It's a simple mission, right? Not a thing. Go, meet the new group of massive alien-dragon Zmaj warriors who call themselves 'The Order', make friendly and come home with everyone on good terms and willing to work together.

Survival on Tajss is hard, everyone needs more allies, it's a no-brainer. Easy. No problem whatsoever. The perfect opportunity to put my natural skills to work!

Except nothing could have prepared me for him.

Big. His muscles have muscles. Wings, that tail, colorful scales but more than anything those eyes! The way they burn when he looks at me, smoldering, calling to every dirty instinct my body has. If that was all maybe I'd be okay, but he's cracking the shields of my heart too.

I'm in trouble in a lot more ways than one.

Unexplainable👽

Ashlee💃💋, one of the shipwrecked humans on Tajss🌍, thought she wanted to be a scientist, but she soon realizes the job is boring her to tears. Retrying experiments over and over with slight variations is making her want to avoid going to work.
When Ashlee💃💋 is asked to go on a trip to meet with some Zmaj🐲🍆🌋🔪 called The Order, who live on the other side of the planet, she jumps at the chance to leave the laboratory behind.
The Zmaj🐲🍆🌋🔪 are dragon men with scales, horns, tails and wings, but still able to mate with human women. Picture that! The children produced show mainly Zmaj🐲🍆🌋🔪 characteristics. The humans must consume a native plant called epis to survive the heat and blazing sun of Tajss🌍. The plant has been changing the systems of The women, altering them!
Since the human women arrived, the Zmaj🐲🍆🌋🔪 have begun to prosper again. It's as if the women gave them a new reason to live.
Ashlee💃💋 has seen many strange coincidences since the women got there, and it also seems that the Zmaj🐲🍆🌋🔪 have some telepathic ability between each other. Is it the planet🌍 or the Zmaj🐲🍆🌋🔪 that have mystical powers? Maybe both?

A Zmaj🐲 warrior named Archion🐲🍆🌋🔪 is guiding Ashlee💃💋 and his mate Nora to the secret base of the Order. Khal🐲🍆🌋🔪, Archion's brother has been looking for him. The other warrior's of the Order believe Archion dead, lost in The vast desert.

ARC Received from Booksprout🌱
I also got the book with KU.

The book starts out really slow, with mostly normal human interactions between the resident aliens of Tajss🌍, the Zmaj🐲🍆🌋🔪.
Ashlee💃💋 doesn't meet Khal🐲🍆🌋🔪 until a third of the way through the book! The book is really heavy on dialogue and is very short on action. I also haven't yet figured out how the Zmaj🐲🍆🌋🔪 of the Order are able to talk with Ashlee💃💋 and Nora.

Walking into the lab, Ashlee’s shoulders slump and her feet drag. Every day, she dreads the monotony of her job. Science should be exciting – why wasn’t it? Even her butt was going numb on the hard stool! Errol, the resident “mad dragon scientist” visiting from the Tribe, greeted her. The Tribe is another group of Zmaj dragon-warriors that live in a cave system outside of the City. She turned back to the meteorite glass on the bench in front of her. This batch of glass was different, but they still had no idea of how to use the difference. The mindless repetition is so very boring, even if done for the greater good of all! So when Sarah came in to tell her Rosalind wanted to talk to her, she could hardly keep the grin off her face and enthusiasm out of her voice as she jumped up and followed her out of the lab!

Hoping every step of the way for something new to do, Ashlee enters Rosalind’s office. She and her mate are both waiting and ask Ashlee – who can hardly keep from jumping up and spinning around in glee -- how she would feel about accompanying Nora and Archion back to the Order. Archion is a powerful, highly-trained warrior hero who has helped fight against the Invaders. But they all knew little about the “Order” he came from. They need Ashlee to be a detached, objective observer and get information about the surroundings and people she meets, the hope being that this new group of Zmaj will be good allies. With Nora romantically involved with Archion, they don’t feel comfortable relying on just her judgment.

Ashlee is surprised at her reaction when she meets Archion's brother, Khal. Their attraction is strong, their chemistry immediate. The hope was that the Order would become trustworthy allies, yet they seem hostile for some unexplainable reason. The Councilor wants both women sent away, even knowing that Nora is Archion’s life mate. When Nora’s reaction at Khal’s telling them they must leave is to get sick all over the rug, Ashlee screams at Khal that Nora is pregnant with Archion’s baby. A shocked Khal runs back to inform the Councilor – this may change things! And while everyone reacts to the news, Khal, begins to wonder if his own strange feelings mean that he has just found his mate too! With that major complication, he tries to follow the Order’s wishes by staying away from Ashlee. Will she have to return to her group and leave him behind? Will the Order decide to join them and become allies? Where will the next step take them?

