A Dark Billionaire Romance.

Yesterday he decided he wanted me. Today I am his property.

I thought my father's money made me special. Then Darko Lijander taught me otherwise. He did much more than just strip me bare, spank me until I called him master, and claim me as roughly as he pleased... He showed me what real power looks like in the most shameful way possible.

As I am taken from my home to his waiting helicopter, naked, blushing, and already very, very thoroughly used, I have no idea what he has in store for me, but one thing is abundantly clear.

I am now his property.

A dark read where I couldn’t connect neither with the main characters nor with the storyline, it was abruptly and ineffectively developed and had a very hasty closure.

Property is a dark romance that you want to dream about. I love Chloe and Darko. At first I wasn’t sure how I would feel about him but I quickly fell for his protective nature. Chloe is a strong female lead and the perfect match for Darko. I love the bantering between them. I would definitely recommend.

I also want to mention Roland. He is Darko’s friend. I found him humorous and a bit scary. I am very hopeful that he also gets a book. I would love to read his story. 😊

What another great read from this author. I don't really think that there has been one of her books that I just have not enjoyed.

In Property, we have the story of Chloe and Darko. Chloe's father has died and next thing she knows she is taken by this dark stranger named Darko. The only thing she knows is that she is supposed to submit to him. They both do not expect what happens.

Like I said, I love this author. She does a great job of weaving this sexy dark tale of a dominating sexy alpha, and a not what he expected female lead in Chloe. This story will entertain you. Have you asking, what does Darko really want with Chloe? What really happened to her dad? Will she ever find out? And can she make it out alive?

Loki Renard's newest book, Property, starts out with Chloe's father's funeral and the despair she feels. And then Darko enters her life and the chaos begins. He makes her his property quickly and thoroughly and then whisks her off to his island.
Chloe may seem subservient to him but when she finds a chance to escape she takes it! And then her life becomes more chaotic and out of control.
I am such a fan of Loki's books and she always entertains her readers with Alpha men and strong women.

I enjoyed this twisted and dark story that Loki gave us. Darko Lijander is a dark and mysterious man that comes into Chloe's room with no invitation and literally steals her away. Little does she know that he is trying to save her in his own twisted way.

Chloe is an innocent woman whose father has just passed away. She has not even had time to grieve for him. Now she is being taken from the only home she has known by some strange man who says he is trying to protect her from a weird group man trying to take over the world- in a quite dark corner type way.

Is Chloe going to let this man control her? Will she be able to trust someone she has never met before with her future?

Loki Renard is an amazing writer! She creates such captivating stories that have me entranced from start to finish. She writes hands down the top sex scenes ever. But also really great plots! I feel like she’s seriously underrated. I guess people shy away from her books due to the dark aspect but I love that so bring it on!

This one was super f-ing hot! And so sweet! That’s the thing, most of her books end in such an adorable way you would never expect it with the way they begin.

Read a few books but this one is the last

A stranger walks into your home. Bends you over and then starts to play with your naked body and all you are doing is asking questions and getting wet. Ugh. That was a hard pill to swallow. I do like that the girl got away for a split sec, but I found myself scrolling through. Not my cup of tea. Really it is consent because you tell her to slide on your dick. NO

Great - Awesome - fantastic - WOW

It's been a long time since a heroine inspired me so much and a heroine all along the line is Cloe for me. No matter in which situation, she remains true to herself and acts sovereign in the given parameters without giving up on herself. She rarely loses her head, she makes spontaneous and emotional mistakes, has patience, determination and courage and takes life as it comes with admirable efficiency.

A deer in the spotlight with the pragmatism to jump headlong into the darkness left and right. Wow! She has the true power and is not always aware of it.

And Drago is so totally typical of a man with tunnel vision, limited understanding outside of his own XY patterns and helplessness when the lights at the end of the tunnel are the oncoming train. Sorry, but in this book Iove it over the top.
Then all money helps the world and power helps nothing. It's nice that you have a goal and know what you want. If you don't have the right tools, you can't do it right, even if you have them, you have to know how to handle them properly. Poor little Drago! 😉

I admit it, every time he reached his own limits and those of his plan, I had a delicious time, smiled hatefully and mentally gave Cloe/Loki a high five.

