Dramography: A Personal History of One's Forays and Endeavors in the World of Fine Spirits

Rate this book
Perfect for Scotch or Bourbon enthusiasts, Dramography is a personal journal to record one's experiences and assessments of fine spirits of all kinds.

With over 200 entries available, this small travel-size journal is the ideal gift for spirit aficionados everywhere.

From the Author:
To drink is, first and foremost, a celebratory act. That there exists something worth honoring, hailing, celebrating, contemplating--is a given. And the act of drinking is just that: the raising of a glass to something worth raising it to. It is an affirmation of life and existence, as old as civilization itself.

Ours is an age in which the sheer number and variety of fine spirits is staggering. For good or ill, never before has there been such opportunity for libation. Never has nearly every category of spirit been marked by such expansion and growth, whether Scotch or Bourbon, Rum or Gin.

In each drink lies something to be discovered. There is a history, a tradition, a narrative, a culture, expressed and contained in every drop. In the ingredients, of their growth and harvest, of their transformation and distillation, of their being laid to rest in oak, and--after a period of years--reborn anew. In the aroma, color, and characteristic flavor profile--sometimes enhanced by a drop of water, or the addition of ice, or as ingredient in a classic cocktail. Each glass is a testament to the culture and civilization from whence it came, and therein lies its worthiness of a written account. I hope this little book will aid you in your journey.