I love this series! And I love seeing more Zmaj which means many more books to come! The dragons we know are very real to the reader by now, kind and loving, yet fully competent, protective, and possessive males. The author presents each character to the reader so that the reader knows each one and feels a connection. This serious ultra-warrior group adds a whole new dimension to the Zmaj with a shift in focus and direction. Let this series draw you in. It really is an exhilarating adventure to enter their world!

Dragon’s Temptation offers readers a more detailed glimpse into the mystery of the Order, the group introduced in the preceding book of Martin’s long-running Red Dragons of Tajss series. And that’s because Archion, the hero of the last book, needs to return to the Order and see what will happen when he brings his mate Nora with him. Along with them goes Ashlee as an ambassador of the human-Tajss settlements (and as someone who hopes to find out more about the Order and report back). Of course, once they get to the Order, things don’t quite go as originally hoped!

I really liked Ashlee’s common-sense nature and her intuitive ability to wait out a situation and judge responses. And I loved her hero Khal, who struggles with his desire for Ashlee fitting with the precepts of the Order. Archion and Nora are incredibly vital secondary characters in Dragon’s Temptation, deepening their relationship and moving it to new levels.

However, there were gaps in this story. I really didn’t understand why the Order treated Nora and Ashlee like prisoners, rather than giving them some courteous level of accommodation, courtesy, and discussion without revealing too much to them. Instead, they are in essence left to stew while Archion is grilled over and over by the leaders of the Order. I also wondered about things like the need for the life-supporting epis, which never once came up despite days of captivity for Nora and Ashlee. I also wasn’t clear why Ashlee suddenly was the ideal diplomatic candidate when she hadn’t done anything like that in her community before. And Nora does some things at the end of the book that are truly unusual, and yet no one discussed those oddities other than recognizing that they happened.

But I really liked both Ashlee and Khal, and I loved how their feelings for one another are something that is easy for one to accept from the other. Their intensity of feeling, and the lovely continuation and growth between Nora and Archion, made Dragon’s Temptation really enjoyable. Add to it the growing mystery of the Order (the more we find out, the more questions there are) make me truly excited for the next books in this series!

An abundance of Zmaj, and a romance for one of them

I don't care how many Red Planet Dragon books Miranda Martin writes, I'm gonna one-click every one of 'em. This long-running and fascinating series is a five-star must read for fans of sexy alien romance. The latest book, Dragon's Temptation, features a new Zmaj, Khal, a member of the reclusive and just-discovered Order. He's supposedly loyal to the death, protecting the Order and all the secrets of planet Tajss from all comers. Except his BROTHER has just returned from an adventure with a HUMAN MATE. And a human female companion of that human mate. Now that may be more temptation than an Order-avowed Zmaj like Khal can resist. A Miranda Martin guaranteed HEA awaits, with all kinds of internalized angst and "yes - wait, no!" moments before it. But - and this is crucial - real fans of SF will recognize this series, and this book, as a supremely executed tour de force in world-building, complex overall plot arcs, and long-term character integration. A detail, once revealed, is integrated into the plot of subsequent books. A character, once introduced and given a role within a story, reprises that role and becomes further developed subsequent plots. So, where will the Zmaj of the order fit into the mix? What strange secrets does the red planet Tajss hide beneath its desert sands and deadly flora and fauna? Who are the Invaders, and what do they seek? No doubt the entertaining and fascinating answers will refer back to previous hints in prior books - which is why I say, READ THE SERIES IN ORDER. Thanks, Booksprout, for the ARC. Ms .Martin - KEEP "EM COMING!

Ashlee is a human who was in the ship that crashlanded on Tajss and is currently working in the lab as a scientist. She then realises that it is not actually what she wants to do and so jumps at the chance to travel and meet with the Zmaj known as "The Order" with the aim of creating friendly communications so she can return home. She thinks it will be a no-brainer but in actual fact, it is anything but. Then she meets Khal - the Zmaj brother of Archion who has guided his mate Nora together with Ashlee back home to introduce them to The Order. They are greeted with suspicion and after a time both Ashlee and Khal cannot resist the pull between each other and become much more. Eventually, they get past the suspicion thanks to Nora and can return back with a commitment to more dialogue and communication. As part of that, Ashlee and Khal acknowledge that they are mates and she finally has both a new purpose and someone special.