A great, wonderfully written story with invisible depths beneath the surface and between the lines. Exciting and fast-paced, emotional and soulful, thrilling and with darkness to fear and cuddle.

Thank you Loki Renard for this book.
It had everything I like and love about her books and so much more this time.

As a totally agitated and completely enthusiastic reader, I of course remain immoderate and hope/wish Roland also such a 'good' experience and an even harder development in his own story of course.

Having read Instinct, Captive, and Broken by the Alien, I thought I'd give LR's modern stories a try. Not terribly impressed, honestly. I really liked her sci-fi stories, and felt that there was a lot of depth to the stories, and meaning. Here, not so much.

Chloe was bearable for a little while -- I could understand her grief and rage. But as a character, she never quite seemed to have much depth. She's a closed-off person, who seems to only be able to express rage or lust, for much of the story. It's hilarious how she naively imagines that she can somehow take revenge (mind you, she's only been a socialite and model before this) on what she's told is the most powerful secret organization in the world. Hm, yeah. The fact that Ok, I guess, if sass and psychological numbness passes for "strength" in your world, but it just didn't scan for me.

Darko was a bit better, though all we get are hints of darkness, how feared he is, etc. What we see is a guy who's good at sexual torment and tracking people, not how badass he is unless . It's not that I didn't like him -- sexy, dark Euro-thug that he is -- but he seems quite clinical most of the time. Frankly, so did a lot of the sex, too.

The fact that Chloe is never

I liked the scene where Darko talks about his past, though it's a pretty sanitized little history to be sure, with no mention of what he was doing in the years he was "sent away" from the war. The guy has to have some enemies, some broken people he's left behind in his wake, and it could have given him a bit more depth, too.

The HEA, though nice, was faaaaar too pat and rushed. Nope, not buying it. LR introduces the reader into this incredibly dark arena, and then yanks the reader back into the light and normal so fast, one feels the whiplash. It simply wasn't a very developed ending -- more as if the author realized there was no graceful way to ease out of the bleakness, without adding another six or seven chapters, so just said, "Ah, screw it!" and did the writing equivalent of a 180 on a dirt road in a '74 Mustang. One is jolted, shaken, slightly nauseous, and annoyed. At least I was.

Missed the depth of meaning and nuances of the sci-fi LR books I've read, and don't know if it's worth it to try another of her modern series. It's a toss-up at this point.

Chloe Parker-Baskerville has a hard time with people being real. Darko Lijander feels hes the one to show her what’s what. This is not going to be a story for everyone. If you like a man who knows how to dominate than you might enjoy this one.

Darko is a man who commands attention and to that end he will command your attention as well. And just like his name this story is dark. But if you like your stories that delve into D/s than this is a story that you will find hard to put down. That’s not all this story is about though. There’s a mystery that surrounds Chloe and the world that Darko lives in.

Chloe was a little spitfire and she doesn’t make things easy. At times Darko may think he has the upper hand but it was a pleasure to watch him learn what Chloe is really like. Some scenes were so hot that I almost had to break out the fans. The author then decided that I needed more that I ended up so absorbed in what was going on that my eyes let me know that I’d had enough for the day. What’s good about the word tomorrow is that I know I’ll finish what I started here.

