Callie Patton I’ve lived a life that I wanted to get out of. One that I was emotionally and, sometimes, physically abused by the people that were supposed to love me unconditionally. The one person in the world that meant anything to me is taken way to soon. In her absence, I’m left with the opportunity to be free and do as I want for the first time in my life. Can I truly be the girl that chases her dreams and learns to make my life what I want it to be? Or will people continuously try to take it all away from me? Damon ‘Bear’ Jones The only thing I want is to live a simple live and do what I want. One girl completely destroys that notion from the second I lay eyes on her. I’ve heard about this girl, Callie, for so long that I was beginning to think she didn’t truly exist. Now that I’ve seen her and witnessed the innocence and freedom she’s truly experiencing for the first time; can I be the one to try to make her settle down with one person? Will outside threats tear us apart before anything gets started? ** Warning ** There are scenes with possible triggers in this story. There's a few torture scenes and the mention of rape. Please know that these scenarios can cause a reaction in some readers.
This is the first book of Erin's I have read in a couple of years and I believe my first ever of J.C. Belanger and It was as GOOD as any other Erin Osborne's MC books! (Thank you ladies for putting the books on Kobo Plus, being on sick leave has made it very difficult to purchase books even from authors I love)
I liked how other series are incorporated into this one.
Loved all the main characters and back up characters. The plot made me laugh and get angry and to cheer when the "badmen" were eviscerated. If I was a crier I probably would have cried. I did have to read very quickly over a few of the graphic scenes but that is part of the story!
Thanks for the great read....must start book 2 now....
I'm going to start by saying, that Erin Osborne has never written a book that I didn't ever not fall in love with, the same with JC Belanger.
Callie was raised to be a slave for a man of her parents choosing. Its what was expected of her. although she has never fit in. She only ever felt normal at her grandmothers.
Damon (Bear) gives Callie a job at his garage. He's unsure of what to do about his attraction to her. Although that changes.
This has hit my top ten MC reads for 2019. What an amazing story. I can't wait for more.
Enjoyed reading this book. I loved the story of Callie and Bear. Was a very intense book for awhile but was glad everything worked out for them. Looking forward to the next book.
This was a good way to start the series. The characters were good. The story was good and seemed to have a good flow. I was hoping that with a co-author that there would be less spelling and grammatical errors, but there were still just as many as when there was only one author. I will thank both authors for continuing to not overuse the word ABSOLUTELY. I appreciate it very much!
When I heard that Erin Osborne and JC Belanger were getting together to co-author a MC series, I got so excited. There is not a book by Erin Osborne that I have not enjoyed, in fact if the truth be told she is one of my top 5 favourite MC authors. I also enjoyed the book that JC Belanger released on her own. I was pulled straight into this book right from the get go and stayed there until I had read every single word that has been written and I was over the moon that I had my mini movie playing along in my head as I read the book. Twists, turns and surprises occur all the way through the book, some of the surprises are large and some are small, some you will see coming and some you won't, but don't do what I did and try to guess what is going to happen next, cos if you are anything like me you will get it wrong. Oh boy did I get them wrong. The emotions that the characters go through in the book I went through with them, at one point I actually thought I was going to read a book by Erin that wasn't going to make me cry, I was wrong, I cried more than once, if I am totally honest with you, I have actually read this book twice and cried at the same parts both times. I know I will be reading this book again. This book it slightly darker than what we have had from these authors in the past, but I highly recommend it, they have done such a fantastic job with writing this, if you are an MC fan out there I don't think you will be disappointed and if you are a fan of the authors you will fall in love with the characters in the book, just like I have. I am excited to see where this series goes, I know that no matter what it will be a fantastic ride and one I am definitely pleased to be on. Way to go Ladies, you did an awesome job and you knocked it out the park.
This book was all over the place. Starts with the feel it's been written by a teenager, the whole callie's inexperience with everything n then shes walking around in tank n boy shirts up her arse but is not aware of her attractiveness.
Then theres how she went from no contact with music, TV, movies etc but all of a sudden shes organising bears office like an experienced office manager and researching online accounts programs etc? Yeah no!
Then the whole kidnapping, torture and it's just getting desperate.
It not only doesn't ring true, its superficial n childish.
So bad, dnf 56% and that's only cis I skimmed!
Dont waste your money.
This is like an mc book written by a teenage girls fantasy of biker. N the bikers in the book? Really? Never seen bikers act like this ever.
Damon 'Bear' Jones was not looking for a woman by his side but when he meets Callie Patton he is unsure what to do about it. He gives her a job and watches this woman who has had a tough life blossom. Can Bear be the one to capture Callie's heart and offer her everything she has ever wanted?
This was another great read by this author and new to me author J.C. Belanger. I liked the pacing an dhow this story unfolded. Can't wait to read more in this series.