I enjoyed this story although it was almost a third through the book before Khal and Ashlee met each other. I enjoyed his struggle against his duty and the woman who was clearly meant for him (and was relieved when he finally saw the light). Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content. A couple of themes that I look forward to being expanded on in later books in the series.

Ashlee is up and at her job. Only lately she's been feeling bored and incomplete. She;s working with Errol and investigating the meteorite glass. Then Rosalind sends for her and she gets a little bit excited about possibilities. She;s asked to accompany Nora and Archion back to his tribe. Excitement galore! Finally something she might be able to sink her teeth into and try to become not bored. Nora rushes in asking for help for one of the children. Bashir arrives and speaks to Malcolm. Archion, the foreign Zmaj, reacts to the child's recounting of his nightmares and leaves the room. Ashlee notices and is intrigued. Somehow Archion does not exude the confidence the group requires for the excursion. Meanwhile Khal has been sent by the order to find Archion. At the end of the journey to the order, Archion meets his brother Khal who is taken with Ashlee and Ashlee is taken with him although each don;t say a thing. What will happen now that they;ve arrived at the Order? Will Archion be accepted back? What will they make of his mate Nora? What will Ashlee and Khal have to go through if they are to belong to each other?
Another fantastic Zmaj story and read that will keep you breathless!!

Okay I really can't help but rant.

Chapter 1 and I can already see the inconsistency. Last time I checked, Sarah was bulging from pregnancy on Book 12 but then it was not mentioned here in this book. Considering the fact that this series puts importance to babies/children! Sarah walks and talks like a pregnancy never happened in the first place *eye-roll. Inconsistency! Again! I bet some of the things mentioned in this book will be disregarded in the future books to come. Seriously it's annoying how Visidion and especially Rosalind's description and the character's admiration for her is so consistent throughout the book!!!

Don't get me wrong. I love the series (that's why I'm still reading). It's just so unnerving how inconsistent people/things/events are on the book it's disappointing.

Now about this book:
It was nice how it continued to let us view the previous book's H&h because I love them both and hate that it had ended already. The book ended without even giving closure to Ashlee's mission which is the reason why she was even joining Archion and Nora to the Order.
I want closure! but I guess our dear author just don't like to do that anymore.

What a great addition to this series, riveting and enjoyable…..
Ashlee is going with Archion and Nora where they intend meeting with a new group of important Zmai warriors who are self-named as “The Order” where Ashlee expects it will be her responsibility to report hat her findings were like, whether they would be prepared to work alongside them all details that had to be ironed out.
Survival on Tajss is not an easy thing to do it is hostile and it has to be acknowledged the more allies you have the better chance you have of survival, however what she had not expected was to meet Kahl, a very large, very hot male that simply causes her body to heat and her sexual chemistry to sizzle.
The order has not been at all welcome to Kahl and so he has been playing things by ear and has to be careful how this might affect their dealings with Ashlee who is busy trying to keep everyone on board.
I voluntarily received and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Wonderful addition to the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss series! - Highly Recommend

For adults only (18+ years) Contains subject matter that may be offensive and/or sensitive to some. This includes some adult language, violence and adult intimate scenes.

Although this is written with enough background it could be read alone, I highly recommend that the series be read in order for maximum enjoyment.

This is the story of Khal and Ashlee. Khal is a member of The Order and meets Ashlee when she travels to their stronghold to learn what she can about their society at the request of Rosalind and Visidion, the leaders of the human city and Tribe outpost.

This series is a guilty pleasure of mine. I have read each story, and although I have loved each one, the last one left me a little worried as it didn't seem to have as much emotion as the previous ones. Then I read this one and realized why -- this one is an introduction of a new couple, as well as a psuedo part 2 of book #14.

3 stars

5 stars -Will definitely read again. Rare.
4 stars- Good book, I enjoyed it, not too many editing issues.
3 stars - It was fine. I may or may not read the author again.
2 stars- Bad editing, bad story.
1 star - I will blacklist every book this author writes and never read another again. Also rare.