One downside for me is that it felt as if the ending became a little rushed – as if in order to stay within a number of pages Chloe and Darko’s story had to end sooner than later. It did have me wonder though if other men that live in his world will make an appearance somewhere else. Our author does have other books with themes that are found here so that would be an option in my hunt to find that out.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Phenomenal writing, awe-inspiring characters, and compelling complex plot! A total MUST-BUY!
“PROPERTY” by Loki Renard is one of those dark, erotic romances that so captured my attention, I’m certain I stopped breathing, more than a few times. I wasn’t sure who to like or hate until near the end of the tale, and even though I wanted to throw my Kindle down I read on in my ambivalence. I’ve read darker tales of dubious consent, but none that captured my attention so completely because the villain/antagonist was unclear since just when I determined it was one character, circumstances would change, and I was blown out of the water! Author Loki Renard has a wonderfully descriptive prose, so clearly eloquent and detailed, I can still see several scenes in my mind’s eye, days after reading “PROPERTY.” Add to that Renard’s exceptional character development using both dual narration and exigent circumstance to accelerate relationships it is easy to become both invested in and enamored of both Darko and Chloe. Reading “PROPERTY” was so marvelous that the only negative I can conjure is that it had an end, as all novels do. I voluntarily read an advanced copy of “PROPERTY” and this is my voluntary and honest 5-STAR review. As a practice, I do not give more than 4½ stars to a novella because of its length, but “PROPERTY” is just too good to limit! I STRONGLY suggest that you purchase your copy of “PROPERTY” today! Happy pages! 😉

A dark, fast reading and complex story, this book charges in right from the start. It is dark, with a spontaneous feel, like the actions of Drako are meant to be precise but he just can't stick to his own plan. Chloe doesn't know who she is, not really, and it takes a lot of pain for her to realize her own strength. I loved all of the parts where he underestimates her. I imagined her like a Paris Hilton type of super wealthy girl, who is forced into an epiphany of what life is like when you really have to participate and live it. The Order or something like it probably does exist in real life, I just hope I never experience them. I loved the pacing of this story, something is always happening. I'll admit that I did skim over some of the basement parts because they were too much repetitive debasement for my sensibilities, but worked in the overall framework of the plot. Books are a lot like chocolates, you can enjoy the smooth sweetness of milk chocolate, but sometimes you just have a taste for some dark chocolate, and that's just what this book is. It's a cool story, Loki Renard never disappoints!

Grabs you from the first page and never let's go!!

Chloe thought her world had turned upside down the day her father died, she was so wrong!
A man whose name describes him so well, enters her life, lays her bare, disciplines her, and "takes" her in more ways than one.
Taken, he tries to break her, but Chloe has other ideas. He claims to want to help her, by every dark means possible. But Chloe takes back her life, after learning of her "choices" and what is really happening in her world. There will be danger, intrigue, suspense, suspicion, manipulations, dominarion, dub/con, and revelations. All is not as it appears, can bad actions be done for good intentions?
The chemistry, sex scenes, dialogue and interaction between Darko and Chloe has a life and language of it's own, one that belongs only to them.
There is such a surprising twist at the end, instigated by one who may not be as bad as he seems, that brings light, hope and love into Darko and Chloes lives.
Ms. Renard you hit it out of the ball park with this one! Brilliant!

✨ DREAMY’S REVIEW ✨

Property is deliciously dark, dubious consent story filled with spankings and steam.

My first book by this author and I was shocked by how much I enjoyed it! It was very fast paced, as in, everything happened within a blink of an eye!

Holy shit, within the first few chapters I was like WHOA!

I did enjoy all the steamy times between Drako and Chloe. They’re like a match made in heaven, both with such strong personalities.

The story about the Order and the action kept me intrigued!

Drako and Chloe were both able to give each other what they needed. The attraction was apparent. The sex was hot with BDSM elements. The story was well told!

*****

Although, do wish there was more development. While I do like how you did get answers throughout the course of the story, I do wish we got more backstory. The ending wrapped up pretty quick and I wish I got more of it, honestly.

Nonetheless... If you’re looking for something fast paced, action packed, and erotic as hell, give this book a chance!

