In the sequel to 2013's The Plague, The Parish follows Matthew and Jason on their continued quest for safety. Matthew is forced to risk everything in order to protect his brother and Rachel, while Jonathan adapts to being a member of a family for the first time. Supporting characters Arkin and Rios make their returns as well, becoming leaders of an already strong group of survivors. Chris, Natalie, and more also grow into hardened individuals in an attempt to maintain their stability. New characters Eli, Carla, Cameron, Courtney, Meagan, and more will be introduced in ways that will have large impacts on the lives of the survivors.
