instead of 5. It was a very good book and I would recommend it.
Beasty is a worthy follow-up to 'Mated to the Alpha King'. This story sees the story of Romanoff and his Soul-mate Olivia attempting to find their way to their happily-ever-after. Of course all is complicated by two very stubborn mates, a curse and an evil, vengeful spirit. Throw in our ever colourful group of friends, Bryce, Thea, Matthew and a whole crop of new characters and this is a book worth reading!!!
It was a good story but for me it just dragged on and on. Took me a while to finish it and it could use a fresh edit as it had a lot of little mistakes
I'm glad I picked up this book because, to be honest, I very nearly didn't. After reading the first book in the series, I was hesitant to continue, because frankly, the writing was awful. But I had hope. I had hoped that the second book in the series might be better written as the author gained more experience, and for the most part, thankfully it was true.
The book wasn't perfect. There were typos, though far fewer than in the previous book in the series. There were still some odd jumps and leaps that made it seem as if maybe a scene had gone missing, but I'd say that there were drastically fewer of both in book 2 than in book 1. I loved the characters, particularly Olivia, and though there was some chaos to the romance at times, it felt like there was a much more cohesive plot and less forced drama than in book 1.
But if you're looking to read this book, I would highly recommend that you only do so if you are at least somewhat invested, because it is LONG. Like, nearly 700 pages long. It's going to take a while to get through.
Overall, I enjoyed the book a lot more than the previous one, and more than I expected to. I liked the characters, the ghostly plot, and the more cohesive way it was written. I think the author definitely made strides in improving her craft between the first and second book in the series, and I'd be happy to move on to a third.
I’ll admit, these books are horrible, but I’m enthralled. This author obviously doesn’t have an editor. She gets relationships confused. Grandma Liz is Aunt Liz to her own daughter at one point, and that is only one example. Spelling and grammatical errors litter the pages, and sometimes the author gets carried away on completely irrelevant details, however, I’ve read two books in this series and I’m certain I’ll read the others.
Seriously, this book is trash, but it’s like reality TV trash. You know it’s trash, but it’s entertaining so you keep watching.
I do genuinely love the characters, though I don’t think Jennise did as well developing the characters in this book as she did in the first one.
It was a bit of a chore getting through this one. There were parts I liked- mostly the beginning. Meeting Olivia and knowing all her inner thoughts. Romanov's highly possessive nature to the point of danger. The cursed castle and late stepmother killer theory was a little cheesy, but okay. I enjoyed Olivia's relationships with all the werewolves, and her family Aunt Prue and Letty. Nice twist with the father. I love young, naïve heroines with over the top alphas. Olivia and Rome fit the bill, but the story could have shorter by a couple hundred pages.
FYI I read Mated to the Alpha King 12/2016 and gave it 5*.

I really enjoyed reading this series. I really do hope she comes out with more books. The plot lines are amazing and the story makes you want to read more! The only thing that threw me off was some of the grammatical mistakes. For example when she was talking about a she, the author wrote he, Missing the s. Small things like that, but I absolutely loved the story and I really really really hope she writes more. I would love to see if Rome and Olivia have kids since we got to see Thiea and Bryce have kids. I hope she writes Matthew’s story too.
I loved the first book, but Rome was the reason I read this one because I loved him so much in the first . Then this turns into a weird ghost story that makes no sense as well what drove me most crazy in the book the owner of the store terrible “accent” like you couldn’t read what she was was saying and I have no clue why you wrote it that way it was awful and borderline making fun of her . It wasn’t legible and I skipped her part . Also SOOOO DRAWN OUT! like this book could of been half the size and still would of been able to read the whole thing . Overall disappointing
I was hoping Rome would be next in line in this series.... and I'm so happy he is!!! I was hoping beyond measure that the prophesy or curse he'd been told was wrong in some way!! I enjoyed how the story had a great storyline much like the story with Theia and Bryce. I wanted a story that had meaning, not just a romp in the hay after meeting of mates, and this story didn't disappoint!! I totally recommend this book!!!
Wow! I loved this story! Parts of it were hard to follow but then as you keep reading the questions you have are answered! I think everyone’s hearts swelled for Rome during the first book and to see him find his soulmate and all the coincidences come together make this book really special! And to see Olivia find so many people to love her and become her family just makes my heart so happy. This is a great story!
The book needs alot of editing. I still love the old characters as well as the new ones. The problem that I have is that the story jumps alot. I can't tell when one thought changes to another at times. The writing style is so different from that of "Mated to the Alpha King." I pray that the next book is better.
This sequel follows Romanov, Bryce's cousin, as he meets and courts his mate, Olivia. Without giving too much away, this story did an amazing job on both the world-building and the character development (with scenes with characters from the 1st book!). This novel was just as addictive as its predecessor and I cannot wait to read the next one!
Quite similar to the first book. so a little disappointing in a way, as I felt a lot like reading an alternative version of the first book. And again, the relationship is not forced, but I guess I have a hard time with a possessiveness so extreme. In my opinion, it is unbalanced. So I did not finish it.
I was so happy when I saw this had come out! I never thought I would see another book from Jennise K. after Mated to the Alpha. When I saw this pop up the night before, I bought it IMMEDIATELY! I hope there is more the series. It would be amazing.
I have not been able to put it down and probably will read it a few more times. If you like werewolf books especially once that have possessive alpha males in it. A must read. There were some spelling mistakes, but gladly overlooked them.
I love the suspense . I love the characters. I can't even put into words how much I liked this read. I liked how each character was well written with accountability and a sense of realism. I like the banter . Really creative ... great job
I enjoyed the first book, and this second one, set a few years later, did not disappoint 👏 👏👏👏👍👌💞💞 Given this story features Rome & his soul mate Olivia, it felt a bit darker to me than the the first one........but it's Rome/Roman/Romanov, so it's to be expected 😊. There's quite a bit of humour too, but that's to be expected from "the boys"! Two things spring to mind: "What is meant to be, will be - FATE" and "Not everything is as it appears to be". For me, this is a great story well told, and I loved it from start to finish. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Eagerly moving on to #3.