This is a classic snatch and go and the girl is in so much trouble but is simply not aware of the fact….
Chloe has just lost her father he was her very reason for being and she loved him so much and no she finds herself alone with no one to turn to also she has s niggling feeling that keeps on suggesting that it had not been a heart attack, that there was more to it however she could never have envisioned the truth.
Chloe comes out of the shower and finds a strange man in his shower and she never could have envisioned what he had in store for her, he had been sent to keep her quiet, to ensure she stayed in line but when she discovered he knew about her father and subsequent death her whole world is thrown off it’s axis and it may never return again.
However sometimes even the most unlikely circumstance can bring out a total surprise but life has a way of biting you when you don’t expect it.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

This book comes out of the gate at a fast clip from the first page. Chloe's father has died a few days previously. She's just come back from the funeral. As she's in the shower, in the on suite, she hears the floor creek. Thinking it's her butler and best friend, she calls out but doesn't receive an answer. Wrapping a towel around herself she opens the door and comes face to face with a man she has never seen before in her life. Angry, overwhelmed and frightened, she calls out to call the police. And is immediately informed no one would be helping her. This was a fast paced, intriguing story with a menacing plot running through it. Her characters were absolutely engaging. Just about the time I thought I knew where my loyalties lied things changed and I had to re-evaluate. Loki Renard is a remarkable author of dark, erotic romances that always allows a ray of hope in there if you look. This is one and it was absolutely marvelous. Congratulations on a 5 star review.

Property by Loki Renard is the story of Chloe Parker- Baskerville a spoiled pampered princess whose father died unexpectedly. A few days after his burial she finds herself kidnapped from her bedroom and whisked away to an isolated island. Darko Lijander is a ruthless domineering man who has taken upon himself to take Chloe and get her in line. She has no clue what trouble her father has left her in and she is struggling to wrap her head around her situation. Initially I was a little fuzzy as to how I felt about this story and where the author was going to take it but as a continued reading it , I really enjoyed it. I have recently starting reading this author and I am pleasantly pleased with her stories. The interaction between Chloe and Darko was part funny and part sexy. The sex was definitely hot and kinky. Cute story and I loved the turn it took from being kidnapped to falling in love. Loved the ending and would love to read more about Chloe and Darko. 4 stars for me.

Hot Property...

Loki Renard is one of my favourite authors and for good reason, in her books there is a lot of suspense, dark thrills and plot twists and hot erotic scenes and with this book, that is just in the first chapter..
Chloe world takes a turn for the worst when her father is killed, but when Darko turns up in her apartment, spanks her, kidnaps her then claims he is her master and is trying to protect her from the Order, a group of powerful men who will do more to her than they did her father.
Darko is out to protect Chloe from the Order by training her into submissiveness, but Chloe has been challenging Darko at each turn and he’s just as determined to keep her safe and alive.
While this isn’t as dark as some of Loki previous books it’s still just as fast paced and gripping that you just can’t help but finish it in one sitting...love it 5 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I’d say this is a return to form for Loki Renard, but as she’s never strayed from consistently enjoyable stories that wouldn’t really fit. “Property”, however, *is* a return to the dark, angsty erotic romance that most appeals to me. This tale starts out the gate with a spanking so…chyeah! I’m there! And I do like my bad boys to be as bad as advertised (and not really undercover “good guys”—boo!), so our romantic male leader ticks off that box as well. Throw in some kinky sex devices---okay, I’m pretty one-note with my proclivities, but I will award extra points for creativity!

I wouldn’t mind Loki exploring more characters within this fictional universe---Roland, say?—only pair him with an older, middle class fat chick of only passing attractiveness, for representation purposes perhaps? We all like to see ourselves within the story sometimes.

5 Stars!

Chloe just lost her father, her whole world. She never wanted the money that she was given. It’s a trap. When a strange man comes into her room and spanks her doesn’t know what to make of it. But she feels something. And odd attraction to his dominance. Darko Lijander takes Chloe and has her submit to him, calling him Master. But it isn’t going to that easy. Chloe will fight and he is going to enjoy it.

Let me start off by saying that all this happens within the first chapter. I was holding my breath and panting as all this unfolded. WOW! His dirty talk alone is intoxicating. Chloe is pretty much spoiled and at times knows it and then disregards it. When things take a turn, “all bets are off.” The world is as Darko says, “There is only power. Those who wield it and those who do not.” Sad but true. The story isn’t as dark as you would think it would be. It is more of a turning point.