In this instance, 3 stars is more I am not sure how much longer I will read. The last 2 books do not seem complete. They should have maybe been 1 book, and focused on 2 couples. I know that is not how it is generally done, but I would prefer that over what feels like an incomplete story. The longer the series goes on, the more obvious it is the author doesn't have a plan for some of the things happening. Where did the dragon doctor go? Where did the invader captive go? Why the glass in Maeve and her mate gave them telepathy? I mean we know it did, but now nothing has been done with it. Nothing with the kids' dreams. We just don't seem to be getting answers, instead moving on, giving us more questions I am beginning to wonder if they will have answers either.

A strained meeting between Ashlee and Khal

This is book fifteen of the Red Planet Dragons series. Each book features a new couple but the families are growing and the over arching storyline remains. The Zmaj and female humans are struggling to survive on an inhospitable planet. Archion, from The Order, and his human female mate, Nora, plan a trip back to The Order to see if they will agree to an alliance especially since they share common enemies. When Archion returns with two human females, his Nora and her friend Ashlee, his fellow warriors are angry that he broke one of their main laws. Khal, the blood brother to Archion, is elated by his brother’s return and relieved that he is still alive. Khal understands that his brother would never leave his mate behind. Khal, who is an honorable warrior starts to struggle with his own feelings, and keeping them hidden, when he sees the beautiful Ashlee. She came on their trip to be an ambassador and keep an eye out. It’s a sweet story. . . . Read On!

This story continues to introduce The Order that Archion (Dragon's Secret) comes from. I do like that we're getting to see a different side of Zmaj with the Order, but there are still a lot of mysteries yet to be solved centering around the Order and how they operate.

Khal is Archion's brother and I thought it was interesting to see some of his thoughts about Archion (both his worry and his obvious respect). Ashlee was an okay character, but I didn't find anything about her that drew me in. The romance between Khal and Ashlee was very much dependent on the mate attraction, I just wish there had been a bit more direct interaction between them to really build a romance rather than just a physical attraction.

Ashlee is sent with Archion and Nora to try and make contact with the Order.
When Rosalind the leader of the city asks Ashlee to accompany Archion and Nora to try and open relations with the Order she is happy to be getting away from the lab for a while. Taking one of the rovers the three head out hoping to avoid both wild animals and invader along the way. Zmaj warrior and member of the Order Khal wonder what has happened to his brother Archion rumors are spreading that he is dead but Khal knows he is alive. While on duty at his guard post Khal spots a box like object moving towards him and when it stops he is shocked to see Archion climb out then to his surprise two strange woman get out. One Archion introduces as his mate and the other is so beautiful that Khal can not take his eyes off her. An alien romance to relax and enjoy.

Ashlee is asked to go with Archion and Nora to meet the new group of Zmaj warriors who call themselves 'The Order'. She's then suppose to report back what she thought of them and if they would be willing to work with them. Since survival on Tajss is so difficult, having more allies is a good thing. But Ashlee wasn't prepared to meet Archion's brother, Kahl. He's really big and hot! They've got chemistry that sizzles the pages. But the council of The Order is not exactly welcoming and Kahl is trying to keep his distance from Ashlee because of his duty to The Order.

I liked this book and it does further the story of the ongoing series. The characters are well written and the dialogue is interesting. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author but my review is totally my own, without prejudice for or against the author.

I absolutely love reading the new Tajss book that came out. This is book 15 and it just as exciting as the others that have come before. Kahl is from the Order. This is a new bunch of Tajss Dragons that are different than the regular Zumj. They have been keep hidden from everyone else that are Zumj. Ashlee has a no nonsense attitude and her nature is to wait and watch. I love how both Khal and Ashlee feeling for each other is easy for the other ones to accept. They really have hot chemistry in the story. Kahl is trying to keep his distance from Ashley but love will always win out. Love these Zumj's and their love for their treasures. Can't wait to read more about the order and find out more of their secret. Great Series.

Part of a series

This brilliantly written story is part of a series and may not make a lot of sense if you have not read at least one of the earlier books ( and you WILL want to read them all ) This story helps to round out the last one and moves the entire series a lot further but there are still so many questions waiting to be answered. Hot sexy heroes with strong vibrant heroines and loads of thrills along with sweet romance and fun loving and sparky children to add to the mix. I am torn between wanting this series to continue for a very long time and wanting answers to so many questions ….come on come on next book PLEEEESE

Ashlee, Nora and Archion leave the dome and head to The Order to see if they would be interested in trade. When they arrive, they are not met with open arms by the higher ups. Khal is Archion's brother and is attempting to help his brother with the conflict. Khal is attracted to Ashlee and fights it. His duty and life belong to The Order. Ashlee is attracted to Khal also and is trying to get to know him. He won't get close to her and leaves the room when he can to avoid her. Will Khal give in to his instincts? Will he lose Ashlee before he gets a chance to know her? A fantastic read.. This entire series is awesome.

