From Andrews McMeel Universal’s Gocomics.com and Collins Cartoon Studios comes Looks Good On Paper. The hilarious, offbeat comic strip by Dan Collins in its fourth year of publication by the world’s largest independent syndicate of comic strips, political cartoons and humor. Dan goes where others fear to tread (wisely, as it turns out) in order to crank out some cheap laughs you will nevertheless enjoy immensely! From his ‘How to be a cartoonist’ strips, to Clownton Abbey, to pulling God’s finger, he shows us that humor is everywhere we look and Dan spends a lot of time just looking around. It’s a sixth sense— but not like that movie where Haley Joel Osment sees dead dudes. More like when life gives him lemmings, Dan makes lemming-ade. My Cartoonist Is Not Funny is the first in a series of collections from the comic, produced by Dan Collins and his Fun-E-Books Publishing house. Made for iBooks and coming soon for other e-book sellers.
Dan Collins is a veteran cartoonist whose career began in 1976 when he started freelancing for magazines at the age of 22. Since then, he has created over 20,000 gag cartoons, along with comic strips, magazine covers, greeting cards, and editorial illustrations. Known for his distinctive humor and style, his work has reached audiences across the U.S. and internationally. In addition to illustration and design work, he founded an e-publishing house offering cartoon e-books by himself and fellow artists. He lives in a small Ohio town with his wife, guitars, orchids, and—by choice—no cats.
After a long journey my first fixed layout ebook is published and works just like it should. I hope it brings you a smile. It was a labor of love. Many more to come!