Bear owns a garage and towing business and Callie finally escapes her crazy family and moves to the house that her beloved grandma Silvia left her, but before she can get there, her car gets a flat tire and she didn't wait for the dealer to get a new, so Grave stops to assist her and that's when Bear arrives with his flatbed tow truck. Callie grew up very secluded in the home with her parents and sister and never got to make friends or really understand much about life in general. Very naive but with a heart of gold like her grandma. She and Bear get together and life moves on and sadly she is kidnapped and beaten and tortured for over a month, until the club finally finds her and rescues her and another female named Hadleigh that had been kidnapped even longer and was repeatedly raped and beaten. Once healed and getting back to life, Callie finds out that she's pregnant and Bear decided to join the club to have more of guys covering his back and Callie's as well. Her sweet nature had all of the guys loving her and wanting to make sure that she stayed safe, but Bear went on one of their runs and he was injured severely in his wreck and temporary lost his memory, but regained it after their twins were born. This is my first time reading these authors and this is a long story that they tell us, but they did an awesome job and I looked forward to reading more. Happy reading.
I loved this book for 75% of it, love how strong Callie is, how she won’t let anyone get her down and fights back. My only reason for the 3 star instead of the 4 this book deserves is the old amnesia thing. I loath that as a plot point, really really loath it even more here. Here’s why, Bear fell for her instantly, the moment he met her he fell, so ok he looses his memory, doesn’t know her, and is singularly indifferent if not completely ice cold towards her… why wasn’t there that soul deep connection he felt when he met her the first time? Why wasn’t there more of a pull to her? If they had a slow burn beginning I’d say ok he’s got to learn to love her again but they didn’t this author does insta-love he man biker style, so by that I’d have expected him to feel something for her and certainly being the honorable man he was he’d have felt something for his babies. It obviously put the drama in the story but it ruined it for me because I as the reader didn’t get over it as quickly as Callie did. That said, it’s a kick bottom book and well worth reading.

I liked this series overall There were a lot of errors that a good editor should have caught
My main issue is there was to much left hanging
Her parents and sister just gave up. No questions or attempts especially from the sister
The entire series was like that. Something would happen (not sure which book, but in one there was a prospect who creeped out the women and it’s never mentioned what happened to him)
In the last book (Smokey’s) a husband of one of the women staying at the domestic violence compound runs his car through the gate and shoots it up and kills his wife and no cops (who allegedly keep an eye on the place since As mentioned in Graves book when Vanessas husband shows up drunk) and the MC shoots him and no blowback.
The stories were good overall though

What an amazing start of a new series. Loved both Bear and Kelli the instinct I started breeding about their storyline. Enjoyed seeing how the brotherhood often came together and love Kelli like their little sister. Makes me want to have brothers like that. It felt like Kelli and Bear never could find the ray of sunshine because if it wasn’t one thing, it was another. Love the story plot and had me crying in a few of the scenarios. Could not put the book down. Would recommend this book to Anybody That loves romance. Can’t wait to read the next story in this series.
I really wanted to like this book. The premise was there. Bear and Callie were good characters but I feel like the dialogue and the writing ruined it for me. The writing was (and I apologise in advance) immature in its delivery. Bear especially said things that just wouldn’t be said. I think if it was rewritten with another editor to oversee the changes it could be a fantastic book,
Ok so I do not like the cover of either of these books sorry. I think they need a bit more something I just am not sure what. When I read about a women being tortured I want tears rolling down my face and snot bubbles there was none of that it felt a bit flat to me. But it was also pretty interesting and I am buying the next one sooooo.
I loved every minute of Callie and Bears journey. From Callie discovery what an amazingly strong woman she is with the help of Bear and the Satan Anarchy MC. Bear journey is just unbelievable and I did not see that coming could not put this book down and can’t wait for more on Satan Anarchy MC!!!
I fell in love with Bear & Callie. I got so wrapped up in this book I couldn't put it down. My heart broke for them at times and the things they had to go through to find their happily ever after. I can't wait to see what happens next.
For sure this was a homerun, God it had my emotions everywhere. But did I enjoy every twist. Ladies if you want a good start on a new series you it right here. The problem now is waiting🤦🏻♀️, for book 2.
This book is a good start to a new series. While there are characters from previous books, this takes place in a different area. The book and new characters were really good. Looking forward to more books.
This book was definitely a great start to the series. This collaborative approach really adds an extra layer of literary flavor that adds a little bit of excitement to the read. Keep it up ladies!
This is the story of Bear and Callie, In this book you don’t know what’s going to happen next but it happens a lot of things! A lot! It’s entertaining and a good read, There are triggers you should know before reading it, that woman went through a lot,
This book tore my heart out! So many feels! Callie and Bear are perfect for each other. This book has some extreme violence in it. There were times I had to put the book down for a bit. But I kept picking it back up to find out what happens next... From a New Fan... Pam James
I happen to stumble on this book and since I read everything that Erin is apart of I read aIt and oh my good this book was awesome I couldn’t put it down a must read