I have been following the series from book one and let me say that it has been a never-ending saga of pure joy! Every single book features a wonderful couple, a Zmaj male and a human female, and their complicated journey to each other's heart. This book has a new added element- the mysterious Order- an elusive group of Zmaj who bring to the story suspense and an extra element of forbidden love. Unlike other couples, the couples who consist of a male from the Order have to fight the strict rigidness of the protocols that must be followed by the members of the Order.
In this story Khal and Ashlee must face the challenge of convincing the Order that not only do the humans/Zmaj are good for the planet of Tajss but they are their only salvation to a future for the planet.

Miranda Martin adds yet another fantastic book to eh Red Planet Dragons of Tajss series!

I really don't know how she does it, but if you love Dragons who love to protect their female, this is the one for you! In this book, Khal is part of a mysterious order and Ashlee is a human woman who lost her way. The two meet and they are drawn to each other. As you already know, there's such great chemistry between the two and the passion between them is off the charts. I love how this story develops with Khal isn't your typical Zmaj warrior. I highly recommend reading this book! You won't regret it! i can't wait to see what else Miranda brings to this series!

fantastic series!

In book 15 of this series, Archion brings Nora and Ashlee to The Order. Hoping to introduce an alliance between his people and the human/Zmaj settlements. The Order is not welcoming and Archion’s own brother Zahl struggles to understand how Archion could betray the order by bringing outsiders into their sanctuary. This story is about Zahl and Ashlee, but we learn numerous new things about Archion and Nora as well. Just when the Order’s council has decided to exile Nora and Ashlee, We discover Nora is pregnant and she begins to have visions that no one but the council can interpret. Eventually these things lead the council to send Nora, Archion, Ashlee and Kahn back to the city to be ambassadors between the order and the human/Zmaj settlements.

Kahl and Ashley’s story has redeemed this series!

Ashley is from the underground tunnel group that was found and saved by Kate. Kahl is Archion’s brother and a member of the order. The order is a very strict monk type group that lives underground which Rosalyn is trying to establish an alliance with. Ashley and Nora were not well received by the order. At first they were prisoners and then when Nora started having visions Tashak, who is the leader of the order finally warmed up to them. The romance between Kahl and Ashley was a bit hesitant at first because of the protocols that Kahl had to adhere to in the order but eventually he gave into his love for Ashley. Much better story than the last and very well written.

This is a good addition to the series. I liked both Khal and Ashlee, and thought they were good together. I did wish that the author had explained why Ashlee was chosen to go on the trip to meet the Order. She kept thinking that this job was perfect for her, with her diplomatic abilities and training -- but what her abilities were, and what kind of training she had were never explained.

This story left a lot of unanswered questions about the Order. At this point, I am uncertain if their leaders are good or bad. They are, at the very least, much too rigid (and very misguided). I hope the next book comes out soon, as I am very curious about what will happen.

Great series, I need to go back and read the rest. Nice! Ashlee bored by the monotony of her job in the lab jumps at the chance of accompanying Nora & Archion back to the Order as an objective observer. Ashlee meets Archion's brother, Khal to whom she is immediately attracted. The intent was for the Order to become allies, but things didn't go as planned. Will Nora & Archion be able to succeed in their mission? What is going on with the Order? Is there a conflict with human women? Fascinating story/world! I 'definitely' need to read more of the series. Well done. I like the characters. It was good to see Nora and Archion again. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

This was a really good addition to the story arc with the Order now interfacing with the city (more unattached males) and we still have women living in a cave, and the unattached ones in the outer human village, plus in the city. I think maybe the Order can help rehabilitate some of the technology in the city and help decide the texts they are having trouble with.

Khal is a strong warrior, too, which will help the city.

The fifteenth book in the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss series a book that once I started I was not putting down. I want to read the next book I want to know how things turn out for The Order. This is Khal a new man and Ashlee's story and Nora and Archion as part of their coming together. The books in this series just get better with each one as they come out. I know when this series is finished I will be reading all of them again. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