Chloe - absolutely frickin' adore her! She is such a smart snarky heroine. She knows how to play the game and she's dang good at it
Darko I don't like him and honestly, he just didn't click for me - he was a selfish arse from the opening of the story to the closing - had he listened to Chloe sooner not only would there not have been a mess for Miles to clean up (love this scenes) but so much more angst and loss could have been avoided
I was not a big fan of the opening scene to this story- for me, it just felt like a major stretch. - but once I got a few chapters in - enjoyed the suspense and the drama and Chloe.
I do wish it had been a bit longer - a lot of questions for me were still unanswered and I felt a few areas could have used since more filling/background.
This does contain power play and dub-con

This book has a lot of mystery to it – how Chloe’s father died, who is Darko to her father and now to her, what made Darko feel that he had the right to take control, why was he doing this etc.? There is, as always with this author, a LOT of steamy scenes that may make you glasses mist up! I found this book to be interesting, I enjoyed the plot, I enjoy dark romance, and this is most definitely dark romance. The characters are well rounded and stay in character throughout the book. There is some sarcasm and humourous dialogue via Chloe who is amazingly funny even with everything that she is enduring. It’s a wonderful short story that I’m sure all lovers of dark romance would enjoy!

Chloe's father has just died and Darko comes to her out of nowhere, dominating her and forcing her to leave with him. Chloe is the poor little rich girl who's father provided for her materialistically but never emotionally and while Darko initially seems like the bad guy, his motive is actually well-intentioned. Darko's aim is to break her but his dominance and dark desires fill a deep need in Chloe. She surprises him at every turn and he begins to realize he never wants to let her go. I couldn't put this book down! It's a dark, incredibly steamy story with a decent plot. Can't wait to see what comes next from this author.

Dark and Dirty

After her multibillionaire father died of a heart attack, Chloe Parker-Baskerville is left as the sole remaining family member and heiress to his entire estate. A few days after her father's death, Chloe is abducted from her home and taken to the island getaway of Darko Lijander, a foreign multibillionaire who is trying to break Chloe and keep her from meeting the same fate as her father at the hands of the Order.

This is not the book to read if you have issues with spanking, lack of consent, humiliation, and various types of BDSM play. Although a pretty quick read, with a lot of explicit sexual scenes, there actually is a decent storyline included, as well.

Chloe returns home from her father's funeral and is swiftly kidnapped from her shower. Darko, it turns out has kidnapped her to safe her from the fate that befell her father. Chloe soon discovers that powerful, extremely wealthy men rule the world and want her to fall in line or they will have no qualms killing her as they did her father. Will Chloe succumb to Darko's "training?" Will she get revenge for her father's murder? This is a fast paced read that kept me engaged and had some surprising moments. Chloe is definitely not a weak victim - she holds her own. I totally recommend this book.

Oh my, talk about dark and deprived!! Property fits this description to a T! Chloe is a spoiled bratty princess who’s father dies unexpectedly leaving Chloe his heir to his fortune. Then Chloe is kidnapped and forced into a world she never knew existed, by Darko who is a ruthless businessman and part of an elite circle where backstabbing is the norm and friendships are nonexistent. She is thrust into this world and is forced to survive a game not knowing the rules to the game. Will Darko help her navigate the pitfalls of this world or will he use her to his advantage? Another great read by this author! I can’t wait to see what she puts out next!!

Chloe's father is murdered. She is kidnapped by Drako. He says it's to protect her but it seems like it is for his pleasure. She enjoys and welcomes his dominance. I found it very interesting that Chloe compare her life as being a cage so she is able to bear being put in a cage by Drako. There is action and adventure, murder and power exchange but something was missing, the whole purpose of Drako taking Chloe was to control her assets for the Order and nothing is ever said in the book about any business being conducted by the Order.
