The night sky bleeds as the Blood Moon appears and the Battle of Divine Will commences. Chaos reigns as the war begins and the struggle against the demons amplifies.
A fantastic story with interesting characters and 0 cliche. a novel that leaves you hooked from the first chapter, always with an expectation of what is going to be the next technological advance or what a witch is going to appear. nothing more to say. LONG LIFE TO THE EMPEROR ROLAND. View More
This was a fun book with some flaws. For example, the main character keeps having giant instances of dumb luck after another. Every time he wants to make a technological advancement he happens to find a new witch with just the right power, when he needs to investigate a murder, he happens to find a witch with just the right power. The romance I also found somewhat annoying. The society the MC tries to build is a flawed socialist country.
That being said, this novel is as good as Chinese novels get, and I enjoyed most of it.
It's an extremely rushed ending, where everything happens all at once. Little was said about the demons, and nothing was said about the sky sea realm. The ending was fine, but seriously lacking in detail. Most authors runs out of steam at the last stretch, but from how these books were pumped out like a machine compared to more professional productions and inches at a snail's pace, I thought it'd be different, I was wrong.
